Audit market concentration and related regulatory measures

Audit markets are highly concentrated and such a situation might have negative consequences on competition, and thus, on price setting, on audit quality and on the functioning of markets. The European regulator recognized some causes for audit market concentration, identified a systemic risk and suggested joint audits and a mandatory rotation of audit firms to reduce concentration. Prominent concentration measures are concentration ratios, the Lorenz curve, the Gini-coefficient and the Herfindahl-Hirschman-Index. An empirical study on the concentration of German Prime Standard market for the period 2010 – 2013 revealed a high concentration which is quite stable over time and a narrow oligopoly with duopolistic tendencies. Nevertheless, competition could still work, e.g. due to the threat of market entrants. Moreover, given the fact that Big4 audit firms provide a higher audit quality, concentration may have positive effects. The mandatory audit firm rotation has a positive effect on auditor independence and a negative effect on auditor competence. This explains why related research output is inconclusive, i.e. the total effect on audit quality remains unclear. Moreover, a positive impact on competition is not ensured. Archival studies reveal that joint audits do not improve audit quality but increase audit costs. On the other hand, joint audits potentially reduce concentration. Comunicando cambios en el tiempo: elementos para una situación didáctica

Con el objeto de mejorar la apropiación de herramientas para el pensamiento variacional, el presente trabajo presenta indagaciones realizadas en torno a gráficas de variación en el tiempo, en especial aquellas de distancia en el tiempo. Entendemos que construir aprendizajes implica introducir al estudiante en prácticas matemáticas que potencien las nociones a construir, por ello reconocer las situaciones en que las gráficas distancia‐tiempo y, en particular el tiempo, son necesarios para comunicar y trabajar concambios, se torna central. El presente reporte da cuenta de experiencias exploratorias con base en la necesidad de comunicar cambios, recurriendo a representaciones gráficas, de modo de constatar en qué situaciones se representa al tiempo en tales gráficas

Metáforas, herramientas para interpretar argumentos variacionales

En este estudio se asume una naturaleza de la noción de variación como red semántico-operacional transversal, que imbrica distintos contenidos escolares de ciencia experimental y de matemática, particularmente aquellos de tiempo, distancia y velocidad. Se estudian metáforas cotidianas, escolares y matemáticas para el tiempo y la determinación de posibles eslabones entre ellas, postulados con base en un estudio de aspectos histórico epistemológicos, didácticos, cognitivos y socioculturales, propios del acercamiento socioepistemológico y en el marco de desarrollo de una ingeniería didáctica (Díaz, Gutiérrez, Ávila y Carrasco, 2006) Y de este modo aportar una visión compleja y dinámica para entender la naturaleza de la construcción de saberes matemáticos

La gestión económica de la actividad de un centro sociosanitario en España: caso del IASS

El objetivo de la investigación se centra en definir las estructuras básicas de un modelo de contabilidad analítica –elementos de coste, centros, actividades, criterios de distribución, etc.- en centros socio-sanitarios y los informes e indicadores que permitan orientar una gestión en la aplicación de recursos que sea más transparente, eficiente y eficaz. Ante la escasez de recursos, resulta imprescindible aplicar para el desarrollo de dicha actividad, como para cualquier otra, los principios de eficiencia, eficacia y economía, que deben presidir como principios fundamentales su gestión económica. Nuestro objetivo es plantear un modelo de contabilidad analítica que dé respuesta informativa al cálculo de coste de las actividades e indicadores de gestión que permitan medir el grado de consecución de los citados principios, con los modelos y la tecnología de cálculo que tenemos en la actualidad a nuestro alcance.Universidad de Málaga. Influencia de los tipos de comunicación en el cambio organizacional de la Municipalidad Distrital La Esperanza, Trujillo 2022

El propósito de la presente investigación fue explicar la influencia de los tipos de comunicación en el cambio organizacional de la Municipalidad Distrital de la Esperanza, Trujillo 2022. Metodológicamente se sustenta en un estudio de tipo explicativo, la muestra estuvo constituida por 110 servidores que laboran, comprendidos entre 23 a 51 años a más. Para recolectar los datos se utilizó la encuesta, teniendo como instrumento dos cuestionarios de elaboración propia y validada a través de Juicio de Expertos. En los resultados obtenidos se evidencia , mediante el análisis de regresión, que la Comunicación interna influye significativamente (p<0,05) en el Cambio organizacional de la Municipalidad Distrital de la Esperanza en el año 2022, explicando la variabilidad de esta última en un 5,7% (R2=0,057). Por otro lado, la Comunicación externa no influye significativamente en el Cambio organizacional (p>0,05), con lo cual se confirma parcialmente la hipótesis de investigaciónThe purpose of the present investigation was to explain the influence of the types of communication in the organizational change of the District Municipality of La Esperanza, Trujillo 2022. Satisfaction with the Care Received and the Childbirth and Puerperium Experience in Christian and Muslim Pregnant Women

