Decentralized 3D Collision Avoidance for Multiple UAVs in Outdoor Environments

The use of multiple aerial vehicles for autonomous missions is turning into commonplace. In many of these applications, the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have to cooperate and navigate in a shared airspace, becoming 3D collision avoidance a relevant issue. Outdoor scenarios impose additional challenges: (i) accurate positioning systems are costly; (ii) communication can be unreliable or delayed; and (iii) external conditions like wind gusts affect UAVs’ maneuverability. In this paper, we present 3D-SWAP, a decentralized algorithm for 3D collision avoidance with multiple UAVs. 3D-SWAP operates reactively without high computational requirements and allows UAVs to integrate measurements from their local sensors with positions of other teammates within communication range. We tested 3D-SWAP with our team of custom-designed UAVs. First, we used a Software-In-The-Loop simulator for system integration and evaluation. Second, we run field experiments with up to three UAVs in an outdoor scenario with uncontrolled conditions (i.e., noisy positioning systems, wind gusts, etc). Análisis del desempeño financiero por regiones de Colombia 2009- 2012: un enfoque de evaluación de competitividad territorial

The aim of this paper is to present the financial performance evaluation of business by region in Colombia for the period 2009-2012, from the comprehensive financial analysis, with a focus from territorial competitiveness. Financial information reported to the Superintendencia de Sociedades was used, which was classified into five major regions of the country. It was found that the Amazon region has difficulty obtaining long-term financing, the highest EBITDA and increased cash generation capability found in the Andean region, and finally, the Caribbean has the highest operational cycle and lower profitability, affecting its competitivenessEl objetivo de este artículo es presentar la evaluación del desempeño financiero empresarial por regiones en Colombia para el período 2009-2012, a partir del análisis financiero integral, con un enfoque desde la competitividad territorial. Se utilizó la información financiera reportada ante la Superintendencia de Sociedades, la cual se clasificó en las cinco grandes regiones del país. Se encontró que la región amazónica tiene  dificultades para obtener financiamiento a largo plazo; en la zona andina el EBITDA es más alto y hay mayor capacidad de generación de efectivo, y por último, el Caribe presenta el mayor ciclo operacional y la más baja rentabilidad, lo que afecta su competitividad.

Un acercamiento al estudio de la historia contemporánea de España: la Segunda República

A continuación vamos a ver en este Trabajo Fin de Grado una propuesta de intervención, con el apoyo de la metodología del Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos (ABP), en el cual el alumnado aprenderá los conceptos básicos de la Segunda República Española. Se ha aceptado durante mucho tiempo que una dieta alta en fibra es un «buen hábito» y protege contra el  cáncer del colon. Sin embargo, ha habido una lluvia de extensos estudios publicados en revistas prestigiosas, que no han apoyado esta apreciación. Las acciones e interacciones de la dieta y el intestino son complejas y  deberíamos ser cautos de las teorías simplistas.  Recientes estudios han demostrado que ahora es tiempo de adoptar una mente más abierta al considerar los beneficios o no de la fibra dietaria. Hay todavía una gran  necesidad de investigación básica, para discernir los efectos y acciones de la fibra en nuestro organismo. Los  resultados contradictorios, se deben en parte a la complejidad de la fibra, a los factores sociodemográficos  estudiados, a diferencias étnicas y genéticas.It has been accepted during a lot of time that a high diet in fiber is a “good habit” and it protects against the  colon cancer. However, have been had a rain of extensive studies published in noted journals that have not  supported this appreciation. The actions and interactions of the diet and the intestine are complex and we  should be cautious of the simplistic theories. Recent studies have demonstrated that now it is time of  adopting a mind more open to considering the benefits or not of the dietary fiber. There is still a great  necessity of research basic, to discern the effects and actions of the fiber in our organism.  The contradictory  results are owed partly to the complexity of the fiber, to the sociodemographics factors studied, to ethnic and genetic differences

Sonido y silencio en la creación sonora: proyecto en el aula de primer curso de educación infantil

El Trabajo Fin de Grado reflexiona sobre la importancia de la música en Educación Infantil, a través de un proyecto de intervención didáctico en un aula de 3 años, que toma como referencia la Pedagogía de la Creación Musical (PCM). En el presente trabajo se aborda la adquisición de la música en el niño a lo largo de sus primero años de vida y las principales características de la PCM. Asimismo, se narra un proceso de creación para llevar al aula una propuesta que estimule la escucha creativa y la improvisación musical. Se demuestra así la posibilidad de trabajar la música desde una nueva perspectiva en la etapa de Infantil, basada en el concepto de silencio y la promoción de la escucha de manera más consciente y creativa.ABSTRACT The Final Degree Project reflects about the importance of music in Pre-School Education, through a didactic intervention Project in a class of children of 3 years, which takes as a reference the Pedagogy of Musical Creation (PMC). The present work deals with the acquisition of music in children throughout their first years of life and the main characteristics of the PMC. Likewise, a creation process is narrated to take the classroom to stimulate creative listening and musical improvisation. A Novel Genetic Screen Identifies Modifiers of Age-Dependent Amyloid β Toxicity in the Drosophila Brain

The accumulation of amyloid β peptide (Aβ) in the brain of Alzheimer's disease (AD) patients begins many years before clinical onset. Such process has been proposed to be pathogenic through the toxicity of Aβ soluble oligomers leading to synaptic dysfunction, phospho-tau aggregation and neuronal loss. Yet, a massive accumulation of Aβ can be found in approximately 30% of aged individuals with preserved cognitive function. Therefore, within the frame of the "amyloid hypothesis", compensatory mechanisms and/or additional neurotoxic or protective factors need to be considered and investigated. Here we describe a modifier genetic screen in Drosophila designed to identify genes that modulate toxicity of Aβ42 in the CNS. The expression of Aβ42 led to its accumulation in the brain and a moderate impairment of negative geotaxis at 18 days post-eclosion (d.p.e) as compared with genetic or parental controls. These flies were mated with a collection of lines carrying chromosomal deletions and negative geotaxis was assessed at 5 and 18 d.p.e. Our screen is the first to take into account all of the following features, relevant to sporadic AD: (1) pan-neuronal expression of wild-type Aβ42; (2) a quantifiable complex behavior; (3) Aβ neurotoxicity associated with progressive accumulation of the peptide; and (4) improvement or worsening of climbing ability only evident in aged animals. One hundred and ninety-nine deficiency (Df) lines accounting for ~6300 genes were analyzed. Six lines, including the deletion of 52 Drosophila genes with human orthologs, significantly modified Aβ42 neurotoxicity in 18-day-old flies. So far, we have validated CG11796 and identified CG17249 as a strong candidate (whose human orthologs are HPD and PRCC, respectively) by using RNAi or mutant hemizygous lines. PRCC encodes proline-rich protein PRCC (ppPRCC) of unknown function associated with papillary renal cell carcinoma. HPD encodes 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD), a key enzyme in tyrosine degradation whose Df causes autosomal recessive Tyrosinemia type 3, characterized by mental retardation. Interestingly, lines with a partial Df of HPD ortholog showed increased intraneuronal accumulation of Aβ42 that coincided with geotaxis impairment. These previously undetected modifiers of Aβ42 neurotoxicity in Drosophila warrant further study to validate their possible role and significance in the pathogenesis of sporadic AD.Fil: Belfiori Carrasco, Lautaro Francisco. En la actualidad Mosaicos Sarrari ha ido creciendo en el gremio, teniendo como objetivo y misión ser una empresa competitiva y reconocida a nivel nacional e internacional.
