Hecke algebras with unequal parameters and Vogan's left cell invariants

In 1979, Vogan introduced a generalised tau\\tau -invariant for characterising primitive ideals in enveloping algebras. Via a known dictionary this translates to an invariant of left cells in the sense of Kazhdan and Lusztig. Although it is not a complete invariant, it is extremely useful in describing left cells. Here, we propose a general framework for defining such invariants which also applies to Hecke algebras with unequal parameters.Comment: 15 pages. arXiv admin note: substantial text overlap with arXiv:1405.573

On Kazhdan-Lusztig cells in type B

    No full text
32 pagesWe prove that, for any choice of parameters, the Kazhdan-Lusztig cells of a Weyl group of type BB are unions of combinatorial cells (defined using the domino insertion algorithm)

Short communication Fatty acid and cholesterol content, chemical composition and sensory evaluation of horsemeat

Abstract This study aimed to determine the fatty acid and chemical composition and cholesterol concentration of horsemeat, and to evaluate its taste acceptability by the Brazilian population. Horsemeat samples (M. longissimus dorsi) were obtained from a Paraná State slaughterhouse. The chemical composition revealed a low lipid (2.9%) and high protein content (22.5%). The concentrations of the nutritionally important fatty acids, arachidonic acid (AA, 20:4n-6) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA, 20:5n-3), were 2.97% and 0.43%, respectively. The polyunsaturated fatty acid/saturated fatty acid (PUFA/SFA) ratio was 0.97, which is within the recommended range. The cholesterol concentration of 40.5 mg/100 g is lower than that of other meat such as chicken, beef, mutton and pork. The sensory evaluation revealed excellent acceptability

An analogue of row removal for diagrammatic cherednik algebras

    Get PDF
We prove an analogue of James–Donkin row removal theorems for diagrammatic Cherednik algebras. This is one of the first results concerning the (graded) decomposition numbers of these algebras over fields of arbitrary characteristic. As a special case, our results yield a new reduction theorem for graded decomposition numbers and extension groups for cyclotomic q-Schur algebras
