    Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah untuk membahas suatu aspek khusus dari interaksi kelas dan penggunaan bahasa di kelas bahasa yakni penanda wacana (DMs). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus. Menggunakan data yang diperoleh dari dua guru mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris yang mengajar di enam kelas Bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa asing di salah satu SMA di Surakarta, penelitian ini mendeskripsikan kejadian dan fungsi tekstual dari DMs yang digunakan oleh guru. Analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 19 DMs baik dalam Bahasa Inggris, Bahasa Indonesia, atau Bahasa Jawa yang digunakan kedua guru dalam ujaran guru di kelas. Artikel ini juga menguraikan sejumlah fungsi tekstual DMs yang secara signifikan berkontribusi terhadap alur organisasi diskursus kelas yang koheren dan lancar dalam interaksi kelas. Fakta bahwa DMs adalah perangkat berharga untuk memudahkan struktur diskursus kelas menyarankan bahwa harus ada peningkatan kesadaran tentang penggunaan DMs dalam ujaran guru

    Studi pemanfaatan jenis burung air di pantai utara Indramayu, Jawa Barat dilakukan pada bulan Agustus-Oktober 2002. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan di lapang tercatat delapan jenis burung air, di mana dua jenis di antaranya merupakan jenis burung migran. Kegiatan menjaring burung merupakan pekerjaan sampingan dari penduduk desa sekitar pantai utara Indramayu, yang pada umumnya bekerja sebagai petani, untuk menambah pendapatan keluarga. Hampir semua masyarakat desa dari kelas usia produktif melakukan kegiatan tersebut dan menjualnya ke penampung. Setelah daging burung digoreng, siap dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat. Dua jenis burung air yang populer dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat adalah segrek (Gallirallus striatus) dan kuntul (Egretta intermedia). Perlu upaya pengendalian aktivitas masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan potensi jenis burung tersebut, agar pemanfaatan sumber daya fauna tersebut dapat berlangsung secara berkelanjutan

    Indonesian Mirabilis jalapa Linn. : A Pharmacognostical and Preliminary Phytochemical Investigations

    Mirabilis jalapa Linn. is an important medicinal plant and used extensively by the people from different countries for the treatment of several disorders. The plant was the raw material for the herb-drug product, so some parameters identified were needed to ensure the safety, quality and efficacy of the product. Objective: The aim of this study was to undertake pharmacognostical studies to fulfill the work required for the identification the M. jalapa plant, which is collected from the Bogor area, Indonesia. Methods: Macroscopic and microscopic evaluation, fluorescence standards, phytochemical screening and physicochemical parameters were carried out on the above plant. Results: The parameters values of total ash, water soluble and acid insoluble ash were obtained 11.81, 5.06 and 0.41%, respectively. Moisture content, alcohol, water and ether soluble extractive were found to be 12.41, 11.02, 18.63 and 7.17% respectively. The results of preliminary phytochemical analysis of aqueous ethanolic extract of this drug were positive for alkaloids, tannins, flavonoids, steroid, triterpenoids, saponin, phenols, glycosides and carbohydrate. Thin layer chromatography (TLC) of alcoholic, chloroform and aqueous extracts showed 9, 7 and 4 spots respectively. Conclusion: The present study on botanical pharmacognosy and TLC profile of this plant above thus provides useful information for correct identification and quality control parameters for the crude drugs, and also will be useful in making monograph of the plant

    Lecturer Corrective Feedback in Speaking Class at English Department of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta

    This study aimed to describe the implementation of corrective feedback which was used by lecturers in speaking class at the English Department of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. The purpose of this study was to describe: 1) the types of corrective feedback, 2) the dominant type of corrective feedback and 3) the purpose of the corrective feedback. This research was a descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of the research were the lecturers and the students in speaking class. Methods of data collection in this study were observation, interview, and voice recording. The techniques of analyzing data were data reduction, data display, conclusions and verification. The researcher got the data from events, respondents and documents. The results of the research showed that 1) there were five types of corrective feedback used by the lecturers, namely explicit correction, recast, metalinguistic, elicitation and clarification request, 2) the dominant type of corrective feedback that was used by the lecturers was recast correction, 3) the researcher found some purposes of corrective feedback provided by the lecturers. They were as a provider of information for lecturers and students, guiding the students to be independent students, as a provider of advice for students, motivating the students, and providing language input for students.     Potensi Nipah (Nypa Fruticans (Thunb.) Wurmb.) Sebagai Sumber Pangan Dari Hutan Mangrove

    Potency of Nypa as a Food Resource from Mangrove Forest. Research on potency of nypa (Nypa fruticans (Thunb.) Wurmb.) as a food resource was conducted at Sangkimah Lama Village Sangatta, East Kutai District, East Kalimantan Province from September to November 2009. The data collected from five plots with measurement of 10 m x 10 m laid in purposive random sampling procedure. The result showed that the number of tree per hectare was 1,984 included 1,067 trees bearing fruits. Every tree has 3.55 lump of fruit in average with 2.83 lump was ripe fruits and 0.76 lump was unripe. The average number of fruit was 196,120 per hectare. In a hectare of land could yield 1.89 ton unripe fruit and 3.27 tons of nypa powder. The powder was composed of high fiber with low fat and calory. So this food has potency for dietary program

