Marketing of Agricultural Products in Alagoas: A Study of Marketing Margins and Price Transmission

This study aims to analyze the empirical results of marketing margins and price transmission of some agricultural products in trade fairs in the state of Alagoas, Brazil. Two agricultural products were used in this study: the curly lettuce and cassava (mandioca). These were sought to differentiate the marketing in various trade fairs in different regions, dividing these into the capital (Maceió and Rio Largo) and interior (Pão de Açúcar and União dos Palmares). The model shows that with the price transmission of the two products tested there is greater difficulty in passing on the producer price for retailers in the capital over the interior. Probably, this indicates that the shorter marketing channel within any influence on this result, for then there is the largest producer of direct participation in the process of formation of the final product price. Moreover, the greater perishability of lettuce influences the results significantly.marketing; marketing margin; transmission price

Implementation of inventory management in a footwear industry

Purpose: The objective of this research was to implement new inventory management in a footwear company through the analysis of indicators obtained from inventory data collection. Design/methodology/approach: The ABC analysis methods, demand forecasting, safety stock, reorder point, and economic order quantity were applied. The items in inventory were classified by order of economic importance through ABC analysis, and the proposed indicators were analyzed to determine the moment the inventory replenishment should be carried out as well as the purchase lot size for each item. The research also investigated the behavior of the demand and pointed out the demand forecasting method that came closest to reality. Findings: The study presents a method of implementing inventory management based on indicators derived from the application of ABC curve methods, demand forecasting, safety stock, re-fulfillment point, and economic purchased lot. It also indicates how the ABC classification of stocks can check the most representative materials in stock. The study also highlights that the rejection of modifications can be surpassed by obtaining favorable results. Research limitations/implications: The inventory management applied in this work is based on indicators that resulted in two primary data that defined the size of the purchased lot to be ordered and the amount of material needed. Practical implications: The methods of ABC analysis, demand forecasting, safety stock, reorder point, and economic order quantity were applied. The items in inventory were classified by order of economic importance through ABC analysis, and the proposed indicators were analyzed to determine the moment the inventory replenishment should be carried out as well as the purchase lot size for each item. The research also explored the behavior of the demand and pointed out the demand forecasting method thatcame closest to reality. Comercialização de Produtos Agropecuários Em Alagoas: Um Estudo de Margens de Comercialização e Transmissão de Preços

O presente estudo tem como objetivo analisar os resultados empíricos de margens de comercialização e transmissão de preços de alguns produtos agropecuários em algumas feiras do Estado de Alagoas. Utilizou-se nesse trabalho dois produtos agropecuários: o alface crespo e a macaxeira (aipim). Procurou-se diferenciar a comercialização nas diversas feiras de diferentes regiões, dividindo-as em capital (Maceió e Rio Largo) e interior (Pão de Açúcar e União dos Palmares). O modelo revela que, na transmissão de preço dos dois produtos analisados, existe uma maior dificuldade de se repassar o preço do produtor para os varejistas, na capital em relação ao interior. Provavelmente, isso indica que o canal de comercialização, mais curto no interior, tenha influência nesse resultado, pois nesse caso existe a maior participação do produtor direto no processo de comercialização. Efeito da Chamomilla Recutita no paciente oncológico com mucosite oral: revisão sistemática

