A Process to Implement an Artificial Neural Network and Association Rules Techniques to Improve Asset Performance and Energy Efficiency

In this paper, we address the problem of asset performance monitoring, with the intention of both detecting any potential reliability problem and predicting any loss of energy consumption e ciency. This is an important concern for many industries and utilities with very intensive capitalization in very long-lasting assets. To overcome this problem, in this paper we propose an approach to combine an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) with Data Mining (DM) tools, specifically with Association Rule (AR) Mining. The combination of these two techniques can now be done using software which can handle large volumes of data (big data), but the process still needs to ensure that the required amount of data will be available during the assets’ life cycle and that its quality is acceptable. The combination of these two techniques in the proposed sequence di ers from previous works found in the literature, giving researchers new options to face the problem. Practical implementation of the proposed approach may lead to novel predictive maintenance models (emerging predictive analytics) that may detect with unprecedented precision any asset’s lack of performance and help manage assets’ O&M accordingly. Traces of the picaresque tradition in "The story of my teeth" of Valeria Luiselli

Las aportaciones que recoge el presente artículo sobre la evolución de la novela picaresca señalan que bajo dicha categoría no se incluye una serie de obras homogénea. Sin embargo, los criterios temporales y geográficos quizás resultan más precisos, pues se trata de uno de los legados más significativos de la tradición literaria española y se encuadra en el Siglo de Oro. A pesar de este marco delimitado, diversos autores llaman la atención sobre la recurrencia de elementos narrativos picarescos en la literatura de siglos posteriores tanto dentro como fuera de España. Así pues, tras presentar una panorámica sobre la tradición picaresca que engloba sus características definitorias en el contexto de sus orígenes, y también su trascendencia en el tiempo y en el espacio, se desarrolla un análisis de la novela "La historia de mis dientes" (2013) de la escritora mexicana Valeria Luiselli con el fin de examinar algunas características que evocan la narrativa áurea y prolongar, de este modo, las aportaciones que presentan diferentes autores acerca de la trascendencia del antiguo género hasta finales del siglo XX. El análisis se centra en el carácter autobiográfico de la novela, el peso que adquiere la genealogía del antihéroe en sus inclinaciones futuras y los constantes viajes que lleva a cabo a través de diferentes países para formarse como cantador de subastas. El estudio muestra, por tanto, una estructura tripartita con tres características vinculadas habitualmente con la tradición picaresca, como quedará de manifiesto a través de los marcos teóricos que acompañan el análisis.The contributions presented in this paper about the picaresque novel show that a homogeneous series of literary works is not included under this category. However, the temporal and geographic basis are perhaps more precise since it is one of the most important legacies of the Spanish literary tradition and part of the Golden Age. Despite this delimited context, several authors refer to the recurrence of picaresque narrative elements in the literature of later centuries, both inside and outside Spain. So, after presenting an overview of the picaresque tradition that includes its original defining characteristics and its significance in time and space, an analysis of the novel "The Story of my teeth" (2013), by the Mexican writer Valeria Luiselli, is developed in order to examine some characteristics that evoke the Golden Age narrative, and extend, in this way, the contributions presented by different authors about the significance of this old literary genre until the late 20th century. The analysis focuses on the autobiographical elements of the novel, the importance of the genealogy of the antihero in his future inclinations and the constant trips he makes through different countries to train as an auction caller. Therefore, the study presents a tripartite structure with three characteristics usually related to the picaresque tradition, as it will be revealed through the theoretical frameworks that accompany the analysis

La tradición literaria en La puerta entreabierta de Fernanda Kubbs: nuevas formas y resignificaciones del motivo del autómata

The following paper reviews the novel La puerta entreabierta by Fernanda Kubbs focusing fundamentally on the new version of the automaton figure which has many precursors throughout the literary and cultural history. However, the new automaton figure that Fernanda Kubbs proposes presents some particular characteristics that partially distance it from the literary tradition to which it belongs. It might be said that this is a pretext to introduce a set of intertextual and cultural references in the argument recalling some of the most relevant predecessors (like Frankenstein or the chess player of Wolfgang von Kempelen) with an aesthetic purpose, in other words, to create a narrative environment with historical echoes which invit the reader to recognise them.En el siguiente artículo se analiza la novela de Fernanda Kubbs La puerta entreabierta poniendo el foco principalmente en la nueva versión de la figura del autómata, que cuenta con diversos precursores a lo largo de la historia de la literatura y la cultura. No obstante, la versión renovada del autómata que propone la escritora presenta unas características particulares que lo alejan parcialmente de la tradición literaria en la que se inserta. Emotional intelligence as an influential factor of stress in Nursing. The emotions ́s power. Natarrive review

