Does human education integrate full-time education? What pedagogical practices tell us?

Essa materialização indica a potência de recriação do trabalho pedagógico como ato responsável para o reconhecimento das crianças como autoras de seu processo de aprendizagem.39108177192The article discusses how human education can integrate full-time education in contexts of resistance to school structure in which split time and spaces promote the reproduction of dehumanizing relationships. Using a qualitative approach, the topic is contextualized politically and conceptually. Furthermore, there is a narrative record of literacy experience in a public school in order to reflect on how ethical and aesthetic dimensions can be materialized in fulltime education. This materialization indicates the power of re-creation of pedagogical practice as a responsible act for the recognition of children as authors in their own learning process

Targeting cancer cells overexpressing folate receptors with new terpolymer-based nanocapsules: Toward a novel targeted dna delivery system for cancer therapy

Chemotherapeutics represent the standard treatment for a wide range of cancers. However, these agents also affect healthy cells, thus leading to severe off-target effects. Given the non-selectivity of the commonly used drugs, any increase in the selective tumor tissue uptake would represent a significant improvement in cancer therapy. Recently, the use of gene therapy to completely remove the lesion and avoid the toxicity of chemotherapeutics has become a tendency in oncotherapy. Ideally, the genetic material must be safely transferred from the site of administration to the target cells, without involving healthy tissues. This can be achieved by encapsulating genes into non-viral carriers and modifying their surface with ligands with high selectivity and affinity for a relevant receptor on the target cells. Hence, in this work we evaluate the use of terpolymer-based nanocapsules for the targeted delivery of DNA toward cancer cells. The surface of the nanocapsules is decorated with folic acid to actively target the folate receptors overexpressed on a variety of cancer cells. The nanocapsules demonstrate a good ability of encapsulating and releasing DNA. Moreover, the presence of the targeting moieties on the surface of the nanocapsules favors cell uptake, opening up the possibility of more effective therapies

The Microchannel X-ray Telescope for the Gamma-Ray Burst mission SVOM

We present the Microchannel X-ray Telescope, a new light and compact focussing telescope that will be flying on the Sino-French SVOM mission dedicated to Gamma-Ray Burst science. The MXT design is based on the coupling of square pore micro-channel plates with a low noise pnCCD. MXT will provide an effective area of about 50 cmsq, and its point spread function is expected to be better than 3.7 arc min (FWHM) on axis. The estimated sensitivity is adequate to detect all the afterglows of the SVOM GRBs, and to localize them to better then 60 arc sec after five minutes of observation.Comment: 12 pages, 8 figures, to be published in SPIE Astronomical Telescopes + Instrumentation, Montreal, June 201

The interaction of alcohols of variable strength with the copper(i) borohydride complex (triphos)Cu(η1-BH4) results in a great variety of DHB complexes which encompass different mechanisms involving M–H and E–H bond (E = B, O) activation steps

Novel yttrium and zirconium catalysts featuring reduced Ar-BIANH2 ligands for olefin hydroamination (Ar-BIANH2 = bis-arylaminoacenaphthylene)

The novel class of bis-arylaminoacenaphthylenes (Ar-BIANH(2)) was employed for the preparation of zirconium and yttrium complexes to be used as catalysts for cyclohydroamination of a number of primary and secondary aminoalkenes. The complex [(2,6-iPr(2)C(6)H(3)-BIAN)Zr(NMe2)(2)(eta(1)-NHMe2)] was isolated and completely characterized, including X-ray diffraction analysis. Despite its easy and almost quantitative isolation, it showed only moderate catalytic performance in the intramolecular hydroamination, irrespective of the cyclization precursor used. On the other hand, in situ generated Y-III complexes obtained using the same class of ligands were found to be very active, leading to the hydroamination of substrates including those normally reluctant in undergoing cyclization such as those featuring an internal non-activated C=C double bond. Electron donating substituents and especially steric hindrance on the ligand improve the performance of the catalysts, allowing us to decrease the catalyst loading to 1 mol% in the latter case
