    Globally Distributed Software Process Engineering

    Software processes is becoming a more addressed issue in software development companies every day. These processes are defined regardless of the environment in which they run. To incorporate aspects of that environment is essential, especially if referring to GSE. Despite this fact, the process itself should not be necessary modified.     Don’t Throw your Software Prototypes Away. Reuse them!

    The mechanism of prototype development is considered by the research and industrial software communities as a key tool for user-developer communication. In software development, prototypes are used in requirements engineering to help elicit and validate users’ needs. Software prototypes like mockups are frequently considered throwaway artefacts and therefore they are often developed very fast, or with very few resources and discarded. In this paper we propose to change this idea, and to create prototypes that can be reused in any model-driven engineering (MDE) process. The paper presents an approach for an automatic mechanism for translating prototype models into requirements models and its implementation in a suitable tool case. This way, software developer teams will be able to dedicate resources to improving communication with users using prototypes because the knowledge acquired will be automatically transferred to the requirements phase of the development process

    El sentido de la innovación educativa desde la mirada del alumnado de Magisterio

    El objetivo principal de esta investigación es conocer, interpretar y valorar las percepciones del alumnado de Magisterio de la Facultad de Educación de Segovia de la Universidad de Valladolid respecto al sentido de la innovación educativa. El enfoque empleado es cualitativo y se desarrolla a través de cuatro entrevistas grupales, de un análisis documental y de la elaboración de un relato autobiográfico por parte de la propia investigadora. Como resultado, se muestra una concepción ligera y simplificada del significado de la innovación educativa, relacionándolo principalmente con la incorporación de alguna novedad, como las tecnologías y las metodologías “innovadoras”. Esta situación evidencia una falta de reflexión sobre la educación como labor de transformación social y una insuficiente formación inicial docente respecto a la innovación educativa.PedagogíaMáster en Investigación e Innovación Educativ

    La elaboración del "Manual de acción para la inclusión" y la formación docente en educación inclusiva

    En nuestro sistema educativo pueden encontrarse todavía procesos y mecanismos de segregación y exclusión, lo que provoca que la educación inclusiva sea un desafío para el profesorado. Esta situación solo puede ser superada con una adecuada formación docente, con el trabajo colaborativo y con el compromiso del profesorado para transformar la educación. Con el presente Trabajo de Fin de Grado pretendemos conocer la formación docente en educación inclusiva obtenida por las personas participantes en el Proyecto de Innovación Docente (PID) «Educación inclusiva y formación en la práctica. Investigación-acción y transformación de la escuela» a través de la elaboración del “Manual de Acción para la Inclusión”. Con este fin, se ha llevado a cabo una investigación cualitativa basada en un estudio de casos sustentado en la observación participante de las reuniones del PID, en la realización de entrevistas a cuatro miembros del PID y en el análisis de materiales elaborados por las personas participantes del propio PID. De este modo, los resultados obtenidos nos permiten afirmar que la elaboración del “Manual de Acción para la Inclusión” ha contribuido a formar docentes más comprometidos con la educación inclusiva.     Lean requirements traceability automation enabled by model-driven engineering

    Background: The benefits of requirements traceability, such as improvements in software product and process quality, early testing, and software maintenance, are widely described in the literature. Requirements traceability is a critical, widely accepted practice. However, very often it is not applied for fear of the additional costs associated with manual efforts or the use of additional tools. Methods: This article presents a “low-cost” mechanism for automating requirements traceability based on the model-driven paradigm and formalized by a metamodel for the creation and monitoring of traces and an integration process for traceability management. This approach can also be useful for information fusion in industry insofar that it facilitates data traceability. Results: This article extends an existing model-driven development methodology to incorporate traceability as part of its development tool. The tool has been used successfully by several companies in real software development projects, helping developers to manage ongoing changes in functional requirements. One of those projects is cited as an example in the paper. The authors’ current work leads them to conclude that a model-driven engineering approach, traditionally used only for the automatic generation of code in a software development process, can also be used to successfully automate and integrate traceability management without additional costs.     The Business Process Management is a common mechanism recommended by a high number of standards for the management of companies and organizations. In software companies this practice is every day more accepted and companies have to assume it, if they want to be competitive. However, the effective definition of these processes and mainly their maintenance and execution are not always easy tasks. This paper presents an approach based on the Model-Driven paradigm for Business Process Management in software companies.     Prevalencia de lesiones bucales en pacientes VIH +, relación con contaje de células CD4+ y carga viral en una población Venezolana

