    Chiral shifts in heavy-light mesons

The mass shifts of the PP-wave DsD_s and BsB_s mesons due to coupling to DKDK and BKBK channels are calculated in the coupling channel model without fitting parameters. The strong mass shifts down for 0+0^+ and 1+{1^+}' states have been obtained, while 1+"{1^+}" and 2+2^+ states remain almost in situ. The masses of 0+0^+ and 1+{1^+}' states of BsB_s mesons have been predicted.Comment: to be published in the Proceedings of the 14th International QCD Conference, 7th-12th July 2008, Montpellier, Franc

Analysis of the radiative decays among the charmonium states

In this article, we study the radiative decays among the charmonium states with the heavy quark effective theory, and make predictions for the ratios among the radiative decay widths of an special multiplet to another multiplet. The predictions can be confronted with the experimental data in the future and put additional constraints in identifying the XX, YY, ZZ charmonium-like mesons.Comment: 12 pages, revised revisio

Supersymmetry and a rationale for small CP violating phases

We analyse the CP problem in the context of a supersymmetric extension of the standard model with universal strength of Yukawa couplings. A salient feature of these models is that the CP phases are constrained to be very small by the hierarchy of the quark masses, and the pattern of CKM mixing angles. This leads to a small amount of CP violation from the usual KM mechanism and a significant contribution from supersymmetry is required. Due to the large generation mixing in some of the supersymmetric interactions, the electric dipole moments impose severe constraints on the parameter space, forcing the trilinear couplings to be factorizable in matrix form. We find that the LL mass insertions give the dominant gluino contribution to saturate epsilon_K. The chargino contributions to epsilon'/epsilon are significant and can accommodate the experimental results. In this framework, the standard model gives a negligible contribution to the CP asymmetry in B-meson decay, a_{J/\psi K_s}. However, due to supersymmetric contributions to B_d-\bar{B}_d mixing, the recent large value of a_{J/\psi K_s} can be accommodated.Comment: 30 pages, 5 figures. Version to appear in Nucl. Phys.

    Strong decays Bs0BsπB_{s0} \to B_s \pi and Bs1BsπB_{s1} \to B^*_s \pi with light-cone QCD sum rules

In this article, we calculate the strong coupling constants gBs0Bsηg_{B_{s0} B_s \eta} and gBs1Bsηg_{B_{s1} B^*_s \eta} with the light-cone QCD sum rules. Then we take into account the small ηπ0\eta-\pi^0 transition matrix according to Dashen's theorem, and obtain the small decay widths for the isospin violation processes Bs0BsηBsπ0B_{s0}\to B_s\eta\to B_s\pi^0 and Bs1BsηBsπ0B_{s1}\to B_s^*\eta\to B_s^*\pi^0. We can search the strange-bottomed (0+,1+)(0^+,1^+) mesons Bs0B_{s0} and Bs1B_{s1} in the invariant Bsπ0B_s \pi^0 and Bsπ0B^*_s \pi^0 mass distributions respectively.Comment: 15 pages, 2 figures, revised versio

Analysis of the vector and axialvector BcB_c mesons with QCD sum rules

In this article, we study the vector and axialvector BcB_c mesons with the QCD sum rules, and make reasonable predictions for the masses and decay constants, then calculate the leptonic decay widths. The present predictions for the masses and decay constants can be confronted with the experimental data in the future. We can also take the masses and decay constants as basic input parameters and study other phenomenological quantities with the three-point vacuum correlation functions via the QCD sum rules.Comment: 14 pages, 16 figure

Effective Chiral Lagrangian from Dual Resonance Models

Parameters of the effective chiral lagrangian (EChL) of orders O(p4)O(p^4) and O(p6)O(p^6) are extracted from low--energy behaviour of dual resonance models for ππ \pi\pi and πK\pi K scattering amplitudes. Dual resonance models are considered to be good candidates for the resonance spectrum and for hadronic scattering amplitudes in the large NcN_c limit of QCD. We discuss dual resonance models in the presence of spontaneous and explicit chiral symmetry breaking. Obtained parameters of the EChL are used to estimate chiral corrections up to the sixth order to various low--energy characteristics of ππ\pi\pi and πK\pi K scattering amplitudes.Comment: 32 pages, the references list is updated, comparison with chiral quark model is done in more detail

Measurement of Branching Fractions for Bχc1(2)K(K)B\to {\chi}_{c1(2)} K (K^*) at Belle

We have measured the branching fractions for the exclusive decay modes Bχc1(2)K(K)B\to {\chi}_{c1(2)} K(K^*) using a 140 fb1140~{\rm fb}^{-1} data sample collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+ee^+e^- collider. The measured branching fractions for B+χc1K+B^+\to {\chi}_{c1}K^+, B0χc1K0B^0\to {\chi}_{c1}K^0, B0χc1K0B^0\to {\chi}_{c1}K^{*0} and B+χc1K+B^+\to {\chi}_{c1}K^{*+} decay modes are (4.5±0.2±0.5)×104(4.5\pm 0.2\pm0.5)\times 10^{-4}, (3.5±0.3±0.5)×104(3.5\pm 0.3\pm0.5)\times 10^{-4}, (3.1±0.3±0.7)×104(3.1\pm 0.3\pm0.7)\times 10^{-4} and (4.1±0.6±0.9)×104(4.1\pm 0.6\pm0.9)\times 10^{-4}, respectively, where the first error is statistical and the second error is systematic. We do not observe statistically significant signals for the Bχc2K(K)B\to {\chi}_{c2}K(K^*) decay modes and set upper limits at the 90% confidence level. We also study the helicity distribution for Bχc1KB\to {\chi}_{c1} K^* decay mode and show that the longitudinal polarization component is dominant. {{\it Keywords:} {BB-meson, Charmonium, Branching Fractions, Polarization}} {{\it PACS:} 13.25.Hw, 11.30.Er}Comment: 21 pages, 5 figures, 3 tables. Investigation at a ϕ\phi--factory can shed light on several debated issues in particle physics. We discuss: i) recent theoretical development and experimental progress in kaon physics relevant for the Standard Model tests in the flavor sector, ii) the sensitivity we can reach in probing CPT and Quantum Mechanics from time evolution of entangled kaon states, iii) the interest for improving on the present measurements of non-leptonic and radiative decays of kaons and eta/eta^\prime mesons, iv) the contribution to understand the nature of light scalar mesons, and v) the opportunity to search for narrow di-lepton resonances suggested by recent models proposing a hidden dark-matter sector. We also report on the e+ee^+ e^- physics in the continuum with the measurements of (multi)hadronic cross sections and the study of gamma gamma processes.Comment: 60 pages, 41 figures; added affiliation for one of the authors; added reference to section
