ABSTRACTPerang Bangkat Ceremony is one proof of the diversity of cultures in Banyuwangi. Thiscustom is held at a bride and groom event at the Osing tribe, but not all weddinggatherings use the Perang Bangkat Ceremony. Perang Bangkat is used when the brideis the eldest and youngest child in her family.The Osing people believe that if the eldestchild marries the youngest child, then in his household there will be many problems ortemptations that occur. This is where the osing community feels it is necessary to do thePerang Bangkat in the event of a wedding gathering which is intended to keep theobstacles or obstacles in the household that will be lived by the bride and groom. Withthe above conditions it can be known at this time that very few people understand theJavanese language spoken at the traditional ceremony of the Perang Bangkat. So thatin determining the respondents the author uses the snowball method. The data collectionused the method of observation, interviews and documentation. From the explanationabove, the writer would like to examine further the meaning contained in the BangkatCustomary Ceremony as an effort to increase knowledge about Javanese language andcultural heritage which are intended to increase love and care for the BangkatCustomary Customs in the modernization era. A TOUCH OF LOCAL WISDOM: THE STUDENTS’ VOICE

This research aims at designing local culture based digital comics for eighth year students of SMP Negeri 1 Kalipuro, Banyuwangi, East Java, Indonesia.  These are designed based on the English syllabus of reading skill and are developed in order to improve the students’ reading comprehension skill, especially in comprehending narrative texts. Also, it aims at preserving local wisdoms of Banyuwangi through English language teaching. The research and development steps comprise some steps adapted from the pattern developed by Borg and Gall. The researchers administered need analysis to 35 students in class VIII.1 in order to gather information dealing with the materials and media in English language teaching and the need on local culture based digital comics. The data was taken from questionnaire, interview, and document analysis. The results of need analysis reveal that the students need to be taught narrative texts with local culture content and a suitable interesting media in the form of digital comics.Keywords: local wisdom, need analysis, comics, reading

KECAMATAN BLIMBINGSARI DAN KECAMATAN BANGOREJO DALAM SUDUT PANDANG ILMU TOPONOMI DI WILAYAH KABUPATEN BANYUWANGI

Banyuwangi Regency has a relatively unique area because it consists of coastalareas, plains and mountains. The population has ethnic diversity namely Osing(indigenous ethnic Banyuwangi), Javanese, Madurese, Bugis and Balinese. Thisis an indication of naming a place that has its own characteristics. Blimbingsarisub-district and Bangorejo sub-district are part of Banyuwangi district whichhas historical origin from the time of the ancestors. The study was conductedwith descriptive methods carried out with the planned research phase is the firstphase of the topology study consisting of 24 sub-districts. Of the 24 sub-districts,2 sub-districts were taken, namely Blimbingsari and Bangorejo Districts. Datacollection was carried out by interviews conducted by 1 researcher accompaniedby 1 survey worker. Preserving Local Culture through Digital Comics

Digital environment offers teachers and students with a plethora of information and resources for learning. Nowadays, students who are mostly digital natives are used to utilizing technology in their daily life. This condition should make teachers as technology leaders responsible to provide a good learning environment where the students are involved in their own learning and that best suits to them in in a particular context. Therefore, this study aimed at developing local culture based digital comics for narrative reading comprehension and inserting local culture of Banyuwangi in English language teaching. This study followed the research and development design adapting the pattern developed by Borg and Gall. Based on the result of need analysis administered to students in class VIII of SMPN 1 Kalipuro, Banyuwangi, the product was developed by inserting local culture content into narrative texts in the form of digital comics. The digital comics had two titles: The Dance Competition and The Legend of Banyuwangi. The product was validated by the experts and tried out to the students. The result showed that the local culture based digital comics were applicable to be used in the teaching and learning narrative text reading comprehension

Organoleptik Dan Kadar Vitamin C Cincau Dengan Penambahan Sari Jeruk Dan Gula Pasir

Cincau merupakan salah satu minuman fungsional yang berasal dari bahan alami. Daun cincau perdu mengandung berbagai vitamin, antara lain vitamin A, vitamin B, dan vitamin C. Beberapa jenis mineral ada dalam daun cincau perdu, antara lain kalsium, fosfor, besi, magnesium dan beberapa mineral yang lain. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kandungan vitamin C dan uji organoleptik cincau perdu dengan penambahan ekstrak jeruk dan gula pasir dengan dosis yang berbeda. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dan menggunakan dua faktorial yaitu sari jeruk dan gula pasir dengan jumlah 9 perlakuan dengan konsentrasi sari jeruk 140 ml, 120 ml dan 100 ml dan gula pasir 40 g, 50 g dan 60 g. Analisis data menggunakan Two Way Anova dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut Post Hoct test dengan metode LSD. Kadar vitamin C tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan J3G1 dengan kadar vitamin C sebesar 10,648 mg. Hasil Organoleptik terbaik pada cincau perlakuan J1G3 karena mempunyai warna hijau tua, kurang beraroma jeruk, rasa manis dan teksturnya agak kenyal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi dosis sari jeruk yang ditambahkan, maka semakin tinggi pula kadar vitamin C, sedangkan semakin tinggi dosis gula pasir yang ditambahkan, maka semakin rendah kadar vitamin C