Objective: To identify through national and international literature the effects of Chamomilla recutita (CR).Method: A systematic review was chosen which included rigorous analysis of articles, being extremely reliable and of great importance for researchers. The articles analyzed were carefully studied in order to collect data on the potential beneficial effects of the plant in question, in addition to the attempt to verify which method and quantity was necessary to obtain a correct therapeutic application in those with this side effect. At the end of the selection of studies defined by the established criteria, new instruments were applied to validate them, where a quantity of researches that were of entire relevance for this review was reached.Results: With the analysis of the studies, CR was found in the form of mouth rinses, ointments, tinctures and infusions, all with different forms of concentration, preparation and use. The analysis showed that CR presents a potential therapeutic effect in clinical practice with oncologic and hematologic patients, because it provides ample benefits to this population.Conclusion: The ways of using CR showed to be effective, however, the method of rinsing and infusion were the studies that most demonstrate beneficial effects to their patients, although all showed effectiveness. It is suggested future studies to insert this method in the clinical practice of service providers, in order to benefit its users.Objetivo: Identificar los efectos de Chamomilla recutita (CR) a través de la literatura nacional e internacional.Método: Optamos por una revisión sistemática que incluía el análisis riguroso de los artículos, siendo extremadamente confiable y de gran importancia para los investigadores. Los artículos analizados se estudiaron cuidadosamente, de modo que hubo una recopilación de datos sobre los posibles efectos beneficiosos de la planta en cuestión, además del intento de determinar el método y la cantidad necesaria para que se pudiera obtener una aplicación terapéutica correcta en los portadores de este efecto secundario. Al final de la selección de estudios definidos por los criterios establecidos, se aplicaron nuevos instrumentos para validarlos, donde se llegó a una serie de estudios que fueron de máxima relevancia para la presente revisión.Resultados: Con el análisis de los estudios, se encontró CR en forma de enjuagues bucales, pomadas, tinturas e infusiones, todos con diferentes formas de concentración, preparación y uso. Con los análisis realizados, se encontró que la CR tiene un efecto terapéutico potencial en la práctica clínica con pacientes oncológicos y hematológicos, ya que proporciona amplios beneficios para esta población.Conclusión: Las formas de usar la CR demostraron ser efectivas, sin embargo, el método de enjuague e infusión fueron los estudios que más demostraron efectos beneficiosos para sus pacientes, a pesar de que todos mostraron efectividad. Se sugiere que los estudios futuros incluyan este método en la práctica clínica de los proveedores de servicios, para beneficiar a sus usuarios.Objetivo: Identificar através da literatura nacional e internacional os efeitos da Chamomilla recutita (CR). Método: Optou-se por uma revisão sistemática que incluiu a análise rigorosa de artigos, sendo extremamente confiável e de grande importância para pesquisadores. Conclusão: As formas de utilização da CR mostraram-se eficazes, entretanto, o método de enxaguante e infusão foram os estudos que mais demonstram efeitos benéficos aos seus pacientes, apesar de todos demonstrarem eficácia. Sugere-se estudos futuros para que haja inserção deste método na prática clínica dos prestadores de serviços, a fim de beneficiar seus usuários

ESTENOSIS DESPUÉS DE LA BRAQUITERAPIA VAGINAL: OCURRENCIAS Y REPERCUSIONES EN LAS MUJERES CON CÁNCER GINECOLÓGICO

Objetivo: identificar a ocorrência da estenose vaginal pós-braquiterapia ginecológica e suas repercussões na perspectiva das mulheres.Método: estudo quanti-qualitativo, com desenho comparativo com corte longitudinal, envolvendo 23 mulheres; e com desenho interpretativo envolvendo sete mulheres, sustentado pelo referencial teórico da cultura. Ambos realizados em um serviço de radioterapia oncológica no sul do Brasil. A coleta dos dados foi realizada em 2019, sendo submetidos à estatística descritiva e análise temática.Resultados: constatou-se que 22 das participantes apresentaram estenose vaginal em algum momento da avaliação, sendo o grau 1 mais incidente. Das repercussões, identificou-se o sofrimento durante a prática sexual e a falta de compreensão do parceiro.Conclusão: a estenose vaginal repercute além da fisiologia da mulher, implicando em aspectos físicos e emocionais. Logo, esta pesquisa fornece subsídios para a tomada de decisões de enfermeiros, profissionais de saúde e gestores para intervir nas repercussões da estenose vaginal pós-braquiterapia ginecológica.Objective: to identify the occurrence of vaginal stenosis after gynecologic brachytherapy and its repercussions from the women’s perspective.Method: a quantitative-qualitative study, with comparative design with longitudinal section, involving 23 women; and with interpretative design involving seven women, supported by the theoretical referential of culture. Both conducted in a radiotherapy oncology service in southern Brazil. Data collection was performed in 2019, being submitted to descriptive statistics and thematic analysis.Results: it was found that 23 of the participants presented vaginal stenosis at some moment of the evaluation, with grade 1 being the most incident. Of the repercussions, suffering during sexual practice and lack of understanding by the partner were identified.Conclusion: vaginal stenosis has repercussions beyond the woman’s physiology, involving physical and emotional aspects. Thus, this research provides subsidies for decision making by nurses, health professionals, and managers to intervene in the repercussions of vaginal stenosis after gynecological radiotherapy.Objetivo: identificar la ocurrencia de la estenosis vaginal post-braquiterapia ginecológica y sus repercusiones en la perspectiva de las mujeres. Ambos realizados en un servicio de oncología radioterápica del sur de Brasil. La recogida de datos se realizó en 2019, siendo sometida a estadística descriptiva y análisis temático. Resultados: se encontró que 23 de las participantes presentaron estenosis vaginal en algún momento de la evaluación, siendo el grado 1 el más incidente. De las repercusiones, se identificaron el sufrimiento durante la práctica sexual y la falta de comprensión por parte de la pareja. Conclusión: la estenosis vaginal tiene repercusiones más allá de la fisiología de la mujer, implicandoaspectos físicos y emocionales. Por lo tanto, esta investigación aporta ayudas para la toma de decisiones por parte de las enfermeras, los profesionales sanitarios y los gestores para intervenir en las repercusiones de la estenosis vaginal post-braquiterapia ginecológica

