Short- and long-term population and project implicacions of high-speed rail for served cities: analysis of all served Spanish cities and re-evaluation of Ciudad Real and Puertollano

[EN] Economic growth theories indicate that infrastructures are necessary but not enough for economic growth, providing the cities they serve with new comparative advantages. Today, 25 years after the first high-speed rail (HSR) services opened in Spain and after a complete economic cycle with the longest-running European HSR network, this network can be treated as a territorial laboratory for testing the relationship between new transport infrastructures and population growth. This article compares the population evolution of each HSR city with those of Spain overall, non-HSR municipalities, a random sample of non-HSR cities and similar non-HSR cities. This article also re-evaluates the implications for two small cities served by the first HSR line by means of analyses similar to those undertaken 10¿15 years ago to evaluate both the long-term implications and those that are less permanent and have either changed or disappeared. These analyses show that population growth depends on each city¿s degree of transportation changes, the time elapsed, and the location and size of the city. Este modesto libro trata de ser una aportación al conocimiento del Norte de Jalisco, región casi ignorada a nivel nacional- e incluso regional- pero que encierra en potencia recursos naturales y humanos, con los cuales se puede lograr en el futuro un mayor desarrollo. Surgical approach for cardiac surgery in a patient with tracheostoma

The thoracic approach for cardiac surgery in a patient with a tracheostoma can result in difficult problems, such as mediastinitis, stoma necrosis or inadequate operative exposure. We present a distinct approach consisting of an incision at the second intercostal space, transverse sternum transection and longitudinal median sternotomy to the xiphoid process, performed for coronary artery bypass grafting and aortic valve replacement, in a patient with previous tracheotomy. This approach permitted adequate surgical exposure for cardiopulmonary bypass, aortic valve replacement and coronary revascularization procedures

A FPGA Spike-Based Robot Controlled with Neuro-inspired VITE

This paper presents a spike-based control system applied to a fixed robotic platform. Our aim is to take a step forward to a future complete spikes processing architecture, from vision to direct motor actuation. This paper covers the processing and actuation layer over an anthropomorphic robot. In this way, the processing layer uses the neuro-inspired VITE algorithm, for reaching a target, based on PFM taking advantage of spike system information: its frequency. Thus, all the blocks of the system are based on spikes. Each layer is implemented within a FPGA board and spikes communication is codified under the AER protocol. The results show an accurate behavior of the robotic platform with 6-bit resolution for a 130º range per joint, and an automatic speed control of the algorithm. Control interno y gestión de inventarios en la empresa Inversiones JC E.I.R.L., Moyobamba

En esta investigación se tuvo como objeto de estudio, determinar de qué manera el Control interno mejorará la Gestión de inventarios de la Empresa Inversiones JC E.I.R.L; el estudio fue desarrollado bajo un enfoque cuantitativo, con un diseño no experimental a nivel descriptivo- propositivo, mientras que la población es la documentación financiera de la empresa durante los 13 años de creación; en la muestra se utiliza el muestreo no probabilístico de los dos últimos años en la empresa; se planificó emplear la entrevista y el análisis documental y la aplicación de una guía de entrevista y la ficha documental por cada variable; se obtiene en los resultados que no cuenta con un adecuado control interno, no cumple en la gestión de inventarios, en el negocio que laboran no cuenta con el MOF, en la pandemia no hubo ingresos pero ha tenido exceso de mercadería en el almacén; su principal conclusión se basa en que existe deficiencia en el control interno y la gestión de inventarios, finalmente se realizó una propuesta del control interno para mejorar la gestión de inventarios, en la cual se plantearon los 5 mecanismos del control interno para una mejora en las ventas del negocio

Valorización de industria de diseño textil (INDITEX)

