Management Accounting and Control Systems and Gender: A Literature Review

En este artículo, se justifica, de forma teórica, el interés de realizar un estudio amplio, desde una perspectiva de género, sobre el diseño, presentación y percepción de los Sistemas de Contabilidad y Control de Gestión (SCCG). Como primer paso hacia esa meta, el objetivo de este trabajo consiste en identificar los aspectos relacionados con el género, presentes en revistas contables de las últimas cuatro décadas. Se registraron 74 estudios publicados en 10 revistas de referencia en contabilidad entre los años 1983 y el primer semestre del año 2013. La revisión incluye un análisis del tema de investigación, el sector, el marco teórico, la metodología de recogida de datos, la técnica de análisis de datos y una descripción de los elementos de género que abordados. Los resultados muestran la situación actual de esta perspectiva en la investigación contable, y permite identificar lagunas y oportunidades para plantear futuros trabajos en torno a la contabilidad y el género.This paper justified, theoretically, the interest to conduct a comprehensive study from a gender perspective on the design, presentation and perception of the Management Accounting and Control Systems (MACS). As a first step toward this goal, the main objective of this paper is to identify gender-related aspects present in accounting journals over the past four decades. In this work were registered 74 studies published in 10 impact journals in accounting between 1983 and the first half of 2013. The review includes an analysis of the research topic, the sector, the theoretical framework, methodology, data analysis technique and a description of the elements addressed gender. The results shows the current status of this perspective in accounting research and allows to identify gaps and opportunities for developing future works on the accounting environment and gender

Territory 3: digital system of territorial investigation in urbanism, urban geography and ground geography

The project territorio3 articulates diverse theoretical fields and scales in a same space of investigation. Its objective is to create a digital system of academic use that integrates the development of cross-sectional investigations in courses of Geography and Urbanism, allowing to an analysis of the process of urban expansion of Santiago and their local impacts. This project tries to resolve the typical educational incompatibilidades between students of different courses and levels - from hours, work differences and lack from physical space that vanish in a virtual atmosphere, conserving the autonomy to discipline of each course.Peer Reviewe

A propósito de la mercantilización de la educación

This article develops a reflection on the challenges that face the current education and the impact that the capitalist economic model has on the formative, social, curricular, evaluative, pedagogical and didactic dynamics in schools. Based on the different theoretical and conceptual developments that address the problem of the current environmental crisis, an attempt is made to show that the training processes that are currently being developed in most educational institutions have lost their essence and structure by becoming merchandise or goods of consumption, a decontextualization is noticed that prevents responding and addressing the social, cultural, academic, environmental problems in which the educational institution is immersed, which allows arguing the need to build an educational system that breaks with the actual paradigms in traditional education, to give way to an inclusive education where all social, productive and political sectors are integrated in the perspective of contributing to the achievement of a democratic, just, participatory and pertinent society with the needs of a complex reality.El presente artículo desarrolla una reflexión sobre los desafíos que enfrenta la educación actual y la incidencia que tiene el modelo económico capitalista en las dinámicas formativas, sociales, curriculares, evaluativas, pedagógicas y didácticas en la escuela. A partir de los diversos desarrollos teóricos y conceptuales que abordan la problemática de la crisis ambiental vigente, se intenta demostrar que los procesos formativos que hoy se desarrollan en la mayoría de las instituciones educativas han perdido su esencia y estructura al convertirse en mercancías o bienes de consumo; se advierte una descontextualización que impide responder y abordar las problemáticas sociales, culturales, académicas y ambientales en las cuales se encuentra inmersa la institución educativa, que permite argumentar la necesidad de construir un sistema educativo que rompa con los paradigmas vigentes en la educación tradicional, para dar paso a una educación incluyente donde se integren todos los sectores sociales, productivos y políticos en la perspectiva de contribuir al logro de una sociedad democrática, justa, participativa y pertinente con las necesidades de una realidad compleja

Phenolic Compounds Recovery from Grape Fruit and By- Products: An Overview of Extraction Methods

