CONSUMERS OF THE WORLD EXCLAIM:"WE WANT SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, PUBLIC POLICY AND CORPORATE ETHICS!"

This study is related to public policy issues, such as the ethics of marketing practices and the dynamics of popular culture. Although textbooks often present the consumer as a rational decision maker, often harmful for consumer activities of the individual or society. Often, the consumer's worst enemy is himself. Growth is still important, even morally required, if individuals and society towards improving the living standards of the peoples of the world. Socio-philosophical concept of social justice is an attribute that you should hold shares or individual therapy or groups in society, within the existing social order and moral or desirable. Values govern our actions and personality. Knowledge and understanding of business values gives the company the ability to control and manage in a sustainable manner, its future. Managers should sacrifice their own needs in favor of employee needs, and the last would have to give up their ambitions and needs, to eliminate customer sacrifice. Equality and freedom are two forms of the same fundamental values. Current marketing is a factor of democratization. Companies traded on the market, falling into one of two dichotomous situation: the mission and their action in the service of others, the community, its employees and the environment, or choose the dishonor, deceiving their confidence. Marketing itself is a subject of intense dispute. Today, competitiveness is the productivity growth in the use of resources. All forms of pollution are manifestations of economic waste. Companies that take a code of honor are reciving medals. Lack of Ethics is charged!marketing ethics, corporate social responsibility, consumer behavior, morality, role of marketing

REVENUES MANAGEMENT IN THE MARKETING OF SERVICES

In the evolution of pricing strategy, yield management gained a significant importance in the latest years. Revenue Management/Yield Management helps businesses selling services at the right time, to the right customer, at the right price. Revenue management can be applied to all service businesses and especially to those in which lower price units have a shorter availability. This system allows companies to personalize the price so that the customer receives exactly what he has paid for. In developing yield management systems, it is important that customer retention be included in the model. Maximizing revenue today has little value if this leads to customers switching to another company. Revenue management is becoming used more and more in the Romanian economy.strategic pricing, revenues management, price personalization

Boundary Controllability and Observability of a Viscoelastic String

In this paper we consider an integrodifferential system, which governs the vibration of a viscoelastic one-dimensional object. We assume that we can act on the system at the boundary and we prove that it is possible to control both the position and the velocity at every point of the body and at a certain time T T , large enough. We shall prove this result using moment theory and we shall prove that the solution of this problem leads to identify a Riesz sequence which solves controllability and observability. So, the result as presented here are constructive and can lead to simple numerical algorithms

Global Carleman inequalities for parabolic systems and applications to controllability

    Get PDF
This paper has been conceived as an overview on the controllability properties of some relevant (linear and nonlinear) parabolic systems. Specifically, we deal with the null controllability and the exact controllability to the trajectories. We try to explain the role played by the observability inequalities in this context and the need of global Carleman estimates. We also recall the main ideas used to overcome the difficulties motivated by nonlinearities. First, we considered the classical heat equation with Dirichlet conditions and distributed controls. Then we analyze recent extensions to other linear and semilinear parabolic systems and/or boundary controls. Finally, we review the controllability properties for the Stokes and Navier–Stokes equations that are known to date. In this context, we have paid special attention to obtaining the necessary Carleman estimates. Some open questions are mentioned throughout the paper. We hope that this unified presentation will be useful for those researchers interested in the field.Ministerio de Educación y Cienci

The Compositional Nature of Verb and Argument Representations in the Human Brain

How does the human brain represent simple compositions of objects, actors, and actions? We had subjects view action sequence videos during neuroimaging (fMRI) sessions and identified lexical descriptions of those videos by decoding (SVM) the brain representations based only on their fMRI activation patterns. As a precursor to this result, we had demonstrated that we could reliably and with high probability decode action labels corresponding to one of six action videos (dig, walk, etc.), again while subjects viewed the action sequence during scanning (fMRI). This result was replicated at two different brain imaging sites with common protocols but different subjects, showing common brain areas, including areas known for episodic memory (PHG, MTL, high level visual pathways, etc.,i.e. the 'what' and 'where' systems, and TPJ, i.e. 'theory of mind'). Given these results, we were also able to successfully show a key aspect of language compositionality based on simultaneous decoding of object class and actor identity. Finally, combining these novel steps in 'brain reading' allowed us to accurately estimate brain representations supporting compositional decoding of a complex event composed of an actor, a verb, a direction, and an object.Comment: 11 pages, 6 figure
