Love, Joy, and Intimacy:: One Family's Response to 550 Days of Lockdown
Two parents and their middle school aged child reflect back on 550 days of COVID-19 lockdown. Using a Poem in 3 Voices platform, each of them respond in conversation-style about their love of each other, their love of learning, and the joy and healing they found in common everyday things like reading, writing, cooking, music, and gardening. Their playful banter seeks to speak to the intimacy they intentionally built with each other during the pain of the pandemic and their unspeakable losses. The purpose of this aesthetic work is to illuminate that not all of lockdown was despair and that, in the midst of pain, there can also be moments of love, joy, and intimacy

The outcomes of psychotherapy in mixed features personality disorders: a systematic review
Mixed features personality disorders (PDs) are highly prevalent and associated with significant burden of disease. Despite that, it has been an overlooked diagnostic category with respect to clinical research. This study aims to review empirical evidence about psychotherapy delivery available for these patients. We present a systematic review of clinical trials investigating the outcomes of psychotherapeutic interventions in adults with a primary diagnosis of mixed features PDs. Data were obtained from Medline/PubMed, Embase and PsycINFO. Seven studies met inclusion criteria; in one of them the whole sample was of this diagnostic group; two studies analysed psychotherapeutic intervention outcomes in this population, among other types of PDs, yet drawing specific conclusions on mixed features PDs patients; remaining studies addressed patient samples with different PDs types, mixed features included, where specific findings in this group of patients were not described – nonetheless, they included representative numbers of subjects with the diagnosis of interest. Available studies suggest that mixed features personality pathology per se does not seem to be an impediment to benefit from psychotherapeutic treatment, and improvement in different areas of life is possible for patients undergoing psychotherapy. The extant literature is marked by multiple challenges and inconsistencies across studies
Stages for Undertaking a Systematic Review

More than just emphasizing scientific knowledge, it is nowadays expected that it incorporates clinical reasoning, practical skills, and stimulates the development of character, compassion, and integrity. a systematic review and meta-analysis
Publisher Copyright: Copyright © 2024 Moniz, Pereira, Soares, Aguiar, Donato and Leite. Objectives: This study aimed to systematically appraise risk factors associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection in high-income countries during the period of predominance of the Alpha variant (January 2020 to April 2021). Methods: Four electronic databases were used to search observational studies. Literature search, study screening, data extraction and quality assessment were conducted by two authors independently. Meta-analyses were conducted for each risk factor, when appropriate. Results: From 12,094 studies, 27 were included. The larger sample size was 17,288,532 participants, more women were included, and the age range was 18–117 years old. Meta-analyses identified men [Odds Ratio (OR): 1.23, 95% Confidence Interval (CI): 1.97–1.42], non-white ethnicity (OR: 1.63, 95% CI: 1.39–1.91), household number (OR: 1.08, 95% CI: 1.06–1.10), diabetes (OR: 1.22, 95% CI: 1.08–1.37), cancer (OR: 0.82, 95% CI: 0.68–0.98), cardiovascular diseases (OR: 0.92, 95% CI: 0.84–1.00), asthma (OR: 0.83, 95% CI: 0.75–0.92) and ischemic heart disease (OR: 0.82, 95% CI: 0.74–0.91) as associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection. Conclusion: This study indicated several risk factors for SARS-CoV-2 infection. Due to the heterogeneity of the studies included, more studies are needed to understand the factors that increase the risk for SARS-CoV-2 infection.
