The role of Dark Matter interaction in galaxy clusters

We consider a toy model to analyze the consequences of dark matter interaction with a dark energy background on the overall rotation of galaxy clusters and the misalignment between their dark matter and baryon distributions when compared to {\Lambda}CDM predictions. The interaction parameters are found via a genetic algorithm search. The results obtained suggest that interaction is a basic phenomenon whose effects are detectable even in simple models of galactic dynamics.Comment: RevTeX 4.1, 5 pages, 3 figure

Clinical usefulness of the electroencephalogram in acute stroke: a preliminary study

Introduction: Stroke is the main cause of disability worldwide, being the first cause of death in Portugal. In the first hours of the event, the cranioencephalic CT scan (CT Scan) does not show the lesion in about 74% of cases, making validation of alternative diagnostic approaches of utmost importance. The electroencephalogram (EEG) may provide useful information for the diagnosis and prognosis of stroke. Objective: To study the potential usefulness of the EEG for the early diagnosis of acute stroke in patients with initial negative CT Scan, and for the evaluation of the functional status and risk of epilepsy. Methods: Retrospective analysis of patients with ischemic stroke who underwent EEG and acute phase CT scan between January 2014 and February 2018. Patient characteristics and stroke were classified according to the Oxfordshire Community Stroke Project (OCSP) criteria. The patients were functionally evaluated at 12 months post-stroke by the modified Rankin Scale (mRS) and the existence of post-stroke epilepsy was determined by telephone interview on February 2018. Results: Thirty patients (25 females and 5 males, mean age 70.5 years) were included. According to the OCSP were identified: 40% TACS, 37% PACS, 10% LACS and 13% POCS. 50% with acute vascular injury visible on the initial CT Scan performed with 7 hours of evolution in median. All patients underwent EEG with a median of 3 days of evolution, and slow focal activity was observed in all patients, and focal paroxysmal activity (PA) was seen in 17% of the participants. 17 patients (58% of patients) developed post-stroke epilepsy (PSE) with 4 of these having PA evidence in the initial EEG (24%). One of the patients with PA in the initial EEG did not develop epilepsy during a 4 years follow-up period. In patients without PA, the average of mRs at follow-up was 3.8 and the mortality was 24%, whereas in patients with PA, the mean of the mRs was 5.0 and the mortality was 40%. Conclusion: In this study, unlike CT Scan, the acute-phase EEG presented with abnormal features in all patients with acute stroke, therefore the EEG may potentially provide significant diagnostic information, estimates of risk for developing future epilepsy and also overall risk stratification. AIDA-DB: a data management architecture for the edge and cloud continuum

There is an increasing demand for stateful edge computing for both complex Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) and application services in emerging 5G networks. Managing a mutable persistent state in the edge does however bring new architectural, performance, and dependability challenges. Not only it has to be integrated with existing cloud-based systems, but also cope with both operational and analytical workloads and be compatible with a variety of SQL and NoSQL database management systems. We address these challenges with AIDA-DB, a polyglot data management architecture for the edge and cloud continuum. Transvestites and transexual people in the context of education: a literature review

The article aimed to analyze the literature published in the format of scientific articles about the inclusion of transvestites and transsexual in the context of education in Brazil. We identified the descriptors "Education", “Transvestites" and "Transsexuals" in the Virtual Health Library (Dec’s BVS) and collected, in the Periódicos Capes plataform, 232 articles, of which 19 met the inclusion/exclusion criteria, which were analyzed descriptively by pairs, through a literature review protocol elaborated by the authors. As results, eight articles composed the final sample that discuss the inclusion of these subjects from two aspects: Transsexual/ transvestite students transsexual/transvestite teachers. It was noticed that the educational spaces, especially the school, are one of the most hostile spaces for those who break with the norms of gender, being not prepared (and even not being interested) in working the true inclusion of these people

Estupro no Brasil: vítimas, autores, fatores situacionais e evolução das notificações no sistema de saúde entre 2011 e 2014