PELATIHAN PENANGGULANGAN DAN PENCEGAHAN HIV /AIDS

HIV-AIDS in East Java is in a stage of concern with the development oftransmission. From 1989 to September 2016, PLHIV in East Java were 54,275people. Of these, those with HIV reached 36,881. While those convicted of AIDSwere 17,394 people and in 2017 reached 118,426 inhabitants. In Banyuwangi,the Banyuwangi Regency AIDS Commission, currently there are 3,260 HIVsufferers in Banyuwangi, 999 cases of AIDS sufferers, and 315 of them dead.Community service on HIV-AIDS prevention and prevention training was carriedout at the Teacher Training and Education Faculty of the PGRI BanyuwangiUniversity in October 2017. In this activity the service team trained students inovercoming and preventing HIV / AIDS. Ider village and the salvation of the earth has significance for the villagers Rejosari. Some of them are as repellent reinforcements and pagebluk. Grado de hiperplasia prostática benigna como factor de riesgo asociado a complicaciones post prostatectomía transvesical

Determinar si el grado de Hiperplasia prostática benigna es un factor de riesgo asociado a complicaciones post prostatectomía transvesical en el Hospital Belén de Trujillo en los meses Enero- Diciembre del 2012 Material y Métodos: Se llevó a cabo un estudio de tipo observacional, analítico, retrospectivo de casos y controles anidados a una cohorte. La población de estudio estuvo constituida por 129 pacientes post prostatectomía transvesical según los criterios de inclusión y exclusión establecidos en el estudio en el Hospital Belén de Trujillo periodo Enero – Diciembre 2012. Resultados: Se evaluaron un total de 129 pacientes, de los cuales 43 pertenecieron al grupo de los casos y 86 a los controles. La edad promedio de la serie fue de 71. 3± 9 años (rango 50 a 90 años), en los casos fue de 71.44 ± 9.14 años (rango de 51 a 89 años) y para los controles fue de 71.16 ± 8.86 años (rango de 52 a 90 años).To determine whether the degree of benign prostatic hypertrophy is a risk factor associated with immediate complications after transvesical prostatectomy in Bethlehem Hospital of Trujillo in the months from January to December 2012 Material and Methods: an observational, analytical, retrospective nested casecontrol cohort was performed . The study population consisted of 129 patients post prostatectomy transvesical according to the criteria of inclusion and exclusion in study Belen Hospital of Trujillo period January to December 2012. Results: A total of 129 patients , of which 43 belonged to the group of cases and 86 controls were evaluated. The average age of the series was 71 . 3 ± 9 years (range 50- 90 years) , in the cases was 71.44 ± 9.14 years (range 51-89 years) and for controls was 71.16 ± 8.86 years (range 52-90 years). When comparing the results of patients with grade III- IV of BPH (n = 73 ) with grade I- II BPH (n = 56 ) , we found that 32 patients with grade III- IV of HPB developed complications post- prostatectomy transvesical , while 41 of them not provided (74% vs 48 % , respectively, with a statistically significant difference p < 0.05 OR 3.19 , 95% CI 1.42 - 7.14 ) ( Table No. 1).Tesi

PENINGGALAN SEJARAH SEBAGAI SUMBER BELAJAR SEJARAH DALAM PENANAMAN NILAI-NILA KEBANGSAAN DI KECAMATAN MUNCAR KABUPATEN BANYUWANGI

Historical relics in both the Royal Age and Colonialism Period, it is necessary to identify and document historical heritage. This becomes important so that it becomes the basis of concern for both the community itself and also from the Regional Government so that it can be used as input in the cultural heritage inventory. This research is to identify historical relics in Muncar sub-district in order to inventory and the results of the study are used as a foothold for stakeholders especially the cultural preservation and historical relics. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design that uses a phenomenological perspective. The selection of respondents used snow ball, in which the sample in this study was the village and sub-district governments as well as cultural and historians in the muncar sub-district. With the results of the study showed that 1. Lack of public awareness to maintain historical heritage sites, 2. Still the role of government is needed to protect and preserve it through education and tourism, 3.