Trabajo fin de grado en EnfermeríaIntroducción: La inteligencia emocional (IE), por la que se perciben, asimilan, comprenden y regulan las emociones, puede actuar como amortiguador o disminuir el impacto del estrés laboral. El trabajo emocional de Enfermería puede desembocar en conductas no adaptativas como el estrés o Síndrome de Burnout, que cada vez afectan más a los profesionales enfermeros. Objetivo: analizar la bibliografía que establezca relación entre la inteligencia emocional del profesional y su influencia de forma directa o indirecta en su nivel de estrés. Para llegar a este objetivo general, se considera pertinente analizar la relación de las diferentes dimensiones de IE de Goleman (autoconciencia, autogestión, empatía y habilidades sociales), con alteraciones de la salud mental y el estrés laboral o burnout, o con la satisfacción y el bienestar. Metodología: Se realiza la búsqueda con lenguaje controlado en PsycInfo, Pubmed, Cinahl, IBECS, Cuiden y Enfispo, Dialnet y Scielo; además de filtros y palabras clave. Se limitan a menores de cinco años, inglés, italiano, español y portugués. Resultados y discusión: Se seleccionan 19 artículos: 18 cuantitativos y uno cualitativo. Diez secundan el objetivo general y nueve los específicos. Se verifica que la inteligencia emocional amortigüa el estrés laboral en las enfermeras, así como lo tiene la empatía, la motivación y las habilidades comunicativas. También se observa que estas relaciones son cíclicas y se retroalimentan entre sí. Conclusiones: En necesario el desarrollo de la inteligencia emocional en los profesionales enfermeros para obtener beneficios en los mismos, en productividad y calidad asistencial.Introduction: Emotional intelligence (EI), by which emotions are perceived, assimilated, understood and regulated, can act as a buffer or reduce the impact of work stress. Nurse´s emotional work can trigger non-adaptive behaviors such as labor stress or Burnout Syndrome, which increasingly affects nursing professionals. Objective: to analyze the bibliography that establishes the relationship between the professional´s emotional intelligence and their influence in a direct or indirect way on their level of stress. To reach this general objective, we must consider the relationship between the different dimensions of Goleman's EI (self-awareness, self-management, empathy and social skills), with alterations in mental health and work-related stress or burnout, or with satisfaction and wellness Methodology: PsiccInfo, Pubmed, Cinahl, IBECS, Cuiden and Enfispo, Dialnet and Scielo; besides filters and keywords. They are limited to children under five, English, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese. Results and discussion: 19 articles were selected: 18 quantitative and one qualitative. Ten support the general objective and nine the specific ones. Verify that emotional intelligence cushions work stress in nurses, as well as empathy, motivation and communication skills. It is also observed that these relationships are cyclical and feed each other. Discussion: General objective is supported by all the articles, except two of them, which shows the opposite. Este Trabajo Fin de Grado está relacionado con el área de conocimiento de las Matemáticas. El tema que se aborda es cómo la competencia matemática contribuye al desarrollo de las competencias básicas y, también, la utilidad y la presencia de las Matemáticas en la vida cotidiana. Para su desarrollo, se parte de la elaboración de una situación de aprendizaje real, contextualizada, que despierta el interés del alumnado y que promueve el aprendizaje significativo y por competencias, a través de una secuencia de actividades. Dicha situación consiste en que los/as propios/as alumnos/os organicen y planifiquen su viaje de fin de curso, según la propuesta planteada por el/la docente, en este caso, ir a un parque de atracciones.This final project is related to the field of Mathematics. Tipología de personajes en la literatura infantil y juvenil de Castilla y León: Carmen Martín Gaite, Gustavo Martín Garzo y Óscar Esquivias

La tesis analiza los arquetipos presentes en la obra infantil y juvenil de tres destacados narradores contemporáneos: Carmen Martín Gaite, Gustavo Martín Garzo y Oscar Esquivias. La elección está justificada por varias razones, una de las cuales es que coinciden en haber desarrollado una reconocida producción infantil y juvenil en paralelo a su obra adulta, algo bastante excepcional. Otros aspectos que tienen en común son su procedencia y una temática asociada con la fantasía, la magia y la reescritura de mitos y cuentos tradicionales. Este último aspecto se aprecia especialmente en Carmen Martín Gaite y Gustavo Martín Garzo, quienes presentan un complejo entramado de fuentes culturales que aluden a antiguos arquetipos y leyendas.