Phenolic compounds are considered as bioactive compounds having beneficial effects on human health. Because of their biological properties, they have wide applications on pharmaceutical and food industries, and for this reason, it is important to identify most appropriate procedures, which permits the standardization for recovery of these compounds from several plant materials including grapes. Grape fruit and by-products are excellent sources of bioactive compounds such as pigments, organic acids, and phenolic compounds. Several convectional and emerging technologies have been evaluated in order to recover phenolic compounds from grape fruits and wastes such as chemical, physical, and biotechnological techniques, which offer different advantages related to economic, environmental, time-saving, and yield aspects. Nowadays, there is no updated information, which provides an overview about the techniques applied of these bioactive compound recovery in order to obtain high-quality and high-activity extracts rich in phenolic compounds from grape fruit and by-products. Fluctuations in phenolic content, ascorbic acid and total carotenoids and antioxidant activity of fruit beverages during storage

Stability of the total phenolic content, ascorbic acid, total carotenoids and antioxidant activity in eight fruit beverages was analyzed. The influence of storage temperature (4, 8 and 11 °C) during the product shelf-life (20 days) was evaluated. Pomegranate Juice presented the highest values for antioxidant activity by DPPH• assay (552.93 ± 6.00 GAE μg mL−1), total carotenoids (3.18 ± 0.11 βCE μgmL−1), and total phenolic content (3967.07 ± 2.47 GAE μg mL−1); while Splash Blend recorded the highest levels of ascorbic acid (607.39 ± 2.13 AAE μg mL−1). The antioxidant capacity was stable at 4 and 8 °C for the first 8 days of storage; while carotenoids and ascorbic acid were slightly degraded through the storage time, possibly due to oxidation and/or reactions with other compounds. The results suggest that the observed variation during testing could be related to storage conditions of the final product

El maestro para la paz, la equidad y la reconciliación, ¿un proceso posible?

La investigación “Construcción de prácticas pedagógicas alternativas para la formación de maestros para la paz, la equidad y la reconciliación” tuvo como objetivo “Desarrollar un proceso de diseño, estructuración y validación de prácticas pedagógicas alternativas para la paz, la equidad y la reconciliación en un contexto de posconflicto”. El enfoque metodológico que orientó la investigación fue cualitativo con corte etnográfico; los instrumentos empleados fueron entrevistas, conversatorios y registros documentales. Un resultado significativo de la investigación fue la construcción de una cartografía de la realidad escolar, que se convierte en un referente para la transformación y la construcción de nuevas prácticas pedagógicas que contribuyan a una educación más pertinente y contextualizada. Se pudo establecer que una escuela para la paz, la equidad y la reconciliación deben pasar por un proceso de deconstrucción para re-construirse socialmente en la que se reconozcan los contextos, motivaciones e intereses de la comunidad académic

Acompañamiento en el diagnóstico de la gestión financiera en la unión de campesinos organizados de la cuenca de san Dionisio (UCOSD) del departamento de Matagalpa, durante el año 2018

La presente investigación muestra el acompañamiento en la elaboración del Diagnóstico de la Gestión Empresarial Asociativa de la Unión de Campesinos Organizados de la Cuenca de San Dionisio (UCOSD). Específicamente se aborda la situación sobre la gestión financiera que se lleva a cabo en esta organización para llevar a cabo los planes que apoyan a los productores asociados. La metodología utilizada fue la investigación participativa (IP) porque utiliza un enfoque cualitativo. La población utilizada fueron 234 socios que conforman UCOSD, los métodos utilizados son método científico, teórico, empírico, inductivo, analítico y de síntesis, las técnicas que se implementaron fueron el grupo focal con los productores, entrevistas y observación directa, para acompañar en la elaboración del Diagnóstico de la Gestión Empresarial Asociativa, es de gran importancia que toda organización posea una adecuada gestión financiera, puesto que de esta depende el buen manejo de fondos y recursos financieros y el uso correcto de los mismos dentro de la organización. Se determinó que la UCOSD está siendo deficiente en su gestión financiera ya que no cumplen con ciertos criterios evaluados en la investigación que enmarcan una buena gestión financiera como en el uso y manejo de los recursos financieros que garanticen el desarrollo económico familiar y organizacional, determinando puntos débiles en la falta de educación financiera que tienen los socios, debido a que carecen de conocimiento y habilidades para el manejo certero de su efectivo, determinando que los principales aspectos que impiden el buen manejo y uso de sus recursos financieros radica en la falta de gestión y planificación por parte de los productores, ya que estos no cuentan con una cultura de planificación.
