    Get PDF
[Abstract] In this communication we present the construction of a wind farm, WF, with 10 MW of nominal power. This WF will increase the quantity and quality of electricity in the area of Ambocas, Loja, Ecuador, strengthen a system with many voltage drops. The place chosen is ideal, because it is long from population, in a hill side near an existing road. Wind is persistent and has a constant orientation all along the year. The generated power will be connected with the electricity system in the Portovelo Substation, which is about 12 km from the WF site. We have calculated the expected electricity production all along the year taking into account all important data to simulate successfully the WF operation in real conditions. We have also modelled the interconnexion of the WF with the substation and its effect in the 69 kV bar. Finally, a brief economical analysis of the project gives an annual average profit higher than 3.5 USD million without taxes, while the inversion would be cancelled in less than 5 years of the 20 ones planned for the WF in full operation

[Abstract] Usage of not conventional and renewable energy sources (NCRE), as photovoltaic plants, to generate electricity and self-consumption of residential areas, shops and industry, is known as distributed generation. The present research aims to design a photovoltaic solar plant of 1.5 MW to be ground mounted. It will be interconnected with the bar of the substation of the local distributer of electricity in medium tension. The project is explained from its beginning, including site description of the terrain chosen, solar irradiation data, distribution and inclination of solar panels, electrical connexion among the panels, and inter-connection with the local distributer. The calculated production of the planned solar plant would be near 2.5 million of kWh, having taken into account the technical loss of energy in about 3.5 % including all loss sources. Finally, economic study has been carried out to obtain a return period for the investment of only two years, with an estimated profit, in the 20 years of the solar plant life, of about 15 million USD. In conclusion, it is possible technical and economically to invest in this solar plant, but it would be also desirable for ecological and social reasons

AbstractThe productive scenary in which science acts like theoretical reason and the technology like practical reason has disappeared; to conjugate the technoscience like rational theoretical-practice, a new form of living and of interpreting the social and environmental relationships is studied. Their direct consequences will be the origin of new conflicts. This will occur when never before conditions are seen by the global society. This condition emerges, on one hand, through the decisions legitimated through debate from a new rationale and intelligence that softens or acclimatizes in the social aspect those discussions. In as much as their intervention of power concerning life expressed by Potter who called it bioethics. On the other hand, the immediate legal decisions happened mainly politically with the responsibility of the rulers that their actions assure or they condemn the continuity of life. This, then, must be called Biopolítics. In this way, the action of the technoscience focuses on those bios, and becomes the new logic in world relationships

In order to quantify the external and internal load in a Spanish First Division U-19 football team, a prospective observational study was carried out for a microcycle during the 2018/2019 season. For a 5 training sessions and 1 match, session rate of perceived exertion (sRPE) was recorded and, with accelerometry (Polar Team Pro), were analysed studying distance, sprint, running speed, decelerations and accelerations by external load, and summated heart rate zone (SHRZ) and heart rate variability (HRV) by internal load. The independence of the variables was determined and possible relationships between variables and their causality were explored. External and internal load behave independently (F=282.05; p<.001; ES=.25). Significant relationships between external and internal measures were observed: SHRZ was related con to all external variables (Distance/min, R=.845, p=.034; Sprint; r=.928, p=.008; V4/min, r=.916, p=.01; HSR/min, r=.909, p=.012; Total DF/min, r=.872, p=.023; Total AF/min, r=.921, p=.009). RRMean, con Sprint, r=-.856, p=.03; Total DF/min, r=-.943, p=.017; Total AF/min, r=-.943, p=.017). Possible causality was determined between external and internal load (R2=1.000; p=.005) and between internal load and sRPE (R2=1.000; p=.008). CE variables present a possible co-occurrence with CI variable SHRZ. The subjective IQ variable sRPE presents a possible co-occurrence with the IQ objective variables relative to HRV (RR mean, SDNN, RMSSD) and session exposure time. The training sessions, in a semi-professional context of a soccer team, do not replicate the demands of competition, this being the highest requirement of the microcycle.

Financiado para publicación en acceso aberto: Universidade da Coruña/CISUG[Abstract] The application of ionic liquids in lithium ion batteries has increased in recent years in order to find new electrolytes that improve both performance and safety. The gathering of experimental data in order to understand the behaviour of these systems will help us design electrolytes that can be optimized for a specific objective. Data on electrolytes made up of a ternary mixture with an ionic liquid are missing in the literature. In this work, we provide new data on physical properties and refractive indexes for the ternary mixtures 1-methyl-1-propylpyrrolidinium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide ([MPPyr][TFSI]) + acetonitrile (AN) or γ butyrolactone (GBL) or dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) + lithium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide (LiTFSI) with different concentrations of salt, specifically, 10%, 15%, 20%, 30%, 35%. The measured properties were density (ρ), viscosity (η) and ionic conductivity (κ) in the temperature range of 278.15 to 358.15 K except for the mixtures with acetonitrile whose temperature range was 278.15 K to 328.15 K and the refractive indexes (nD) that were measured at a single temperature of 298.15 K. In general, the addition of salt in the binary mixtures provokes an increase of density and viscosity and therefore a decrease of ionic conductivity. It is worth mentioning that some of the studied systems showed values of ionic conductivity even better than those obtained for electrolyte systems based on carbonate. This work was supported by Ministerio de Economia y Competitividad (MINECO) and FEDER Program through the projects MAT2017–89239-C2–1-P, MAT2017–89239-C2–2-P and D2018–102679-T; Xunta de Galicia. [Abstract] In this paper we report classical Molecular Dynamics and ab initio Density Functional Theory simulations of the structure and single particle dynamics of ternary mixtures of a protic (ethylammonium nitrate, EAN) and an aprotic (1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate, EMIMBF4) ionic liquid, lithium salts with common anion and a molecular cosolvent, dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). The coordination numbers and electrical conductivities of the different mixtures have been calculated throughout the whole concentration range, and the differences between mixtures with the protic and aprotic ionic liquids were analyzed. In both cases, the evolution of the electrical conductivity is seen to correlate well with the formation of mixed tetrahedral solvation complexes of lithium cations with ionic liquid anions and cosolvent molecules. The differences in the solvation and charge transport mechanisms in hydrogen bonded mixtures and those based in the aprotic ionic liquid are analyzed. Our conclusions indicate that the major feature behind the electrical conductivity of the ternary mixtures is the composition of the solvation shell of the metal cations in the mixtures and the rate at which anions in it are replaced by DMSO molecules. The financial support of the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (Projects MAT2017-89239-C2-1-P, MAT2017-89239-C2-2-P) is gratefully acknowledged. [Abstract] In this work, viscosity, density and electrical conductivity of the ionic liquid, Ethylimidazolium Nitrate pure and doped with lithium nitrate salt were determined in order to check the properties’ improvement of the ionic liquid with the salt addition to consider these mixtures as potential electrolytes. Viscosity decreases exponentially as temperature increases, and increases with salt content, as expected. Density values decrease linearly as temperature increases and also increases with salt content. From electrical studies, an increase of conductivity with temperature and a decrease with salt concentration were observed. No significant differences between pure and doped sample were observed on Walden plots. This work was supported by Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness and FEDER Program through the projects MAT2014-57943-C3-1-P, MAT2014-57943-C3-3-P, MAT2017-89239-C2-1-P, as well as by Xunta de Galicia through GRC ED431C 2020/10 project and the Galician Network of Ionic Liquids (ReGaLIs) ED431D 2017/06.
