Evolución clínica en pacientes con enfermedad cerebrovascular de tres hospitales del norte del Perú : 2017 - 2018

La enfermedad cerebrovascular (ECV) luego del alta hospitalaria genera una elevada mortalidad, discapacidad y rehospitalizaciones. Sin embargo, la información es limitada. Objetivo: Describir la evolución clínica en pacientes con Enfermedad Cerebrovascular de tres hospitales del norte del Perú: 2017-2018. Métodos: Estudio de cohorte prospectivo con un seguimiento a los siete días, al mes y a los tres meses. Se recolectó datos sociodemográficos y relacionados al evento de ECV a través de una ficha de recolección de datos. Resultados: El tipo de ECV más frecuente fue el isquémico con 51/90 casos. La mortalidad, la frecuencia de reingresos y nuevos eventos a los tres meses fueron del 23,8% (21/88), 34,09% (30/88) y 19,31% (17/88), respectivamente. El diagnóstico de reingreso más frecuente fue la neumonía (23,8%). El compromiso neurológico y la dependencia funcional disminuyó con respecto al inicio. Conclusiones: La mortalidad, frecuencia de reingresos y nuevos eventos durante un tiempo de seguimiento de tres meses fue mayor en comparación a otros estudios

The sense that prevailed in humans has been the sense of sight, as the enabling for faster perception of the environment that surronds human. This has displaced the other senses, relegating its importance and creating ―the image culture‖. What happen if we decided to manage without the sense of sight and focus in using the other senses? How can architecture respond to these new needs for desingn a space ?, for design a city ?. The purpose has been to find the ideal architectural parti to take as a basis system for the adjustment between sequential memory and a basic binary system, to build spaces that will guide the blind and weak visual in a building with neccesary equipment in the city of Quito . From this system of perception of intelligible forms through memory (repetition, rhythm, order) and various subsystems such as: touch (texture, materiality), smell (nature, outdoors), ear (acoustic, eco, context) proposes a more comprehensive and meditative space perception. Simultaneously, thinking about city, it is intended that the building promotes a restructuring of public space in the city, with the intention of being a cultural encounter, that promotes the value of knowledge, and sports, located along a longitudinal axis that connects citywide, easy and convenient access for all.El sentido que a primado en el ser humano ha sido el sentido de la vista, por ser el que permite una percepción más rápida del entorno que rodea al humano. Esto a desplazado a los demás sentidos, relegando su importancia y creando una sociedad que responde principalmente a la cultura de la imagen.¿Qué pasaría si decidimos prescindir del sentido de la vista y nos enfocáramos en los demás? ¿De qué manera puede responder la arquitectura ante estas nuevas necesidades al momento de diseñar un espacio?, ¿Al momento de diseñar una ciudad?. El objetivo ha sido encontrar el partido arquitectónico ideal que tome como fundamento al ajuste entre la memoria secuencial y un sistema binario base, para construir los espacios que van a orientar a las personas invidentes y débiles visuales en un edificio de equipamientos en la ciudad de quito. A partir de este sistema de percepción de formas inteligibles mediante la memoria (repetición, ritmo, orden) y de varios subsistemas como: tacto (texturas, materialidad), olfato (naturaleza, patios), oído (acústica, eco, contexto) se propone una percepción más integral y meditativa del espacio. Simultáneamente, al pensar en ciudad, se pretende que el edificio promueva una reestructuración del espacio público de la ciudad, con la intención de constituir un eje cultural, de valor del conocimiento, y del deporte, ubicado a lo largo de un eje longitudinal que conecte a toda la ciudad, de fácil y adecuado acceso para todos

Field Fluctuations and Casimir Energy of 1D-Fermions

Producción CientíficaWe investigate the self-adjoint extensions of the Dirac operator of a massive one-dimensional field of mass m confined in a finite filament of length L. We compute the spectrum of vacuum fluctuations of the Dirac field under the most general dispersionless boundary conditions. We identify its edge states in the mass gap within a set of values of the boundary parameters, and compute the Casimir energy of the discrete normal modes. Two limit cases are considered, namely, that of light fermions with mL 1, and that of heavy fermions for which mL 1. It is found that both positive and negative energies are obtained for different sets of values of the boundary parameters. Detection of Non-Stationary Photometric Perturbations on Projection Screens

Interfaces based on projection screens have become increasingly more popular in recent years, mainly due to the large screen size and resolution that they provide, as well as their stereo-vision capabilities. This work shows a local method for real-time detection of non-stationary photometric perturbations in projected images by means of computer vision techniques. The method is based on the computation of differences between the images in the projector’s frame buffer and the corresponding images on the projection screen observed by the camera. It is robust under spatial variations in the intensity of light emitted by the projector on the projection surface and also robust under stationary photometric perturbations caused by external factors. Moreover, we describe the experiments carried out to show the reliability of the method

