    Role of nurses in the emotional and physical integrity of patients in the postoperative period a literature review study

    The present study aimed to describe as main contributions that the nursing team brings physical recover y and emotional control of patients in the post­surgical moment. To respond to this objective, the Integrative Literature Review was adopted as a methodology. Going through six steps, identification of the theme, problem definition, elaboration of studies which was built from the acronym PICo, search in databases, selection of those with north through sample, and search strategies. From the acronym, the guiding question of the study was defined in the period: What is the contribution of the nursing team to the postoperative patient? The search in the databases through the crossing of descriptions, used as a filter carried out during the 5­year period of work, resulted in 11 articles included in the final sample. The results of the studies obtained showed that the nurse is a key and necessary part in the patient's recovery from their preliminary conditions to the operational procedures performed, being ideal for the execution of an integral and genuine professional in view of the professional skills they have .Pesquisa sem auxílio de agências de fomentoTrabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação)O presente estudo teve como objetivo descrever as principais contribuições que a equipe de enfermagem traz na recuperação física e no controle emocional dos pacientes no momento pós­cirúrgico. Para responder a este objetivo foi adotada como metodologia a Revisão Integrativa de Literatura. Percorrendo seis etapas, identificação do tema, definição do problema, elaboração da pergunta norteadora, a qual foi construída através do acrônimo PICo, busca nas bases de dados, seleção dos estudos que compuseram a amostra, e as estratégias de busca. A partir do acrônimo, definiu­se a pergunta norteadora do estudo como Qual a contribuição da equipe de enfermagem ao paciente no período pós­operatório? A busca nas bases de dados através do cruzamento de descritores, utilizou como filtro trabalhos realizados no período dos últimos 5 anos, que resultou em 11 artigos incluídos na amostra final. Os resultados obtidos dos estudos evidenciaram que o enfermeiro é parte chave e indispensável na recuperação do paciente a suas condições prévias aos procedimentos cirúrgicos, sendo o profissional ideal para prestação de cuidado integral e genuíno em vista das competências profissionais que possui

    Tecnologia assistiva e envelhecimento ativo segundo profissionais atuantes em grupos de convivência

    Objective: To identify the knowledge of professionals about assistive technology and its importance in the elderly’s life. Method: Exploratory descriptive qualitative study performed with professionals working in three community groups in the city of Cajazeiras (state of Paraíba/PB). Data were collected through an interview with semi-structured script and analyzed according to the Content Analysis Technique. Results: Participation of 45 professionals. Four categories were identified, namely: Knowledge about assistive technology; Professionals’ lack of knowledge about available assistive technologies for implementation in work with the elderly; Use of assistive technology by the elderly; Impact on professional practices after implementation of assistive technology. Conclusion: Some of professionals have knowledge about assistive technology and others make a wrong interpretation by confusing it with working instruments. In spite of the positive impact of assistive technology on certain professionals’ practice, there is need for training in order to provide a better use of assistive technologies by the elderly.Objective: To identify the knowledge of professionals about assistive technology and its importance in the elderly’s life.     Efeito do relaxamento muscular progressivo no estresse e bem-estar no trabalho de enfermeiros hospitalar

    Objective: To evaluate the effect of progressive muscle relaxation on the levels of stress and workplace well-being of hospital nurses.Method: This is an intervention, of the before-after type, longitudinal, which monitored 16 nurses from a hospital institution for eight consecutive weeks submitted to a progressive muscle relaxation protocol. Data were collected by questionnaire, Work Stress Scale and Well-being at Work Scale. Shapiro-Wilk, Wilcoxon, Sperman and Mann-Whitney tests were used.Results: The mean stress level decreased (60/55 p= 0.166) and the mean workplace well-being factors: positive affect, negative affect and fulfillment increased (3.22/3.42 p=0.073; 2.07/2.29 p=0.094 and 3.71/3.92 p=0.060), respectively.Conclusion: The study revealed that the progressive muscle relaxation reduced the means of stress and promoted well-being at work among the nurses.Objetivo: Evaluar el efecto del relajamiento muscular progresivo em los niveles de estrés y bienestar en el trabajo de enfermeros hospitalarios. Método: Estudio de intervención, de tipe antes y después, longitudinal, que ha acompañado 16 enfermeros de una instituición hospitalaria por ocho semanas consecutivas sometidos a un protocolo de relajamiento muscular progresivo. Se han recogido los datos con cuestionario, Escala de Estrés em el Trabajo; Escala de Bienestar en el Trabajo. Se han utilizado las pruebas Shapiro-Wilk, T pareado, Wilcoxon, Sperman y Mann-Whitney. Resultados: Se observó reducción de los promedios de estrés (60/55 p=0,166) y aumento de los promedios de los factores de bienestar en el trabajo- afecto positivo, afecto negativo y realización (3.22/3,42 p=0,073; 2,07/2,29 p=0,094 e 3,71/3,92 p=0,060), respectivamente.     Dicionário Escolar e Livro Didático: uso na construção do conhecimento linguístico na Escola de Educação Básica

