    The Sun activity was correlation with weather activities in global scale. Shortwave emission from flare sun space could be impact warmer in earth atmosphere only a short time and indirect caused atmospheric circulation pattern through polar direction from equator with more heater than the other palaces. Based on research the sun activity can caused indirect on the earth. On the other hand, atmosphere is in the first time accept effect modify from sun space. The effect is not the same at every layers of atmosphere. In the top atmosphere (Ionosphere) was layer with more free electron at the 225 km level occurred electron density diurnal and seasonal variation depend on sun position, and sun spot cycle. Sun spot impact on Indonesian weather with non-linier cubic equation. Solar radiation higher if increase amount of sun spot in the sun space. On the other hand, temperature and relative humidity influenced by outgoing radiation from earth, latitude and local topography specific than sunspot. It is interesting to note that this study different with literature. This study found average temperature in the tropic area the most highest than others area is contrary with literature

    With regard to the problem of motorcycle accidents in Indonesia, the human factor is unique and complex factors. In this study, an analysis of the contribution of the indicators of human factor in a motorcycle accident was conducted. The results show that lack of discipline committed by riders and high vehicle speeds contribute to and affect motorcycle accident occurrence significantly. Although not too dominant, the rider emotion, lack of concentration when driving, and lack of maturity also have a significant influence on thespeed of motorcycles

    Profil baja merupakan material bahan konstruksi yang sudah umum dipergunakan pada bangunan. Untuk mempermudah pemakaian, kontraktor maupun konsultan mempergunakan tabel profil konstruksi baja sebagai alat bantu perhitungan. Pada Kenyataannya, tabel profil baja saat ini hanya menyediakan data-data berupa berat, luas penampang, momen inersia, radius girasi, dan modulus elastis. Tugas akhir ini bertujuan mengembangkan tabel profil baja untuk profil tunggal, serta menyusun tabel baru untuk profil ganda, juga profil castellated beam. Data-data yang akan dikembangkan berupa kuat tarik nominal, kuat tekan nominal, kuat lentur nominal, dan kuat geser nominal untuk profil baja. Penyusunan tabel ini akan memberikan kemudahan untuk merencanakan bangunan baja berdasarkan SNI 03-1729-2002 dan Journal of Structural Engineering (ASCE, 1992)

    Saat ini sistem keamanan konvensional seperti password atau kartu sudah tidak handal lagi karena keamanan sistem dapat ditembus oleh para pihak yang tidak berwenang menggunakan password atau kartu seseorang. Oleh karena itu dikembangkan sistem biometrik yang berdasarkan pada karakteristik alami manusia yaitu karakteristik fisiologis dan karakteristik perilaku seperti wajah, sidik jari, iris mata, retina mata, DNA, tanda tangan, dan suara, dimana sistem tersebut tidak mudah dicuri atau digunakan oleh pihak yang tidak berwenang.Dalam paper ini akan diusulkan suatu sistem keamanan akses menggunakan pengenalan pola iris mata dengan arsitektur JST yaitu Jaringan Propagasi Balik menggunakan program Matlab. Setelah berhasil dilakukan pengenalan pola iris mata maka dilakukan kontrol yang sesuai, dalam bahasan ini menggunakan mikrokontroler AT Mega 8535 sebagai pemroses data yang masuk untuk mengendalikan otomatisasi buka tutup pintu . Sistem ini dicoba diterapkan dalam sistem keamanan pada pintu masuk sebuah ruangan yang penting dimana hanya orang-orang tertentu saja yang boleh masuk. Sehingga apabila data iris mata sesuai dengan pola, maka pintu ruangan dapat terbuka. Sebaliknya bila pola iris mata tidak dikenali maka pintu tidak akan terbuka

    Crushing behaviour of plain weave composite hexagonal cellular structure

    The tradition of fibre composite materials in energy absorbing tube applications has gained interest in structural collisions in the composite materials industry. Thus, the subject of this work is the experimental investigation to understand the effects of the failure initiator at the specimen’s edge, causing the increase in the specific absorbed energy (SEA), as well as the influence of the cellular structure composed of cells with small hexagonal angle exhibited high energy absorption capability. An extensive experimental investigation of an in plane crashing behavior of the composite hexagonal cellular structure between platen has been carried out. The cellular structure composed of hexagonal cells with angles varying between 45 and 60°. The materials used to accomplish the study are the plain weave E-glass fabric as a reinforcement and the epoxy resin system as a matrix. Furthermore, the specific energy absorption increases as the hexagonal angle increases

    The chemisorption of the soft scorpionate Li[PhTmMe] onto silver and gold surfaces is reported. Surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy in combination with the Raman analysis of suitable structural models, namely, [Cu(κ3-S,S,S-PhTmMe)(PCy3)], [Ag(κ3-S,S,S-PhTmMe)(PCy3)], [Ag(κ2-S,S-PhTmMe)(PEt3)], and [Au(κ1-S-PhTmMe)(PCy3)], are employed to identify the manner in which this potentially tridentate ligand binds to these surfaces. On colloidal silver surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) spectra are consistent with PhTmMe binding in a didentate fashion to the surface, holding the aryl group in close proximity to the surface. In contrast, on gold colloid, we observe that the species prefers a monodentate coordination in which the aryl group is not in close proximity to the surface

    Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC): effects on light quality, microclimate, and growth of Orthosiphon stamineus in tropical climatic condition

    The main challenge facing greenhouse designers is to achieve environment-appropriate greenhouses, especially in tropical regions. The excess radiant energy transmitted into the greenhouse predisposes plants to photo-inhibition and consequently reduces crop production. Lately, photovoltaic (PV) modules are equipped as a greenhouse rooftop to minimize the level of irradiation and air temperature in the greenhouse, simultaneously improving its energy consumption. Nevertheless, due to the low level of irradiation, denser conventional PV internal shading would influence the cultivated crops’ growth. Thus, Dye Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) possesses several attractive features such as transparent, sensitive to low light levels, and various color options that render DSSC a perfect choice able to serve substantially in energy buildings. This study assessed the microclimate conditions inside the greenhouse with semi-transparent DSSC mounted on top of it, describing the Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density (PPFD) (µmol m−2 s−1), Vapor Pressure Deficit VPD (kPa), relative humidity (%), and also temperature (°C). The Overall Thermal Transfer Value (OTTV), which indicates the average thermal energy transmission rate across the external layer of a structure envelope, is also presented. The effects of colored DSSC in altering the spectral of sunlight in reference to the Orthosiphon stamineus growth responses were determined. The information of the condition of DSSC greenhouse microclimate helps to identify the information for designing PV greenhouses and to produce income from both electric power and agronomic activity
