Since the wind speed fluctuation could cause large instability in wind energy systems it is crucial to develop a method for precise estimation of the wind speed fluctuation. Fractal interpolation of the wind speed could be used to improve the accuracy of the estimation of the wind speed fluctuation. Based on the self-similarity feature, the fractal interpolation could be established from internal to external interval. In this article fractal interpolation was used to improve the wind speed fluctuation estimation by soft computing methods. Artificial neural network (ANN) with different training algorithms were used in order to estimate the wind speed fluctuation based on the fractal interpolationThis is the peer-reviewed version of the article: Petković, D., Nikolić, V., Mitić, V.V., Kocić, L., 2017. Passively compliant underactuated mechanisms are one way to obtain the finger which could accommodate to any irregular shaped and sensitive grasping object. The purpose of the underactuation is to use the power of one actuator to drive the open and close motion of the gripper. The fully compliant mechanism has multiple degrees of freedom and can be considered as an underactuated mechanism. This paper presents design of the adaptive underactuated compliant multi-fingered gripper with distributed compliance. The optimal topology of the finger structure was obtained by an iterative optimization procedure. It was proven that for real robotic applications multi-fingered grippers with three or more fingers were more suitable for stable and safe grasping.

Wheat is, in quantity, the third largest crop produced in the world and therefore contributes greatly to the world economy both globally and in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina-B & H. With wheat, worldwide it is sowing about 2.20 million ha annually and in Republic of Serbia wheat cultivated in 588.820 ha. The present trial was carried out to study the growth rates of yield, production and market of wheat in B & H. During the period 2010-2016, wheat was sown of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 63606.30 ha. There is trend in increasing of areas under wheat with a rate of 0.99% per year and, it varies. Average yield of wheat during the monitored period was 3.58 t ha-1. Average export of wheat in the tested period was 41750 t and had a tendency to increase with a rate of 25.67% and variation (CV = 104.41%) while average import of wheat was 398750 t and had a tendency to increase with a rate of 0.82% and variation (CV = 10.37%). The highest import was achieved in 2016 (398750 t) and the lowest in 2013. External trade of agro-industrial products and trade liberalization implies the necessity of raising the technological level of production, productivity, efficiency and application of marketing management

ADAPTIVE NEURO-FUZZY COMPUTING TECHNIQUE FOR PRECIPITATION ESTIMATION

    Get PDF
The paper investigates the accuracy of an adaptive neuro-fuzzy computing technique in precipitation estimation. The monthly precipitation data from 29 synoptic stations in Serbia during 1946-2012 are used as case studies. Even though a number of mathematical functions have been proposed for modeling the precipitation estimation, these models still suffer from the disadvantages such as their being very demanding in terms of calculation time. Artificial neural network (ANN) can be used as an alternative to the analytical approach since it offers advantages such as no required knowledge of internal system parameters, compact solution for multi-variable problems and fast calculation. Due to its being a crucial problem, this paper presents a process constructed so as to simulate precipitation with an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference (ANFIS) method. ANFIS is a specific type of the ANN family and shows very good learning and prediction capabilities, which makes it an efficient tool for dealing with encountered uncertainties in any system such as precipitation. Neural network in ANFIS adjusts parameters of membership function in the fuzzy logic of the fuzzy inference system (FIS). This intelligent algorithm is implemented using Matlab/Simulink and the performances are investigated.  The simulation results presented in this paper show the effectiveness of the developed method

DFCL: DYNAMIC FUZZY LOGIC CONTROLLER FOR INTRUSION DETECTION

    Get PDF
Intrusions are a problem with the deployment of Networks which give misuse and abnormal behavior in running reliable network operations and services. In this work, a Dynamic Fuzzy Logic Controller (DFLC) is proposed for an anomaly detection problem, with the aim of solving the problem of attack detection rate and faster response process. Data is collected by PingER project. PingER project actively measures the worldwide Internet’s end-to-end performance. It covers over 168 countries around the world. PingER uses simple ubiquitous Internet Ping facility to calculate number of useful performance parameters. From each set of 10 pings between a monitoring host and a remote host, the features being calculated include Minimum Round Trip Time (RTT), Jitter, Packet loss, Mean Opinion Score (MOS), Directness of Connection (Alpha), Throughput, ping unpredictability and ping reachability. A set of 10 pings is being sent from the monitoring node to the remote node every 30 minutes. The received data shows the current characteristic and behavior of the networks. Any changes in the received data signify the existence of potential threat or abnormal behavior. D-FLC uses the combination of parameters as an input to detect the existence of any abnormal behavior of the network. The proposed system is simulated in Matlab Simulink environment. Simulations results show that the system managed to catch 95% of the anomalies with the ability to distinguish normal and abnormal behavior of the network