Cancer in the social representations of caregivers: implications for care

Objective: Identify the social representations of caregivers of cancer for patients with no chance of cure and analyze their implications for care. Method: This is a qualitative research based on the Theory of Representations. Results: In thematic content analysis fell into two categories: The discovery of the other necessary care and generating two subunits: Limitations and Dependencies of the patient and participation in care; The relationship care, caregiver and patient that generated two subunits: The suffering of caregivers and support, the comfort and hope the caregiver. Conclusion: Is necessary that the nurse promotes strategies that facilitate the involvement of caregivers and the family in caring

A PRODUÇÃO IMAGINÁRIA DE ADOLESCENTES ANORÉXICAS E A APOLOGIA A UM NOVO ESTILO DE VIDA

A anorexia é um transtorno no comportamento alimentar com impactos na imagem corporal. O objetivo deste estudo foi o de identificar o universo imaginário das adolescentes anoréxicas através da análise do discurso de sites de relacionamentos que fazem apologia à anorexia como um novo estilo de vida. Também foi aplicado um questionário a um pai, cuja filha faleceu em decorrência desse transtorno alimentar. Trata-se de um trabalho qualitativo, descritivo e interpretativo sobre a imagem corporal e a anorexia. Diante da análise dos discursos, nota-se que a construção da imagem corporal está imersa numa trama de sentidos e representações sociais

Contribuições e desenvolvimento da Inteligência Emocional no ensino superior / Contributions and development of Emotional Intelligence in higher education

As facetas da vida são dotadas de percalços e adversidades as quais o indivíduo perpassa cotidianamente, o que não ocorre de forma diferente no Ensino Superior, visto que os estudantes passam por um conjunto de desafios e adaptações. Logo, um fator que vai influenciar diretamente nesse percurso, é a habilidade de lidar e conduzir as emoções frente às adversidades, esse é nomeado de inteligência emocional, termo esse que é bem recente em nossa cultura bem como no meio acadêmico, e diz respeito das habilidades do indivíduo em se ter domínio acerca das emoções frente às contingências ambientais ou sociais. Nesse sentido, teve-se por objetivo neste presente trabalho investigar acerca das contribuições da Inteligência emocional e o que a falta dela pode causar da formação acadêmica para a vida apresentando também métodos para desenvolvê-la, utilizando ao longo do trabalho de uma revisão e reflexão teórica acerca de materiais científicos. Partiu-se da ideia de que a inteligência emocional pode e vai influenciar no desempenho vivencial dos indivíduos em todas as vertentes de sua vida, seja ela pessoal, acadêmica ou profissional, por isso a necessidade de se pensar no desenvolvimento desta

Margens e canais de comercialização da alface e tomate: especificidade do caso de Alagoas.

Estudar o processo de comercialização de um produto agrícola em uma região é de fundamental importância, pois possibilita geração de conhecimento de como o mercado funciona e se comporta. Além disso, a alface e o tomate estão entre as cinco culturas hortícolas de maior demanda para consumo no Brasil, mas com algumas diferenças de comportamento regional. Para garantir um abastecimento adequado, estabilidade nos preços e preservação do poder aquisitivo dos consumidores, é preciso portanto aprofundar o entendimento das nuances de seu consumo. Este estudo, com a intenção de despertar uma agenda de pesquisa mais ampla, tem como objetivo: 1) analisar e descrever as principais características dos canais de comercialização atacadista e varejista da alface e tomate no âmbito de Alagoas, e; 2) analisar os resultados empíricos de margens de comercialização e transmissão de preços destas culturas. O modelo revela que na transmissão de preço do produto analisado, existe uma maior dificuldade de se repassar o preço do atacado para o varejo com relação à alface, ou seja, o preço do varejo não sofre influência do atacado.
