Going to Far and Distant Spaces? A multimodal analysis of gender stereotypes through songs in Hercules and Moana
a hombres y mujeres.Walt Disney Company has become a great industry with influence all over the world due
to their intergenerational content. For this reason, stuyding the way in which their material
presents gender roles is essential. In this dissertation we will look at the representation of
a male and a female character in two Disney films, Hercules and Moana, through the
analysis of the main song that appears in each film. This analysis will be carried out
following the principles of Critical Discourse Analysis with regards to subects,
transitivity, modality and metapors. The final purpose is to see if the two characters in the
film stick or not to the roles that have been traditionally assigned to their gender.
The Stress Tests are conducted by national supervisors - in Spain’s case, the Bank of Spain -
and up to 31st December 2010 were also carried out by the Committee of European Banking
Supervisors (CEBS). These initiatives amount to mere simulations on paper about the capacity of
banks and savings banks to deal with a generalised slump in the economy and some of its consequences,
such as increased unemployment, credit default and devaluation of their investments
Margins, General Expenses and Efficiency of Spanish Cooperative Banks (2001–2010)Subtitle as needed
The objective of this study is to analyze and
evaluate the margins, general expenses and efficiency in the
sector of Spanish cooperatives banks during 2001–2010. This
study is based on an analytical development in the process of
change that occurred in the financial sector, specifically with
the deposits, during the mentioned period.
In this regard, it was found that the advantages that the
cooperatives banks had obtained in the past, which had made
them competitive, decreased during the current crisis. The
basic and ordinary spread of these institutions has been
overcome by the margins of commercial bank

Deconvoluting the biology and druggability of protein lipidation using chemical proteomics
Lipids are indispensable cellular building blocks, and their post-translational attachment to proteins makes them important regulators of many biological processes. Dysfunction of protein lipidation is also implicated in many pathological states, yet its systematic analysis presents significant challenges. Thanks to innovations in chemical proteomics, lipidation can now be readily studied by metabolic tagging using functionalized lipid analogs, enabling global profiling of lipidated substrates using mass spectrometry. This has spearheaded the first deconvolution of their full scope in a range of contexts, from cells to pathogens and multicellular organisms. Protein N-myristoylation, S-acylation, and S-prenylation are the most well-studied lipid post-translational modifications because of their extensive contribution to the regulation of diverse cellular processes. In this review, we focus on recent advances in the study of these post-translational modifications, with an emphasis on how novel mass spectrometry methods have elucidated their roles in fundamental biological processes
Potential Protective Role Exerted by Secoiridoids from Olea europaea L. in Cancer, Cardiovascular, Neurodegenerative, Aging-Related, and Immunoinflammatory Diseases
Iridoids, which have beneficial health properties, include a wide group of cyclopentane [c] pyran monoterpenoids present in plants and insects. The cleavage of the cyclopentane ring leads to secoiridoids. Mainly, secoiridoids have shown a variety of pharmacological effects including anti-diabetic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, immunosuppressive, neuroprotective, anti-cancer, and anti-obesity, which increase the interest of studying these types of bioactive compounds in depth. Secoiridoids are thoroughly distributed in several families of plants such as Oleaceae, Valerianaceae, Gentianaceae and Pedialaceae, among others. Specifically, Olea europaea L. (Oleaceae) is rich in oleuropein (OL), dimethyl-OL, and ligstroside secoiridoids, and their hydrolysis derivatives are mostly OL-aglycone, oleocanthal (OLE), oleacein (OLA), elenolate, oleoside-11-methyl ester, elenoic acid, hydroxytyrosol (HTy), and tyrosol (Ty). These compounds have proved their efficacy in the management of diabetes, cardiovascular and neurodegenerative disorders, cancer, and viral and microbial infections. Particularly, the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory properties of secoiridoids from the olive tree (Olea europaea L. (Oleaceae)) have been suggested as a potential application in a large number of inflammatory and reactive oxygen species (ROS)-mediated diseases. Thus, the purpose of this review is to summarize recent advances in the protective role of secoiridoids derived from the olive tree (preclinical studies and clinical trials) in diseases with an important pathogenic contribution of oxidative and peroxidative stress and damage, focusing on their plausible mechanisms of the action involved.España Ministerio de Economía y Competitivida