Over the last three decades, there has been an increase in the population as a result of the migratory flow due to the arrival of migrants to Spain, including young women of childbearing age and with reproductive capacity. This phenomenon has made childbirth assistance an extremely important priority in recent years. The aim of this study was to assess the satisfaction and experience during childbirth and the postpartum period in pregnant women according to their religion after assistance in a tertiary hospital. A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted on a sample of 242 women using the validated Spanish version of the Mackey Childbirth Satisfaction Rating Scale (MCSRS) to measure satisfaction with the childbirth experience during the months of January to April 2021. Statistically significant differences were found in the domains of birth satisfaction (p < 0.01), satisfaction with the obstetrician (p < 0.01), and perception of pain during labour (p < 0.01). The Christian group of women scored higher in these three domains as compared to the Muslim group. The rate of breastfeeding at birth was 5.26 times higher among the Muslim group compared to the Christian group (p = 0.02). The experience of childbirth and the puerperium significantly influenced the levels of satisfaction of pregnant women with the process of childbirth in a different way according to the religious culture of the patient

Impact of the initialization in tree-based fast similarity search techniques

Many fast similarity search techniques relies on the use of pivots (specially selected points in the data set). Using these points, specific structures (indexes) are built speeding up the search when queering. Usually, pivot selection techniques are incremental, being the first one randomly chosen. This article explores several techniques to choose the first pivot in a tree-based fast similarity search technique. We provide experimental results showing that an adequate choice of this pivot leads to significant reductions in distance computations and time complexity. Moreover, most pivot tree-based indexes emphasizes in building balanced trees. Plan de mantenimiento basado en herramientas de la confiabilidad para equipos de la línea de proceso de frutilla Empresa APFRUT

139 p.En este trabajo se presenta el resultado obtenido al diseñar un Plan de Mantenimiento para los equipos críticos de la Línea Proceso de Frutilla (Sala de Lavado de Frutilla, Sala Proceso de congelado Continuo y Sala de Calibrado) de la empresa APFRUT (Agrícola Pinochet Fuenzalida Ltda), ubicada en Avda. Libertad N° 650 Comuna de Romeral, Curicó. La finalidad de este plan surgió debido a que la empresa comenzó a operar con equipos desde el 2004, incorporando con el tiempo nuevos equipos en la línea de proceso sin contar con una planificación sobre acciones preventivas necesarias que aseguren el funcionamiento de todos los equipos de la Línea de Proceso de Frutilla. Por ello, este trabajo se basó en la filosofía del Mantenimiento Centrado en la Confiabilidad (MCC), usando como metodología principal el Análisis de Modos de Falla, Efecto y Criticidad (FMECA). La metodología comenzó por reconocer las salas que componían la Línea de Proceso de Frutilla para identificar el universo de los equipos que conforman este proceso. Posteriormente se redujo el universo mediante una planilla de cálculo programada la cual arrojo el resultado de los equipos críticos, consecutivamente se elaboran y aplican diagramas jerárquicos (Sistema, Subsistema, Ítem, Componente) complementada con la información obtenida de catálogos, manuales de operaciones, experiencia de los mantenedores y operadores. Finalmente teniendo la información más depurada se desarrolló la metodología FMECA (Modo de falla, efecto y Criticidad) que permite con los resultados obtenidos elaborar el plan de mantenimiento preventivo para un periodo de doce meses, con distintas frecuencias. Para optimizar las acciones preventivas de mantenimiento se creó un sistema de tablas de filtros.Palabras claves: MCC, FMECA, Análisis de criticidad, Tablas de filtros./ABSTRAC: This paper presents the result obtained by design a maintenance plan for the critical equipment of the process line Strawberry (Strawberry Wash Room, Continuous Frozen Process Room and Calibration Room) of the Company APFRUT (Agricola Pinochet Fuenzalida Ltda), located in Avda. Libertad N° 650 Commune of Romeral, Curicó.The purpose of this plan arose because the company began operating with equipment since 2004 incoporating over time new equipments in the process line, without planning on preventive actions necessary to ensure the operation of all equipment of the process line Strawberry. Therefore, this work is based on the philosophy of Reliability Centered Maintenance (MCC), using as main metodology the Analysis of Failure Modes, Effect and Criticaly (FMECA). The methodology began to recognize the rooms that make up the line strawberry process to identify the universe of equipments. Then the universe was reduced by a spreadsheet programmed, that showed the results of the critical equipments. Consecutively, they developed and implement hierarchical diagrams (Sistem, Subsistem, Item, Component) sypplemented with information obtained from catalogs, operating manuals and experience of the miantainers y operators.Finally having the purest information, se desarrolla the methodology FMECA (Failure Mode, effect and criticality), that allows developed whith the results obtained, develop the preventive maintenance plan for a period of the twelve months on different frecuencies. To optimize preventive maintenance actions was created a system of filter tables.Keywords: MCC, FMECA, criticality analysis, filter table
