Programa de fortalecimiento familiar en unidades educativas. Un ejercicio de vinculación con la sociedad

The objective of this research was to strengthen the family ties of parents of students and their impact on academic performance through the program taught in the bonding area called Family Strengthening,  covering  a  number  of  projects  implemented  by students school of social Work at the Technical University of Manabí (UTM), responding to social demands, and which establishes the National Plan for Good Living. The School of Social Work in 2015 intervened with a family strengthening program and five projects. In the process of project implementation 10 sessions of work was done with parents of families and students of Educational Units: Portoviejo, Pedro Zambrano Izaguirre, Luis Dueñas Vera, Otto Arosemena and Achilles Valencia, in the cantons of Portoviejo and Rocafuerte. The qualitative methodology was based on workshops involving exhibition, dialogued, brainstorming and videos techniques. In each activity they conducted awareness workshops and integration were implemented, for parents, students and teachers, including topics such as values, study habits, resilience, self- esteem, personal growth, among others.  El  objetivo  de  esta  investigación  fue  fortalecer  el  vínculo familiar de los padres de familia, de los estudiantes y su incidencia en el rendimiento académico, a través del programa impartido por el área de vinculación denominado Fortalecimiento Familiar, que abarca una serie de proyectos ejecutados, por estudiantes de la escuela de Trabajo Social de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí (UTM). Esta iniciativa responde a las demandas sociales y a lo que establece el Plan Nacional del Buen Vivir. La Escuela de Trabajo Social en el año 2015 intervino con un programa de Fortalecimiento Familiar y cinco proyectos. En el proceso de implementación de los proyectos se realizaron 10 sesiones de trabajos con padres de familias y estudiantes de las Unidades Educativas: Portoviejo, Pedro Zambrano Izaguirre, Luis Dueñas Vera, Otto Arosemena Gómez y   Aquiles Valencia, de los cantones de Portoviejo y Rocafuerte. La metodología cualitativa se apoyó en talleres que incluían técnicas expositivas, dialogadas, lluvias de ideas y videos. En cada actividad realizada se ejecutaron talleres de concientización e integración, para padres de familia, estudiantes y docentes, incluyendo temas como valores, hábitos de estudio, resilencia, autoestima, crecimiento personal, entre otros

Characterization of Auditory Disability and Its Relation to the Resilience: Technical University of Manabí

The objective of the work is to establish the characterization of the auditory disability and its relationship with resilience at the Technical University of Manabí. The article shows a conceptual analysis related to the inclusion and social integration of disabled students. Based on the fact that the person with disabilities grows and develops in the same way as that of people without disabilities and what usually happens is that disabled people are rejected and discriminated against based on a prefabricated and erroneous conceptualization of these people. The results associated with the application of the SV-RES test prepared by the researchers are shown (Saavedra & Villalta, 2008b). Characterization of the auditory deficit is made in the students, and the limitations that derive from it are pointed out. We analyze the particularities related to communication with students who have a hearing disability and resilience in this type of student, where some personal highlights that in this sense constitute an example of resilience. Finally, the results related to the study of the relationship between students' hearing disability and the level of resilience dimensions are shown

Migración: como fenómeno social vulnerable y salvaguarda de los derechos humanos

The social phenomenon “Migration”, today occupies very attractive scenarios for its disquisition. In this sense, this study is conditioned with the postulates of contemporary authors to analyze the dynamics of migration, in addition, to describe the accompaniment of international instruments or organizations for the protection of the immigrants population, who are vulnerable to economic, social, and social contexts. political, cultural, in transit and arrival in the countries that receive them. The respective article is oriented from a documentary, descriptive and analytical methodological perspective, addressing certain considerations related to the issue of migration. Finding that large-scale migration flows have meant complex challenges for receiving states, nationals and migrant states, where the defense of human rights in all areas must prevail. In conclusion we have that in the face of the gigantic migratory bulge, these States are forced to address constant readjustments to their public policies, accepting certain recommendations of international law, committed to trigger equal treatment of this vulnerable population immersed in the search for economic, social opportunities and security, protected by democratic principles such as freedom, equity and social equality.El fenómeno social “Migración”, hoy ocupa escenarios muy atractivos para su disquisición. En este sentido este estudio se acondiciona con postulados de autores contemporáneos para analizar la dinámica de las migraciones, además, describir el acompañamiento de los instrumentos u organismos internacionales de protección a la población de inmigrantes, quienes se encuentran vulnerables ante los contextos económicos, sociales, políticos, culturales, en el tránsito y llegada a los países que los reciben. El respectivo artículo se orienta desde una perspectiva metodológica documental, descriptiva y analítica, abordando ciertas consideraciones relacionadas con la temática de la migración. Encontrando que Los flujos migratorios a gran escala han significado desafíos complejos tanto para los Estados receptores, los nacionales y los migrantes, donde debe prevalecer la defensa de los derechos humanos en todos los ámbitos. Se concluye que, ante el abultamiento gigantesco migratorio estos Estados se ven obligados a direccionar reacomodos constantes a sus políticas públicas, acogiéndose a ciertas recomendaciones del derecho internacional, comprometidos a accionar un trato igualitario a esta población vulnerable inmersa en la búsqueda de oportunidades económicas, sociales y de seguridad, amparada por principios democráticos como la libertad, equidad e igualdad social

Vinculación con la sociedad: un aporte al perfil profesional del trabajador social de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí

