El Duende Especulativo sobre la Vida Civil in the european circuit of spectators

La serie de los espectadores españoles se inició con el título El Duende Espe¬culativo sobre la Vida Civil publicado bajo el pseudónimo Juan Antonio Mercadàl. Hasta ahora no se sabe a ciencia cierta quién se escondía detrás de este nombre. ¿Puede ser Francisco Mariano Nipho, fundador del periodismo moderno en España, o bien Juan En¬rique Graef, periodista de origen holandés? Lo que sí es cierto es la filiación cultural de este periódico moralista. Su hipotexto es el periódico francófono-holandés Le Misantrope de Justus van Effen, publicado en La Haya como adaptación libre de los prototipos ingleses The Tatler y The Spectator. En nuestra contribución hemos analizado las relaciones intertextuales o interperiodísticas, para posicionar mejor este primer espectador español en el tablero discursivo europeo. Después de un análisis del Duende y del Misantrope a nivel micronarrativo, hemos descrito los puntos relevantes de conexión que existen entre los dos textos. El resultado demuestra un trasvase de los valores protestantes hacia el sis¬tema discursivo español, cuya axiología impregnada por la ética católica seguía reaccionando a los discursos exógenos para adaptarse paulatinamente a la poética general de los espectadores y contribuyendo a su vez al desarrollo de un género significativo de la época

La théorie des systèmes luhmannienne : un nouveau paradigme en sciences sociales ?

La présente étude se propose de repérer les traits principaux de la théorie des systèmes autopoïétiques qui a, depuis le début des années 80, fortement marqué les discours des sciences sociales en Allemagne. Notre analyse se réfère aux concepts-clé de ce nouveau paradigme, élaboré par Niklas Luhmann, et montre leur fonctionnement. La genèse du sens telle quelle s'opère dans la société moderne se trouve au centre de l'intérèt. Avec ses trois dimensions constituantes (du temps, du social et de la chose), le sens peut être mieux observé dans l'ensemble des systèmes, qui est englobé par un environnement de plus en plus complexe. Finalement nous observerons, à titre d'essai, le système littéraire pour y relever les possibilités et les limites de cette nouvelle approche.In the past decade, the mainstream-discourses in German Social Sciences have been strongly influenced by the theoretical design proposed by Niklas Luhman, which is generally called Systems Theory. In the present article I will discuss the dominant conceptions of this extremely abstract approach and focalize my reflections on the problem of the sense : How does sense evolve in social systems and how can it be observed ? Is a better observation garanteed by the unfolding three dimensions of sense ? An exemple like the literary system will show the possibilities and limits of this new paradigm in Social Sciences

El Duende Especulativo sobre la Vida Civil en la red europea de los espectadores

The series of the Spanish Spectators started with El Duende Especulativo sobre la Vida Civil published under the pseudonym of Juan Antonio Mercadàl. We do not have any certainty about the identity of the author. Was it Francisco Mariano Nipho, founder of modern journalism in Spain, or was it Juan Enrique Graef, journalist of Dutch origin? But we can be sure about the cultural filiation of the moral paper. Its hypotext is the francophone Dutch paper Le Misantrope of Justus van Effen, which was published in TheHague as an adaptation of the English prototypes The Tatler and The Spectator. In our contribution we are analysing the intertextual or interjournalistic relations, in order to place the Spanish newspaper within the European discoursive context. After an analysis of the Duende and the Misantrope on a micronarrative level, we are describing the relevant aspects of the connection between the two texts. It was possible to observe the export of protestant values of the early Spectators to the discourse system of Spain, whose specific axiology of a catholic ethic system does not only react to the foreign discourses, but does adapt itself to the poetics of the Spectators, contributing to the development of a significant genre of its time. La serie de los espectadores españoles se inició con el título El Duende Espe­culativo sobre la Vida Civil publicado bajo el pseudónimo Juan Antonio Mercadàl. Le système narratif des « spectateurs » et leur réception en Espagne : quelques vecteurs discursifs dans le Pensador de José Clavijo y Fajardo

In our contribution, we want to take a closer look at the poetics and the narrative system of the periodical El Pensador (1762-1767), first important « spectator » in the Hispanic culture. Its author was José Clavijo y Fajardo. In the research concerning the outreaching of the European moral press, we have to consider the question to what extent this first important spectator of Spain was participating at the narrative and cultural transmission within the spectatorial network of the continent. What kind of micro-narrations are collected from other hypotextual spectators – in English, French or Italian –, and what are its imitations? Following this argumentation, we also have to ask to what extent the spectatorial narrations are linked to the Hispanic tradition

La ficcionalización de las voces americanas en el género periodístico de los espectadores españoles

The genre of the « spectators » was developed on the ground of the English moral press by Richard Steele and Joseph Addison and had a strong impact during the 18th century. It followed some well-known formal lines and disseminated values of protestant origin, which caused a lot of controversial reactions in the catholic ambiance of Europe and the Americas. The fictionalization of American voices had been an important feature in this process of reception. And we want to show that the spectators are also reflected in the creole discourses of American Independence

Ulrich Schulz-Buschhaus et la romanistique germanophone

Dans le développement de la romanistique germanophone, en particulier de 1968 à 2000, Ulrich Schulz-Buschhaus (1941-2000) a exercé une fonction-clef dans l’étude philologique des formes littéraires et de leur médiation transculturelle. Avec ses nombreux comptes rendus et contributions portant sur les littératures romanes, il s’est avéré non seulement être le grand architecte d’un champ épistémologique complexe mais aussi un observateur avisé de deux changements de paradigme dans les Sciences humaines : celui des années 60, notamment de l’année 68 et celui de la fin des années 80.Ulrich Schulz-Buschhaus (1941-2000) gilt als einer der bedeutendsten Vertreter der neueren Romanistik. Sein Forschungsinteresse bezog sich vorrangig auf das Studium der literarischen Formen und deren transkultureller Vermittlung. Mit seiner beeindruckenden Rezensionstätigkeit wie auch mit seinen zahlreichen Beiträgen zu den romanischen Literaturen trug er maßgeblich zur Ausrichtung des Faches mit, wobei seine Schriften den doppelten Paradigmenwechsel in den Humanwissenschaften der letzten Jahrzehnte – d.h. jenen der Sechziger Jahre, insbesondere von 1968, und jenen der späten Achtziger Jahre – reflektieren.In the development of the Germanic Romance Studies, particularly from 1968 to 2000, Ulrich Schulz-Buschhaus (1941-2000) had a key role in the philological study of literary forms and their transcultural mediation.
