La libertad sexual es uno de los iconos del 68. Los acontecimientos de ese año en relación con la liberación de la mujer condujeron a la lucha por el derecho a la anticoncepción y al aborto. El objeto de este trabajo es el derecho al aborto como un derecho nacido al amparo de la libertad sexual y su reivindicación como un derecho a reconocer en las legislaciones positivas. El embrión in vitro como fuente de células troncales: análisis jurídico-crítico

Al confrontar las correspondiente legislaciones, se advierte una ruptura entre la LTRA de 1988 y el espíritu y doctrina del Tribunal Constitucional español. Así se muestra en la primera a propósito de la diferente valoración jurídica de las fases de preembrión, embrión y feto, la imprecisión del concepto de viabilidad y la identificación entre gametos y embrión en determinados supuestos. Frente a ello, la protección legal ha de ser la misma en cualquier fase del desarrollo del viviente, y se ha de evitar que las otras lagunas legislativas conduzcan a una eugenesia discriminatoria carente e justificación

Adaptaciones visuales y táctiles en teclados de ordenador: una opción para usuarios con deficiencia visual

La autora, Técnico de Rehabilitación de la ONCE, propone algunas soluciones prácticas para la adaptación del teclado de ordenador a las necesidades de los usuarios con discapacidad visual. Esta intervención surge de la demanda de los propios usuarios, y se plantea como actividad alternativa, dirigida tanto a profesionales como a familiares y colaboradores. Se expone detalladamente la preparación de las adaptaciones visuales, mediante fijación de etiquetas con grandes caracteres, y las táctiles, con marcajes táctiles, en braille o híbridos. Se relacionan fuentes de información en Internet, así como vías de adquisición de los materiales necesarios

Trastornos del sueño en la enfermedad de Parkinson y otros trastornos del movimiento

Neurodegenerative processes with movement disorders is predominant features show a high incidence of sleep alterations at some point in their evolution. The degeneration of structures responsible for maintaining the sleep-wakefulness cycles and the architecture of sleep could be at their root. Other factors like the drugs employed in the treatment of motor problems, the limitations to movement, etc., aggravate the problem. Although, at present, there is no medical therapy able to restore the defects derived from the degeneration of the key structures of sleep, an individual analysis of the coadyuvant factors in each patient could help to improve these problems. Personal protective strategies for dengue disease: simulations in two coexisting virus serotypes scenarios

Dengue fever is a common mosquito-borne viral infectious disease in the world and is widely spread, especially in tropical and subtropical regions. At this moment, one of the best ways to fight the disease is to prevent mosquito bites. In this study, we present a mathematical model that carefully considers personal protection for humans. It is an epidemiological model that translates the dengue disease through a system of differential ordinary equations which takes in consideration the dynamics of the disease between human and mosquito populations. This model incorporates a parameter that simulates personal protection measures, namely insect repellent, special clothes, or bed nets, and a parameter that asserts the effectiveness of public awareness to the importance of using personal protective equipment. In 2012 there was a dengue disease outbreak in Madeira Island, in Portugal, and this study not only tries to predict what could happen if a second outbreak occurs, where it is considered that there are two serotypes of Dengue disease, but also tries to predict the effects and the importance of taking personal protection measures. The results show that the level of personal measures and the time that people are compelled to use them have a significant impact to prevent dengue disease.publishe

Symmetric Differentiation on Time Scales

We define a symmetric derivative on an arbitrary nonempty closed subset of the real numbers and derive some of its properties.