Industria de Diseño Textil S.A. (Inditex) es una de las mayores empresas de comercialización de prendas de vestir a nivel mundial. Fue fundada en 1963 por Amancio Ortega. Actualmente cotiza en la Bolsa de Valores de España (2001), y forma parte del IBEX 35, el Eurostoxx600 y el índice Morgan Stanley del Dow Jones. Inicialmente, la compañía se dedicaba exclusivamente a la confección de ropa femenina; en 1975 abrió el primer local de comercialización bajo el nombre de Zara y en 1985 se constituye el grupo empresarial Inditex, el cual agrupa sus ocho marcas: Zara, Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara Home y Uterqüe. Su formato de negocio incluye el diseño, la confección, la distribución y la venta de prendas en sus tiendas

Aplicación de comités de expertos en el modelado del comportamiento humano en situaciones de distorsión visuo-motora

En este trabajo se presenta una aplicación de las arquitecturas neuronales basadas en comités de expertos en donde dan una buena solución en un problema de modelado del comportamiento visuomotor humano. La intención de este artículo ha sido la de mostrar la validez de las redes en comités sobre una aplicación de modelado de sistemas biológicos. Se trata por tanto de mostrar un modelo del comportamiento psicofísico humano, es decir, del comportamiento de las arquitecturas neuronales biológicas mediante redes neuronales artificiales en donde las redes en comité de expertos forman parte de la arquitectura global del modelo

Towards AER VITE: building spike gate signal

Neuromorphic engineers aim to mimic the precise and efficient mechanisms of the nervous system to process information using spikes from sensors to actuators. There are many available works that sense and process information in a spike-based way. But there are still several gaps in the actuation and motor control field in a spike-based way. Spike-based Proportional-Integrative-Derivative controllers (PID) are present in the literature. On the other hand, neuro-inspired control models as VITE (Vector Integration To End point) and FLETE (Factorization of muscle Length and muscle Tension) are also present in the literature. This paper presents another step toward the spike implementation of those neuro-inspired models. We present a spike-based ramp multiplier. VITE algorithm generates the way to achieve a final position targeted by a mobile robotic arm. The block presented is used as a gate for the way involved and it also puts the incoming movement on speed with a variable slope profile. Only spikes for information representation were used and the process is in real time. The software simulation based on Simulink and Xilinx System Generator shows the accurate adjust to the traditional processing for short time periods and the hardware tests confirm and extend the previous simulated results for any time. We have implemented the spikes generator, the ramp multiplier and the low pass filter into the Virtex-5 FPGA and connected this with an USB-AER (Address Event Representation) board to monitor the spikes.Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación TEC2009-10639-C04-0

Paradojas del desarrollo. Desigualdades renovadas en ámbitos metropolitanos

El trabajo aborda el caso de San Juan de Abajo (SJA), como el anti-paradigma del desarrollo. Una localidad periférica a la Ciudad de León, séptima ciudad en importancia demográfica de México, ubicada en el Bajío mexicano. León, al igual que las grandes ciudades mexicanas, es considerada una ciudad moderna con ventajas comparativas importantes, sin embargo, produce sistemáticamente marginación y pobreza urbanas. La aproximación metodológica es mixta: una etnografía se combina y acompaña del análisis de indicadores básicos para medir el desarrollo desde una perspectiva internacional y nacional. Los índices de Desarrollo Humano, de Marginación, de Desarrollo Social, entre otros, son evaluados y se ven drásticamente disminuidos aquí, en comparación con las colonias vecinas. La posición geográfica particular de la localidad es importante en su aislamiento y consecuente segregación residencial. La cercanía y vecindad con la ciudad de la que se desprende y se ve avasallada, tiene significados contrastantes tanto para los habitantes de la localidad como para cualquier observador externo: identidad ejidal vs. dependencia de la gran ciudad, religiosidad acusada vs. altos índices de drogadicción y delincuencia, actividades primarias vs. labores urbanas de jóvenes, aislamiento en la movilidad vs. dependencia en servicios urbanos y organizaciones de propiedad patriarcal vs. mayoría de propietarias mujeres