    In this article we analyze some attempts to articulate the use of the School Dictionary (SD) and the textbook in the context of teaching and learning the Portuguese language. The DE and the textbook are tools linked to the teacher's work, aided in the process of teaching and learning languages. We want to understand the conceptions regarding the morphosyntactic terms referring to the grammatical classes present in these pedagogical materials and which dialogues are made possible by the teaching intermediation for the expansion of the students' linguistic repertoire. The documentary methodology (SÁ-SILVA, ALMEIDA e GUINDANI, 2009) was used, which analyzing materials from the PNLD (Programa Nacional do Livro e do Material Didático). The results showed that the concepts of grammar classes presented by the textbook alone are not enough to expand students' linguistic knowledge. In this sense, the dialectical relationship between the textbook and the dictionary in Portuguese language classes can make teaching and learning more fruitful.Neste artigo analisamos algumas tentativas de articulação entre o uso do Dicionário Escola (DE) e o Livro Didático (LD) no contexto de ensino e aprendizagem de Língua Portuguesa. O DE e o LD são ferramentas vinculadas ao trabalho do professor, auxiliado no processo de ensinar e aprender línguas.  Buscou-se compreender as concepções dos termos morfossintáticos referentes às classes gramaticais presentes nos referidos materiais pedagógicos e quais diálogos são possibilitados pela intermediação docente para a ampliação do repertório linguístico dos alunos. Foi utilizada a metodologia documental (SÁ-SILVA, ALMEIDA e GUINDANI, 2009), com análise de materiais do PNLD (Programa Nacional do Livro e do Material Didático). Os resultados deste estudo mostraram que os conceitos das classes gramaticais apresentados pelo livro didático ampliados pelas atividades propostas e pela consulta ao dicionário pode facilitar a compreensão por parte dos alunos. Nesse sentido, a relação dialética entre o livro didático e o dicionário nas aulas de língua portuguesa podem tornar o ensino e aprendizagem mais profícuos

    INTEGRAÇÃO DA EDUCAÇÃO PROFISSIONAL AO ENSINO MÉDIO NO PARANÁ: DAS INTENÇÕES AOS RESULTADOS

    This text presents a bibliographic discussion on documents and interviews data related to professional and high school teaching. It aims at integrating professional education to high school education in two schools in the state of Paraná, from 2004 to 2010. It questions how this integration took place. High School teaching dissociated itself from professional education with the LDBEN 9.394/96, regulated by Decree 2.208/97. In order to reverse the guidelines from this norm, the Decree was revoked with the enactment of Decree 5.154/2004. The government of Paraná anticipated such integration, by introducing, in 2003, political and pedagogical guidelines for the process of integrating professional education into High Schools and by developing an integrated high school education in state schools in 2004. As a result of this process, some actions became necessary such as the continuing education of teachers, a review of the pedagogical projects and a new curricular concept. It was concluded that the possibilities and limits of this proposal lie in the comprehension of the work as an educational principle.http://dx.doi.org/10.14572/nuances.v24i3.2704Este texto apresenta discussão bibliográfica, de documentos e dados de entrevistas referentes ao ensino médio e profissional. Visa analisar a integração da educação profissional ao ensino médio no estado do Paraná no período de 2004 a 2010 em duas escolas. Questiona-se como ocorreu a integração. O ensino médio tornou-se dissociado da educação profissional com a LDBEN 9.394/96, normatizado pelo Decreto 2.208/97. A fim de reverter os encaminhamentos oriundos dessa normativa foi revogado o Decreto 2.208/97 com a promulgação do Decreto 5.154/2004. O governo do Paraná antecipou tal integração, apresentando, já no ano de 2003, as bases políticas e pedagógicas norteadoras do processo de integração da educação profissional ao ensino médio, passando a desenvolver o ensino médio integrado em escolas da rede estadual no ano de 2004. Como resultados desse processo, tornaram-se necessárias a formação continuada de professores, a revisão dos projetos pedagógicos e uma nova concepção curricular.     Spiritual and religious assistance to cancer patients in the hospital context

    Objective: To investigate how patients with diagnosis of cancer conceive the religious/spiritual support in the hospital context. Methods: Exploratory study, with qualitative approach, conducted with patients affected by cancer, assisted in the Medical and Surgical Clinic of the University Hospital Lauro Wanderley (HULW/UFPB). Results: From the analysis of the qualitative data, after attentive readings of the speeches of the interviewed, the following thematic categories emerged: Category 1 - Meaning of the religious/spiritual support received during hospitalization; Category 2 - Promoters of the religious/spiritual support in the hospital environment; Category 3 - Participation in religious/spiritual activities during hospitalization. Conclusion: The results revealed that religiosity/spirituality is an important tactic in facing the oncologic disease, considering that the patients interviewed reported the positive meaning of the support received, because faith provides a constructive way of thinking. Thus, it was possible to evidence the relevance of the religious/spiritual support for oncologic patients during the hospital stay

    A estimulação elétrica de alta voltagem tem sido indicada para acelerar processos de cicatrização. Os efeitos da estimulação elétrica de alta voltagem, no tratamento de três voluntários com úlceras crônicas de membros inferiores, foram avaliados. Após quinze semanas de tratamento, pôde ser observada a redução da área de todas as úlceras, a qual sugere que a EEAV é um método eficaz no tratamento de úlceras crônicas.High voltage electrical stimulation has been recommended as a means of accelerating the wound healing process. The effects of high voltage electrical stimulation were evaluated in the treatment of three volunteers with chronic ulcers of the lower limbs. After fifteen weeks of treatment, a reduction was found in the area of all the ulcers, suggesting that high voltage electric stimulation is an effective therapeutic option for chronic ulcers
