Comment on "Self-Purification in Semiconductor Nanocrystals"
In a recent Letter [PRL 96, 226802 (2006)], Dalpian and Chelikowsky claimed
that formation energies of Mn impurities in CdSe nanocrystals increase as the
size of the nanocrystal decreases, and argued that this size dependence leads
to "self-purification" of small nanocrystals. They presented
density-functional-theory (DFT) calculations showing a strong size dependence
for Mn impurity formation energies, and proposed a general explanation. In this
Comment we show that several different DFT codes, pseudopotentials, and
exchange-correlation functionals give a markedly different result: We find no
such size dependence. More generally, we argue that formation energies are not

The Impact of Peer-Group Communication and Social Media Use on Students' Characters
The purpose of this study is to investigate (1) the effect of peer group communication on students' morals and (2) the effect that social media use has on students' values. This study was carried out in the Pancur Batu District of North Sumatra Province's Deli Serdang Regency, Indonesia. Our population was 1,207 Muslim students at the state junior high school in the Pancur Batu District, Indonesia. In the end, we selected 300 students as our samples using the proportional stratified random sampling technique. For the research instrument, we employed a questionnaire that was developed to collect information regarding peer group communication and the use of social media among junior high school students in Pancur Batu, Deli Serdang, Indonesia. Path analysis was used to analyze and synthesize research data. The analysis results showed that (1) peer group communication directly affects students' morals, with a path coefficient of 0.179, and (2) the use of social media directly affects students' morals, with a path coefficient of 0.21
EXAMINE THE ROLE OF MOTIVATION IN UTAUT MODEL ON THE USE OF CLOUD COMPUTING BY SMEs DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC
The 2019 Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic is affecting the business sector in Indonesia, especially Small and Medium Enterprise (SMEs) that contribute greatly to the economy which impacted on decrease in revenue due to health protocols. This study aims to examine the role of motivation in the use of cloud computing technology by SMEs during the pandemic by combining it with the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model. The research method uses quantitative data to test hypotheses that have been formulated through a survey of 129 SMEs in Medan using cloud computing technology since the pandemic. Questionnaires are distributed online and offline containing 25 indicators of variables arranged using the Likert scale. The data processing in this study used equation models from Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Smart Partial Least Square (SmartPLS) software. The results of this study received a positive response and showed a significant influence on motivation variable. SME actors have the motivation to survive in the sustainability of their business by using cloud computing technology as a necessity. So that the effect on the intention to use (behavior intention) to use cloud computing technology affects the actual use by SMEs
DETEKSI VARIASI SOMAKLONAL PLANLET Jatropha curcas Linn. HASIL REGENERASI EMBRIO SOMATIK DENGAN MARKA MOLEKULAR ISSR
Physic nut (Jatropha curcas Linn.) has the potential as a source of sustainable biofuels. Somatic embryo proliferation of J. curcas may cause somaclonal variations. This research aimed to investigate somaclonal variations of J. curcas somatic embryo derived-plantlet using ISSR markers. Somatic embryos of J. curcas at the globular phase were cultured on liquid MS medium supplemented with 0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 mg L-1 of 2,4-D. Parameter observed were embryos weight, embryos volume, colour, and size of embryos. After proliferation, the embryos were cultured on a germination medium until the cotyledonary phase. The results showed that proliferation of J. curcas somatic embryos was optimal, with the highest weight and volume, at MS medium added with 1 mg L-1 2,4-D

ABSTRAK
Pemberdayaan masyarakat adalah upaya untuk mengembangkan
kemampuan masyarakat dalam memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya,
menjauhkannya jadi jurang kemiskinan dan meraih kesejahteraan.
September 2019, menurut data BPS kemiskinan di Lampung
mencapai 1,04 juta orang. Perlu upaya memberdayakan masyarakat
untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Majelis Pemberdayaan
Muhammadiyah adalah lembaga yang bergerak untuk
memberdayakan masyarakat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk
menjelaskan bagaimana Peran Majelis Pemberdayaan Masyarakat
(MPM) Muhammadiyah Lampung Dalam Meningkatkan
Kesejahteraan Masyarakat. (Studi Pada Komunitas Petani Organik
Berkemajuan Di Kec. Tegineneng, kab. Pesawaran, prov. Lampung).
Untuk mengetahui pandangan ekonomi Islam tentang peran Majelis
Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (MPM) Muhammadiyah Lampung dalam
meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyaraka.
Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data yang
digunakan adalah data menggunakan data primer dari hasil wawancara
dengan responden. Teknik analisis data setelah data terkumpul baik
dari lapangan maupun pustaka, maka selanjutnya menganalisis data
sesuai dengan permasalahannya. Data tersebut dianalisis dengan
menggunakan analisis data yang bersifat kualitatif, yaitu metode
kualitatif sebagai prosedur penelitian yang menghasilkan data
deskriptif berupa kata-kata tertulis maupun lisan dari orang-orang
yang diamati. Adapun metode berfikir yang dipakai pada penelitian ini
adalah metode deduktif.
Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa Majelis Pemberdayaan Masyarakat
(MPM) Muhammadiyah Lampung telah memberikan dampak positif
dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Dampak tersebut bisa
dilihat dari meningkatnya pendapatan, terpenuhinya kebutuhan
primer, kemudahan dalam akses kesehatan, kemudahan dalam
memenuhi biaya pendidikan, dan terlaksananya ibadah zakat maal
para petani yang tergabung dalam Komunitas Petani Organik
Berkemajuan. Pemberdayaan yang dilakukan oleh Majelis
Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (MPM) Muhammadiyah Lampung sudah
sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip ekonomi Islam. Kesesuaian praktik dan
teori yang dibangun dari teologi surat Al-Mauun, memberikan
dampak yang baik kepada semangat para petani yang ada dalam

Komunitas Petani Organik Berkemajuan dalam menjalankan kegiatan
pertaniannya. Para petani ini bukan sekedar semangat untuk mencari
keuntungan materi saja tetapi juga mencari keberkahan, pahala dan
ridho dari Allah.

Modification of media compositions for micropropagation of Acorus calamus L.
Modification of medium composition is a critical step in tissue culture to find out the best medium formulation for micropropagation. Furthermore, reduction of some nutrients as well as sugar and plant growth regulator concentrations are an effort often done to make the production of seedlings more economic. The aim of the study was to modify media composition by reduction of macronutrients and sugar concentrations in combination with BAP for micropropagation of Acorus calamus. Experiments of Calamus micropropagation was established by culturing single shoots to MS medium with 100, 50, 33.3 and 25% macronutrients added with sugar at 30, 20, and 10 g/l in combination with 0, 0.5, and 1 mg/l BAP. Each medium treatment had nine replicates. Growth of culture was determined every week until 6 weeks of culture. Growth variable recorded was shoots numbers, leaf length, leaf numbers and root numbers. At six weeks of culture, chlorophyll content was also observed. The results showed that reduction of macronutrients and sugar did not influence shoot and leaf numbers in MS medium but required 0.5-1 mg/l BAP. Rooting is best in medium with no addition of BAP. Chlorophyll content decreased in the medium containing BAP in all reduced macronutrients and sugar concentrations. All plantlets survived in the field. Reduction of macronutrients and sugar can be applied for Calamus shoot culture. Cytokinin BAP is critical for shoot growth but this could be omitted for rooting. Therefore, this finding offered more choices in micropropagation of Calamus with low-cost production