    AbstractThis study aimed to determine the implementation of the used of the North Kayong regional government scholarship grants for students of the social sciences education department of Fkip Untan, with descriptive methods. The type of research was qualitative. The data sources in this study were 6 social studies students majoring in social sciences. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study can be seen that (1) the implementation of the used of the North Kayong regional government scholarship funds by students was partly in accordance with the applicable rules but there were still some that were not in accordance with the rules. (2) discrepancies in the used of scholarship funds by scholarship recipients were indicated by students who still used scholarship funds for their personal needs such as buyed bags, clothes, shoes. The main priority of scholarship funds should be used for college purposes, such as buyed books, photocopyed, printing assignments, and buyed stationery for college. (3) efforts made by the scholarship management to avoid inconsistencies in the used of scholarship funds, namely by monitoring evaluations on each semester and making accountability reports for the used of scholarship funds by students to find out in their used each semester.Keywords: Comdev Students, Local Government Assistance, Scholarship

    Analisis Keberlanjutan Pengelolaan Hutan Lindung Mangrove di Batu Ampar, Kabupaten Kubu Raya, Provinsi Kalimantan Barat

    Hutan lindung mangrove mempunyai fungsi dan manfaat secara ekonomi, ekologi dan sosial. Pengelolaannya memerlukan perencanaan yang dapat menjamin keberlanjutan fungsi dan manfaat tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat keberlanjutan pengelolaan hutan lindung mangrove dan menentukan faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap pengelolaan hutan lindung mangrove yang berkelanjutan. Analisis data menggunakan RAP-Mpforest dengan metode multidimensional scaling (MDS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa status keberlanjutan pengelolaan hutan lindung mangrove di Kecamatan Batu Ampar adalah cukup berkelanjutan (54,59%) pada kriteria ekologi; dan kurang berkelanjutan pada kriteria ekonomi (34,06%) dan kriteria sosial (42,03%). Faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap keberlanjutan pengelolaan hutan lindung mangrove meliputi: (1) penataan batas kawasan; (2) kesesuaian Peruntukan kawasan; (3) ketersediaan bibit tanaman mangrove; (4) perlindungan terhadap flora dan fauna; (5) pendapatan pemerintah dari pengelolaan dan pemanfaatan hutan lindung mangrove; (6) tingkat pendapatan masyarakat sekitar hutan; (7) mekanisme resolusi konflik lahan yang efektif; dan (8) praktek budaya lokal dalam pelestaria hutan lindung mangrove; (9) ketersediaan organisasi masyarakat dalam pengelolaan hutan lindung mangrove; dan (10) keterlibatan masyarakat dalam pengelolaan hutan lindung mangrove. Perencanaan pengelolaan yang tidak mempertimbangkan kesepuluh faktor tersebut secara seimbang tidak akan menjamin keberlanjutan pengelolaan hutan lindung mangrove di Batu Ampar

Populasi  penelitian adalah siswa kelas III SDN Kebon Jeruk 11 Pagi Jakarta Barat. Pengambilan sampel penelitian dilakukan sampel tujuan dengan jumlah sampel adalah 32 siswa kelas III A  sebagai kelas kontrol dan 32 siswa kelas III B sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes, angket dan lembar observasi. Penelitian dilakukan selama dua bulan pada November dan Desember 2019. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain faktorial 2x2. Variabel pada penelitian ini adalah penggunaan media manipulatif sebagai variabel bebas, kepercayaan diri sebagai variabel moderator dan hasil belajar Matematika sebagai variabel terikat. Analisis data menggunakan uji-F dan uji-t dengan ANOVA dua jalur.  Hasil Penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa 1) terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media manipulatif terhadap hasil belajar Matematika. 2) terdapat pengaruh kepercayaan diri terhadap hasil belajar Matematika. 3) terdapat pengaruh interaksi penggunaan media manipulatif pada pembelajaran Matematika dan kepercayaan diri terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas III SDN Kebon Jeruk 11 Pagi Jakarta Barat Kata Kunci : media manipulatif, kepercayaan diri, matematika ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine: 1) the effect of using manipulative media on mathematics learning outcomes, 2) the effect of self-confidence on mathematics learning outcomes, 3) the interaction effect between the use of manipulative media on mathematics learning and self-confidence on the learning outcomes of third grade students at SDN Kebon Jeruk 11 am West Jakarta. The population of the study was the third grade students of SDN Kebon Jeruk 11 Pagi, West Jakarta. The sampling of the research was carried out by the objective sample with the number of samples being 32 students of class III A as the control class and 32 students of class III B as the experimental class. The instruments used in the form of tests, questionnaires and observation sheets. The research was conducted for two months in November and December 2019. The type of research used is a quantitative approach using an experimental method with a 2x2 factorial design. The variables in this study were the use of manipulative media as an independent variable, self-confidence as a moderator variable and mathematics learning outcomes as the dependent variable. Data analysis used F-test and t-test with two-way ANOVA.     Management of Protected Mangrove Forest Based Benefit Value in Batu Ampar District, West Kalimantan, Indonesia

    Total economic value of mangrove ecosystem at Batu Ampar was amounted to 35,223,474,120 per year with 5,198.52 ha of mangrove area, consisting of existing value Rp 27,386,581,500 per year (77.75%); indirect value Rp 3,869,442,410 per year (10.98%); direct use value Rp 2,929,650,000 per year (8.32%); and option value Rp 1,037,800,210 per year (2.95%). Besides the good perception of community to the function of mangrove, mangrove ecosystem utilization was sustainability because still under potential value of mangrove ecosystem. To guarantee the sustainability of mangrove utilization by local community in Batu Ampar, it was recommended to divide zones of utilization are into 2 zones, i.e. protection zone and limited utilization zone. Protected mangrove forest needs to be managed prudently in accordance with the purpose of sustainable development. To determine the potential and utilization of protected mangrove forests carried out by local communities in the District of Batu Ampar, it is necessary to know the value of protected mangrove forest beneficiaries utilized by them. The results showed that the dominant mangrove tree species are Rhizophora apiculata, Bruguiera gymnorhiza, Sonneratia alba, and Avicennia alba
