Práce si klade za cíl představit hlavní centra osídlení na východním i západním břehu thébské oblasti v ptolemaiovské a římské době (s přesahem do pozdějších období, pokud je potřeba) a představit jejich vzhled, polohu a charakteristické znaky. Dále se práce snaží určit, jestli lze Théby v tomto období stále ještě považovat za město či zda skutečně došlo k prudkému úpadku města a jedná se již pouze o volný shluk sídel vesnického charakteru, jak se můžeme dočíst v dílech antických autorů. It further aims to determine if Thebes can still be considered a city at that time or if the city suffered a steep decline and it's nothing more than a loose cluster of rural type settlements, as can be read in works of classical authors. Osídlení a sídlištní struktura ptolemaiovských a římských Théb Tato práce si klade za cíl zabývat se polohou, určením, organizací a vývojem všech osídlení v thébské oblasti (na východním i západní břehu) v ptolemaiovské a římské době. Aktuální přehled dostupných archeologických a epigrafických dokladů, včetně informací obsažených v dílech antických autorů, o osídlení v thébské oblasti bude použit ke studiu rozmístění, vývoje a charakteristických znaků jednotlivých osad a k identifikaci a rozboru vzorců sídlištní struktury Théb v dané době.Settlements and settlement patterns in Ptolemaic and Roman Thebes The paper aims to focus on the location, designation, organisation and development of all settlements in the Theban region (East and West bank) in Ptolemaic and Roman times. Systematický průzkum středního povodí Surchandarji (jižní Uzbekistán): Lokalita Bajtepa IV, vybrané nálezy

In October 2021 a new terrain project of the Czech-Uzbekistani Archaeological Expedition was launched focusing on the settlement development and past landscape use of the middle Surkhan Darya basin (southern Uzbekistan). To investigate the hypothetical economic territory of the walled settlement of Khaytabad Tepa, a flexible methodological framework based on the approaches of intensive surface survey common in the Mediterranean and Europe was developed. This article aims to introduce the project, its goals and methodology and focuses in more detail on one particular area investigated during the pilot season – the area of Bay Tepa IV. The emphasis is laid on the identified artefact distribution and the former morphology of the site, captured on historical satellite imagery. Special emphasis is laid on a small assemblage of three terracotta figurines discovered during the surface survey. The gathered evidence points to a great potential of both the research area and the employed methods. As for Bay Tepa IV, a new dating of the site is proposed, putting its foundation to the Early Iron Age