Neste artigo analisou-se a evolução das notificações de estupro no país, entre 2011 e 2014, com base nos dados do Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação (Sinan), do Ministério da Saúde. Caracterizou-se ainda o fenômeno segundo esses registros administrativos. Especificamente descreveram-se o perfil de vítimas e autores, os vínculos entre eles, além de outros elementos situacionais. Verificou-se uma estabilidade estatística inaceitável ao longo do período analisado, em que 69,9% das vítimas eram crianças e menores de idade, e mais de 10,0% das pessoas agredidas sofriam de alguma deficiência física e/ou mental. Ao mesmo tempo, aumentou a proporção de casos de estupro coletivo que, em 2014, responderam por 15,8% do total de casos, e esta proporção correspondeu a 25,6% quando os autores eram desconhecidos da vítima. Outro dado estarrecedor mostrou que cerca de 40,0% dos estupradores das crianças pertenciam ao círculo familiar próximo, incluindo pai, padrasto, tio, irmão e avô. Os dados chamam a atenção para a gravidade do problema de violência de gênero no país e para a necessidade de se produzirem informações mais acuradas, de modo a possibilitar a elaboração de políticas públicas mitigadoras que envolvam as muitas agências do Estado, sobretudo no campo educacional

Efeito de uma competição escolar de futebol com jogos em dias consecutivos no estado de recuperação de jogadores sub-19

The present study aimed to evaluate the effect of a school soccer competition with consecutive day games on the recovery status of U-19 players. Thirty-one school athletes (17.1±1.1 years) who played a U-19 school soccer competition (composed of two groups of four soccer teams each, followed by semifinals and final) were randomly evaluated. Games lasted 70 min (two periods of 35 min with 15 min rest interval), and they were played on consecutive days with 24 h between each game. Delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) and Total Quality Recovery (TQR) were measured before group phase games (n= 31) and semifinals games (n= 18). The internal game load was measured by the session rate of perceived exertion (session-RPE) method. TQR was higher before the first game when compared to the other games (p 0.05). The monotony observed during the evaluated period was 3.1±2.0 AU. The results indicate that the 24 h rest period seems to be insufficient for complete recovery of U-19 soccer school athletes, suggesting the organization of U-19 school soccer competitions with higher rest interval between games and search for methods to increase the recovery rate.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

LEVANTAMENTO E ANÁLISE DOS CUSTOS MÉDIOS DE PRODUÇÃO DE BOVINOS DE CORTE NO MUNICÍPIO DE CURVELO, MINAS GERAIS

Como medida para se aumentar a margem de lucro na pecuária, é preciso antes, que se tenha o valor de quanto custa produzir uma @ na propriedade e baseando-se neste dado, definir estratégias que venham aumentar a rentabilidade da atividade. Objetivou-se com este trabalho determinar os custos médios de produção na pecuária de corte no ano de 2006 que representaram a realidade do município de Curvelo. Os dados foram coletados com base na contabilidade e escrituração zootécnica de três fazendas, as quais desenvolvem a atividade de cria. Os itens que tiveram maior participação no custo foram, folha de pagamento (36,38%), suplementos minerais e protéicos (21,56%) e pró-labore (12%). Vacinas, vermífugos e remédios, 4,25%, adubos e fertilizantes ,4,02%, lubrificantes e combustíveis, 4,37%. Manutenção de pastagens, de máquinas e de instalações, juntas contribuíram com 4,97%. Os custos com veterinário, depreciação de máquinas e implementos, energia elétrica, frete, telefone e outros somaram 12,43%. Como resultado final obteve-se um custo médio de produção da arroba de R$79,04. A explicação para o alto valor encontrado, foi a permanência na propriedade de animais desmamados da safra de 2005, aumentando assim os custos diretos com alimentação e manejo e não tendo um ganho proporcional em quantidade de arrobas. Assim sendo, a determinação e o monitoramento dos custos de produção na pecuária de corte são de fundamental importância para se ter a real noção de como anda a saúde financeira da fazenda.-----------------------------------------------As measured to increase the edge of profit in the cattle one, is necessary before, that if it has the value of how much cost to produce one @ in the property and being based on this data, to define strategies that come to increase the yield of the activity.
