Offsets the Queensland Way Development of the Queensland Government Environmental Offsets Policy

The Queensland Government Environmental Offsets Policy provides an overarching framework for environmental offsets in Queensland. The policy provides a consistent and transparent approach to the use of offsets. It contains principles and guidelines for developing and applying more detailed ‘specific-issue’ policies for offsetting important environmental values such as vegetation or fish habitats. Currently, offsets use in Queensland can be characterised as a compliance mechanism as they are required to meet development conditions. Developers will face higher costs if they need an offset and this provides a greater incentive to avoid and minimise impacts on areas with significant environmental values. Electron and Light Microscope Studies of Endamoeba terrapinae

This study was restricted to the trophozoite stage of Endamoeba terrapinae. The most striking feature found was lack of cellular components such as are found in Amoeba proteus and the giant amoeba. No structures resembling mitochondria, Golgi bodies, or fat globules were observed. The introduction describes the general characteristics of the milling technology and an overview of the assortment of the semi-roughing milling tools. The main part focuses on the dimension features and description of the functional tests of this tool. Furthermore, it describes the cutting features and behavior at the given cutting conditions of machining. Possibility of determination of rheological properties of fresh concrete by penetration needle

Práce se věnuje metodě stanovení reologických vlastností čerstvého betonu pomocí penetrační jehly. V práci je provedeno zhodnocení současných metod používaných z pohlednu platných technických norem pro stanovení reologických vlastností čerstvého betonu a srovnání těchto metod s metodou penetrační jehly. Tato metoda se vyznačuje svojí jednoduchostí a nízkou náročností na měřící techniku, proto může být využívána bezproblémově in-situ přímo na stavbě.This thesis focuses on the method of determining the rheological properties of fresh concrete with a penetration needle. An assessment conducted in this thesis aims at current methods of determining the rheological properties of fresh concrete in terms of theapplicable technical standards. These methods are compared with the needle penetration method. This method is characterized with it's simplicity and low requirements for measurement rechniques. Therefore it can be used directly on site without any problems.