The issue of bonding with the community is one of the continuous reviews that the Social Work career of the Technical University of Manabí has, since, due to its strong discursive component in today's society, it requires preparation, adaptation, revision and continuous improvement, since the societies are in constant movement and these need education and training to be able to intervene them. The objective of this article was to analyze the contribution of the project of connection with society to the professional profile of the social worker of the Technical University of Manabí, for which a quantitative research was applied, with a descriptive approach methodology, with the application of the bibliographic, inductive, deductive and statistical methods, with techniques such as the interview and the survey and the use of questionnaires and the unstructured observation guide to complement the analysis of the results. The population subject to research were 200 families that receive the attention of Social Work students from the Technical University of Manabí, from which a sample was taken of 35 families participating in the project of connection with society of the Social Work career, from the community of Santa Martha of the Rio Chico parish in the Portoviejo canton; The unstructured interviews were applied to key informants from the community, such as representatives of public and private institutions, members of the teaching team of links with the community of the Technical University of Manabí, and community leaders in the sector. The conclusions of the work indicate that community bonding is a learning space for both students and the community, where skills and abilities are developed to search for resources that allow them to satisfy their basic needs; Working with communities is not of pre-established times, nor of general conditions, but implies time, dedication, attention and the provision of all the knowledge to achieve an apprehension of the proposed purposes.El tema de vinculación con la comunidad, es una de las continuas revisiones que tiene la carrera de trabajo Social de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí, pues por su fuerte componente discursivo en la sociedad actual, requiere de preparación, adaptación, revisión y mejoramiento continuo, puesto que las sociedades están en constante movimiento y estos necesitan de formación y capacitación para poder intervenirlas. Este articulo tuvo como objetivo Analizar el aporte del proyecto de vinculación con la sociedad al perfil profesional del trabajador social de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí, para ello se aplicó una investigación de corte cuantitativo, con una metodología de enfoque descriptiva, con la aplicación de los métodos bibliográficos, inductivos, deductivos y estadísticos, con técnicas como la entrevista y el encuesta y el uso de cuestionario y de la guía de observación no estructurada para complementar el análisis de los resultados. La población sujeta de investigación fueron 200 familias que reciben la atención de estudiantes de Trabajo Social de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí, de las cuales se tomó como muestra a 35 familias participantes del proyecto de vinculación con la sociedad de la carrera de Trabajo Social, de la comunidad de Santa Martha de la parroquia Rio Chico del cantón Portoviejo; las entrevistas no estructuradas se aplicó a informantes claves de la comunidad como representantes de instituciones públicas y privadas, miembros del equipo docente de vinculación con la comunidad de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí y líderes comunitarios del sector. Las conclusiones del trabajo indican que la vinculación comunitaria es un espacio de aprendizaje tanto para los estudiantes como para la comunidad, donde se desarrollan habilidades y destrezas para la búsqueda de recursos que le permitan satisfacer sus necesidades básicas; trabajar con comunidades no es de tiempos preestablecidos, ni de condiciones generales sino que implica tiempo, dedicación, atención y prestación de todos los conocimientos para lograr una aprehensión de los fines propuestos

Intervención del Trabajador Social en la convivencia familiar de las mujeres profesionales

El artículo presenta una síntesis reflexiva basada en una investigación en como el Trabajador Social se transforma en instrumento del bienestar social y sus modelos teóricos y prácticos de intervención, que debe aplicar en antiguos problemas y nuevas fracturas sociales que afectan a las mujeres profesionales y su convivencia familiar. El tiempo es un elemento fundamental que por lo general no se cuestiona en el contexto laboral, por ello el Trabajador Social debe identificar los principales conflictos que las mujeres profesionales enfrentan en su vida cotidiana entorno a la armonización trabajo-familia, basándose en su objetivo de analizar la intervención del trabajador social en la convivencia familiar de las mujeres profesionales de la universidad Técnica de Manabí, de la Facultad de Ciencias Humanísticas y Sociales. Los resultados de este artículo se obtuvieron mediante una metodología investigativa de tipo exploratorio-descriptivo, desde un enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo; se aplica una muestra no probabilística por conveniencia-intencional docentes profesionales,; se utilizó la entrevista estructurada para conocer aspectos significativos; constatando la presencia de un moderado nivel de conflicto en la convivencia familiar, caracterizado por tener trabajos rutinarios entre la vida laboral y familiar, evitando conductas paralelas y vivenciando un comportamiento secuencial negativo solo en el ámbito familiar. La investigación reconoce la necesidad de la búsqueda de estrategias de intervención sobre las féminas objeto de estudio para mejorar la calidad de vida

Intervention of social work in political participation of women in forming process of neighborhood councils of canton Portoviejo

With globalization, it has become evident that there are still differences in women's participation in political development, despite the process of change, equality and equity implemented for several years, the greater participation of men in relation to the woman, have been excluded in some spaces within society for a long time. The political participation of women continues to be a great challenge in Ecuador's contemporary society. The processes carried out have not achieved the inclusion of women in the issues of political representation.  As a whole, the causes may be ignorance, omission, and of course this machismo that predominate even on the subject; without leaving of side the little processes of investigation on the subject, that are sporadic, and more in the subject of the considered policy only for the masculine gender. The current challenge is the empowerment, education, preparation and training of both men and women on the issue of equality, inclusion and social participation of all in the different mutual areas with emphasis on the political, economic and social aspects of development and well-being of people, guaranteed in the Constitution of Ecuador and the objectives of Good Living