El debate modernidad/postmodernidad en la interpretación del Neolítico. Una perspectiva desde la arqueología social

Con el presente artículo pretendemos demostrar la necesidad de adoptar una posición teórica-metodológica a la hora de realizar cualquier investigación arqueológica, así como de que ningún investigador es inocente a la hora de adoptar o no una posición teórica determinada.Además, analizaremos el contexto histórico donde germina la "Modernidad" y la "Postmodemidad". Así mismo, analizaremos el ámbito espacio-tiempo en el que nacen tanto la Arqueología Procesual, así como la Arqueología Postprocesual, el esquema conceptual que profesan a nivel general, así como su aplicación práctica en su interpretación del tránsito hacia el Neolítico. Por último, desarrollaremos una critica desde una posición teórica alternativa, como lo es la Arqueología Social, a la hora de analizar la problemática del tránsito de sociedades de bandas de cazadores-recolectores a sociedades tribales

A systematic literature review on the development and use of mobile learning (web) apps by early adopters

Surveys in mobile learning developed so far have analysed in a global way the effects on the usage of mobile devices by means of general apps or apps already developed. However, more and more teachers are developing their own apps to address issues not covered by existing m-learning apps. In this article, by means of a systematic literature review that covers 62 publications placed in the hype of teacher-created m-learning apps (between 2012 and 2017, the early adopters) and the usage of 71 apps, we have analysed the use of specific m-learning apps. Our results show that apps have been used both out of the classroom to develop autonomous learning or field trips, and in the classroom, mainly, for collaborative activities. The experiences analysed only develop low level outcomes and the results obtained are positive improving learning, learning performance, and attitude. As a conclusion of this study is that the results obtained with specific developed apps are quite similar to previous general surveys and that the development of long-term experiences are required to determine the real effect of instructional designs based on mobile devices. These designs should also be oriented to evaluate high level skills and take advantage of mobile features of mobile devices to develop learning activities that be made anytime at anyplace and taking into account context and realistic situations. Relación entre actividad física, estados de ánimo y género en personas adultas

El estado de ánimo (EA) es un factor relacionado con la percepción del estado de bienestar y la salud de la población (Fang et al., 2008; Glaser y Kiecolt-Glaser, 2005; Vázquez, Hervás, Rahona y Gómez, 2009). Investigaciones como las realizadas por Alonso et al. (2013); Redd y Ones (2006) entre otros, muestran que las personas que realizan actividad física (AF) tienen mejores EA. En este trabajo se analiza la relación entre AF, EA y género de la población. Estudio descriptivo y correlacional de corte transversal realizado sobre una muestra de 1002 sujetos con edad ≥18 años. Muestra estratificada por cuotas de edad, género y distrito municipal, con un nivel de confianza del 95.5% (error 3.01). Se realizó una entrevista personalizada para cumplimentar un cuestionario de Hábitos de actividad física (basado en Compass, 2000) y Cuestionario sobre esatdos de ánimo (CEA, de Arruza, Gil de Montes y Arribas, 2007). Los resultados mostraron una mayor presencia de estados de ánimo negativos en las mujeres con respecto a los hombres. Se observan diferencias significativas de género en las sensaciones de tristeza, cansancio y animado. La AF tiene una correlación postiva de baja magnitud con el EA positivo y una correlación negativa con el EA de tristeza y cansancioRelationship between physical activity, moods and gender in adults. Mood state (MS) is an element related to the perception of the welfare state and the health of the population (Fang et al., 2008; Glaser & Kiecolt-Glaser, 2005: Vázquez, Hervás, Rahona & Gómez, 2009). Investigations carried out by Alonso et al. (2013); Redd & Ones (2006) or among others, have revealed that people who perform physical activity (PA) have better MS. The main aim of this research was to analyze the relationship between PA, MS and population's gender. To this end, a descriptive and correlational cross-sectional study was performed on a sample of 1002 subjects aged ≥18 years. Sample was stratified by age, gender and municipal district quotas, with a confidence level of 95.5% (error 3.01). A personalized interview was conducted to complete a questionnaire about physical activity habits (based on Compass, 2000) and a questionnaire about mood states (CEA, of Arruza, Gil de Montes & Arribas, 2007). Results showed a greater presence of negative moods in women with respect to men. Significant gender differences were observed in the feelings of sadness, fatigue and annoyance. PA had a low magnitude postive correlation with positive MS and a negative correlation with negative MS (sadness and fatigue)