    Objetivo: Determinar la prevalencia de las lesiones bucales en un grupo de pacientes VIH+, su relación con el contaje de linfocitos CD4 y la carga viral, en una muestra de la población venezolana Materiales y métodos: En el presente estudio se evaluaron 75 pacientes adultos VIH+, provenientes del Centro para la Atención de Pacientes con Enfermedades Infectocontagiosas de la Facultad de Odontología de la Universidad Central de Venezuela. Cada uno de ellos fue examinado clínicamente para la detección de las lesiones presentes en la mucosa bucal. Igualmente se les determinó el contaje de células CD4+ mediante citometría de flujo, así como la carga viral mediante la técnica TR-RCP (Transcriptasa Reversa-Reacción en Cadena de la Polimerasa) (Amplicor HIV-1-RNA, TM test 1.5, Roche). Resultados: 85% (64/75) de los pacientes VIH/SIDA presentaron lesiones asociadas a la infección por VIH. Entre ellas, la Candidiasis constituyó la forma más frecuente representando un 61% (39/64), seguida por la Leucoplasia Vellosa con 53% (34/64), Leucoplasia Bucal 34% (22/64), Hiperpigmentación Melánica 38% (18/64). Papiloma 13% (6/64), Eritema Gingival Lineal 8% (5/64), Estomatitis Aftosa Recidivante 5% (4/64), Sarcoma de Kaposi 5% (3/64). Se presentó un solo caso (2%) de cada una de las lesiones que se enumeran a continuación: Linfoma No Hodgkin, Hiperplasia Epitelial Multifocal, Herpes Labial, Histoplasmosis y Molusco Contagioso. Los pacientes con una carga viral de 30.000 copias/mm3, presentaron lesiones bucales relacionadas con VIH independientemente del contaje de células CD4+, aunque los pacientes con niveles de CD4+ menores a 200 cel//mm3, fueron mas susceptibles a desarrollar estas lesiones. Conclusiones: La lesión oral mas frecuente fue la Candidiasis bucal, seguida por la Leucoplasia vellosa, Leucoplasia bucal, e Hiperpigmentación melánica. Una alta carga viral estuvo fuertemente asociada a la presencia de lesiones, independientemente del contaje de células CD4+.Aim: To determine the prevalence of oral lesions in a HIV + group of patients, related to CD4 cell count and viral load in a Venezuelan population. Materials and methods : In the present study, we evaluated 75 HIV+adult patients, attended at the Center of Infectious Diseases, at the Faculty of Dentistry, Central University of Venezuela. Each patient was clinically examined for detection of oral mucosal lesions. In addition, CD4 cell count was determined by flow cytometry, as well as viral load by RT-PCR (Amplicor HIV-RNA, TM test 1.5, Roche) Results: 85% (64/75) of HIV/AIDS patients showed associated HIV lesions. Oral Candidiasis constituted the most common lesion representing a 61% (39/64), followed by Oral Hairy Leukoplakia 53% (34/64); Oral Leukoplakia 34% (22/64), Melanic Hiperpigmentation 38% (18/64); Papilloma 13 (6/64), Lineal Gingival Erithema 8% (5/64); Aphtous Recurrent Stomatitis 5% (4/64) and Kaposi's Sarcoma 5% (3/64). Only one case of the following lesions were represented by Non Hodgkin Lymphoma, Multifocal Epithelial Hyperplasia, Recurrent Herpes, Histoplasmosis and Molluscum Contagiosum. The patients with a viral load of 30.000 copies/mm3 exhibited oral lesions related with HIV, independent of CD4 cell count, although patients with CD4+ levels of 200 cel/mm3 were more susceptible to develop these lesions. Conclusions: The most common oral lesion was Oral Candidiasis followed by Oral Hairy Leukoplakia, Oral Leukoplakia and Melanic Hyperpigmentation. A high viral load was strongly associated to the oral lesions occurrence independently of CD4+ cell count

    Software Process Management: A Model- Based Approach

In this paper, a model-based approach is proposed to facilitate these processes. Thus, a global environment for business processes in software development is presented.     NDT-Suite: A Model-Based Suite for the Application of NDT

    In general, a methodology needs to be empowered by appropriate tool support. Despite MDE paradigm does not result friendly enough in enterprise environments, particularly, the application of transformations among models may become complex, monotonous and very expensive if there are no software tools automating the process. In this context, this research paper presents NDT-Suite. Nowadays, NDT-Suite is composed by a wide set of free Java tools which gives support to enterprises that are using NDT (Navigational Development Techniques) methodology in their projects. All of them support different aspects in NDT usage: quality assurance, exit generation or code checking, among others.
