Investigación pesquera: perspectiva actual, tensiones y aspectos emergentes. El futuro y su aproximación

[EN] The current development of fishery research can be considered as much a technical development as a scientific-conceptual one. In relation to the technical development we analyse the evolution of the concepts fishing effort and fishing power, as well as vulnerability, availability and accessibility. In the conceptual analysis of the basic parameters we consider new contributions with regards to recruitment and evolution of populations based on concepts such as the system’s carrying capacity and the effect of inverse density dependence. The impact of the available space is analysed as well as the effect of the prey-predator relationship in the context of the flows between the different levels in the trophic web. We point out that fishery analysis strategies need to consider that, from both the biological and socio-economic points of view, the system is never balanced but rather is at the very limit or even over the limit. On the whole, fishing (human action on the resource) can be understood within the context of the ecosystem. This situation implies introducing the concept of uncertainty. Aspects such as ecosystem elasticity are analysed in their broadest sense. In these terms, recovery of an ecosystem and of Large Marine Ecosystems (LME) is still possible, but the result can be different due to the appearance of opportunistic species. Some concepts such as fuzzy sets, and chaos and fractal analysis are important tools for analysing the evolution and management of ecosystems exploited by fisheries[ES] El desarrollo actual de la ciencia de las pesquerías es considerado tanto como desarrollo técnico como desarrollo científico-conceptual. En el primer aspecto se analiza la evolución de los conceptos: esfuerzo de pesca y poder de pesca. Así como la vulnerabilidad disponibilidad y accesibilidad. Se considera el análisis conceptual de los parámetros básicos con nuevas aportaciones sobre el reclutamiento y la evolución de las poblaciones a partir de conceptos como la capacidad de carga del sistema y el efecto de la densodependencia inversa. Se analiza el impacto del espacio disponible así como el efecto de la relación presa-depredador en el contexto de los flujos entre los diversos niveles de la relación trófica. La estrategia se sitúa considerando que tanto desde el punto de vista biológico como socieconómico el sistema no está nunca en equilibrio sino en el límite o fuera del mismo. En conjunto la pesca –acción del hombre sobre el recurso– se sitúa en el contexto del ecosistema. Esta situación implica introducir situaciones de incertidumbre. Se analizan aspectos como la elasticidad de los ecosistemas en su aspecto amplio. En estos términos la recomposición de un ecosistema y también de Large Marine Ecosystems (LME) es posible, pero el resultado puede ser diferente –aparición de especies oportunistas. El estudio de estas monedas y su dispersión geográfica deben ayudar a una mejor comprensión del sistema social del minero, de la movilidad de estos individuos, del estatus legal o real de ellos y de la complejidad organizativa de las explotaciones estatales, o compañías mineras en Hispania, amén de una constatación más de la existencia de moneda especifica crea& o reformada para ámbitos sociales específicos'. Entre estos ámbitos específicos, amén de la minería, deben citarse las explotaciones agrícolas que, a juzgar por algunos materiales que aquí recojo, se organizaron probablemente de forma similar a las mineras. Las téseras y precintos agrícolas que presento ahora no son sino los recortes sobrantes de mi trabajo sobre moneda minera, que vengo haciendo desde hace años. Enchi Fumiko : an examination of political aspects in Enchi Fumiko's works

Writer Enchi Fumiko (1905-1986) is one of the most successful female writer in modem Japan. Having survived major surgical procedures and the Second World War, she subsequently made a late debut as a novelist. In her later years she received many literary awards and eventually, in 1985 was awarded Bunka Kunsho (the Order of Cultural Merit). Among various topics in her works, many critics have recognised her predominant themes of feminine psychology and sexuality. They, however, tend to neglect her political aspects and are reluctant to regard her as either a political or a feminist writer. Regarding feminist themes that Enchi deals with, there is a new perspective that writing about women themselves is political. On the basis of this theory, a re-examination is claimed for Enchi's works. Enchi actually depicts many accurate historical events and also deals with gender issues in the same context. En chi's fundamental challenges to Japanese politics are certainly viewed in her works. She dealt with political issues raised in the period mostly earlier than scholars and her intention to deal with them is praiseworthy. This review of Enchi's works will lead to a new interpretation

UNILAC Upgrades for Coulomb Barrier Energy Experiments

The GSI linear accelerator UNILAC provides heavy ion beams at Coulomb barrier energies for search and study of super heavy elements. Typical cross-sections of 55 fb require beam doses of 1.4·10¹⁹ according to a beam time of 117 days. Several upgrades will reduce the beam time to only 16 days. A second injection branch with a 28GHz-MS-ECRIS anticipates a factor of 10 in particle intensity. By a new cw rfq-structure all accelerator tanks are suitable for a duty cycle of at least 50% instead of 25% presently. Due to this, thermal power increase of 19 rf-amplifiers eased by higher ion charge states of the ECRIS is necessary. Finally the UNILAC timing system controlling 50Hz pulse-to-pulse operation of up to six beams differing in ion species and energy has to be modified considering beam diagnostics electronics and pulsable magnets. The front end comprising ECRIS, rfq- and IH-structure is cw suitable and will serve as injector for a new future sc-cw-linac
