Winding Strings in AdS_3
Correlation functions of one unit spectral flowed states in string theory on
AdS_3 are considered. We present the modified Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov and null
vector equations to be satisfied by amplitudes containing states in winding
sector one and study their solution corresponding to the four point function
including one w=1 field. We compute the three point function involving two one
unit spectral flowed operators and find expressions for amplitudes of three w=1
states satisfying certain particular relations among the spins of the fields.
Several consistency checks are performed.Comment: 35 pages. v2. Important additions: one more author, complete results
for the 3-point function with two w=1 states and new section with computation
of 4-point function with one w=1 state. Acknowledgments and references

Cognitive processes of emotional regulation, burnout and work engagement
Workers constantly resort to cognitive processes of emotion regulation to deal with emotions they experience in the workplace. These processes belong either to the 'automatic' (preconscious and fast) or the 'elaborative' (conscious and slow) mode. This study aims to determine the role of these variables in the work setting and to analyze their relationship with positive and negative affect, engagement and burnout. Method: 350 employees (54.8% men and 45.2% women) were presented with several instruments measuring burnout, engagement, affect and cognitive emotion regulation strategies in a prospective study. An explanatory model was tested through structural equation modeling analysis. Results: Acceptable fit indices and a significant explanatory value both for burnout (61%) and engagement (58%) were obtained. The use of 'automatic' cognitive regulation strategies was associated with the presence of negative affect and burnout whereas 'elaborative' processes were associated with positive affect and engagement. Conclusions: Our findings underscore the importance of the role of cognitive emotion regulation in organizational settings
Improvement of the Rachford-Rice system convergence rate
The Regula-Falsi method to solve the equation f (x) = 0 is very adecuate when in the two first iterates x0 and x1, f (x) have opposite signs. Howewer, in some cases, the convergence of this method can be very slow, specially when i) the images through f of the extreme points of the search interval differ, at least, in one order of magnitude; ii) in the zone where f (x) is smaller, f (x) ≈ 0 and iii) the root of f (x) is approximately in the mean of the search interval. For this cases, in this paper we propose a convergence accelerator function, wich is then used to calculate a adiabatic flash, where are present the characterisitcs of f mentioned above.
Short-term study of effects of fertilisation and cutting treatments on the vegetation dynamics of mountain heathlands in Spain
Invasive breast cancer. Clinical, molecular and genetic aspects
Effect of High-Rate Algal Ponds on Viability of Cryptosporidium parvum Oocysts

Species-Specific Inhibition of RIG-I Ubiquitination and IFN Induction by the Influenza A Virus NS1 Protein
Influenza A viruses can adapt to new host species, leading to the emergence of novel pathogenic strains. There is evidence that highly pathogenic viruses encode for non-structural 1 (NS1) proteins that are more efficient in suppressing the host immune response. The NS1 protein inhibits type-I interferon (IFN) production partly by blocking the TRIM25 ubiquitin E3 ligase-mediated Lys63-linked ubiquitination of the viral RNA sensor RIG-I, required for its optimal downstream signaling. In order to understand possible mechanisms of viral adaptation and host tropism, we examined the ability of NS1 encoded by human (Cal04), avian (HK156), swine (SwTx98) and mouse-adapted (PR8) influenza viruses to interact with TRIM25 orthologues from mammalian and avian species. Using co-immunoprecipitation assays we show that human TRIM25 binds to all tested NS1 proteins, whereas the chicken TRIM25 ortholog binds preferentially to the NS1 from the avian virus. Strikingly, none of the NS1 proteins were able to bind mouse TRIM25. Since NS1 can inhibit IFN production in mouse, we tested the impact of TRIM25 and NS1 on RIG-I ubiquitination in mouse cells. While NS1 efficiently suppressed human TRIM25-dependent ubiquitination of RIG-I 2CARD, NS1 inhibited the ubiquitination of full-length mouse RIG-I in a mouse TRIM25-independent manner. Therefore, we tested if the ubiquitin E3 ligase Riplet, which has also been shown to ubiquitinate RIG-I, interacts with NS1. We found that NS1 binds mouse Riplet and inhibits its activity to induce IFN-β in murine cells. Furthermore, NS1 proteins of human but not swine or avian viruses were able to interact with human Riplet, thereby suppressing RIG-I ubiquitination. In conclusion, our results indicate that influenza NS1 protein targets TRIM25 and Riplet ubiquitin E3 ligases in a species-specific manner for the inhibition of RIG-I ubiquitination and antiviral IFN production
