    Strength is one of the most important characteristics of a weld joint. Mechanical properties of a weld metal can be improved in a variety of ways. One of the possibilities is to add a nanopowder to the weld metal. Authors of the paper suggest changing the production process of MMA welding electrodes via adding nanopowder Ti, Zr, Cs to electrode components through liquid glass. Theoretical research into the nanopowder influence on the effective ionization potential (Ueff) of welding arc discharge is also necessitated. These measures support arcing stability, improve strength of a weld joint, as the consequence, ensure quality enhancing of a weld joint and the structure on the whole

The comic is about typical problems of that time: crime, drugs, alcoholism, murders, bribes and more. Through the story full of difficult and dangerous situations the reader can affect the outcome. The most important target of the comic is to popularize Gamebook and tell about what life used to be like in the post-Soviet regions. The result is a 68 pages of color comic gamebook

    The article is devoted to the study of the formation of professional self-consciousness of a student - a future teacher, with an emphasis on the features of professional self-esteem as an element of professional self-consciousness. The data obtained in the article using the methods of studying professional self-esteem and professional self-knowledge allow us to pay attention to the complex procedure of entering the profession by students of a pedagogical university, passing through the crises of vocational training at 2 and 5 courses, 3rd and 4th year students are completely ready to study, work, accumulate knowledge and develop in a wider professional sense, they have a focus on self-development. The dynamics of development of students’ ideas about themselves at different stages of studying at university are shown, the emphasis is on the features of formation of professional self-esteem of  future teachers. The study opens up significant prospects for advanced training and improving the quality of students' training, taking into account the characteristics of the development of their professional self-consciousness

    Design of emulsion-based adjuvants for animal vaccines

ShiVaccination is one of the most essential steps in controlling and preventing economically important infectious diseases in livestock. Vaccines need to be effective at producing a high level of immune responses that protect the animal from future encounters with infectious agents. Additional requirements for veterinary vaccines include safety, inexpensive components, and feasibility for large-scale production. These factors make emulsions attractive vaccine adjuvants. The use of emulsions as adjuvants (substances that help to amplify the immune responses to the antigen) has been explored for decades. However, emulsions are commonly produced with expensive and energy-demanding devices which impact the price of the adjuvant, therefore, affecting the price of the vaccines. This study examined low-energy emulsification methods to meet the requirements for a simple and low-cost vaccine manufacture that avoided utilizing complicated equipment. Spontaneous emulsification (SE) and phase inversion composition (PIC) was explored to formulate stable emulsions with nanometer droplet sizes. The study on the impact of oil composition on the formation of emulsions produced by SE revealed that addition of medium-chain triglycerides into the oil phase is beneficial for droplet size reduction and stability of emulsions. Box-Behnken design (BBD) was used to develop mathematical relationships between formulation variables and droplet size, polydispersity, zeta potential, and stability of emulsions formulated via SE. The BBD allowed the study of a simultaneous effect of multiple variables and formulate emulsions with certain physical characteristics, an effect that suggested that there was a more effective approach in designing complex systems like emulsions. New adjuvants containing mixtures of oils and surfactants were developed to produce emulsions with nanoscale droplet diameters and multiple water-in-oil-in-water structures via the PIC approach. The strong antibody responses and the absence of injection site side effects were observed in animals that received emulsion vaccines with experimental adjuvants. Additionally, inexpensive food-grade saponin extract was examined for stabilizing and increasing immunostimulatory activity of oil-in-water emulsion-based adjuvants. The adjuvants demonstrated high immune responses in pigs after co-administration with a subunit protein antigen

    Graphene materials for lead (II) extraction: an equilibrium study

    The present paper describes a study on the adsorption of lead (II) ions on graphene materials obtained via exfoliation of a hydrolyzed expanded graphite intercalation compound. An equilibrium studies were performed implementing the empirical Freundlich and Langmuir isotherm models. It was found that all the isotherms are fitted well by those models, indicating the efficiency of the graphene materials as an adsorbent of heavy metals. The applicability of the two isotherms for sorption processes shows that both monolayer adsorption and heterogeneous energetic distribution of active sites on the adsorbent surface may take place. The maximum experimental lead (II) adsorption capacities of the materials under study – few-layered oxidized graphene suspension, multi-layered graphene paste, and few-layered graphene paste – were found to be 850, 230 and 170 mg/g, respectively. Due to the high sorption characteristics and unique physical and chemical properties of these materials, the adsorption technologies developed herein can act as good sustainable options for the future in heavy metal removal from industrial effluents

    Implementation of carbon nanomodification for sorption materials

    The article addresses the urgent task of improving the adsorption capacity and expanding the scope of application for commonly used industrial sorbents – activated carbons and synthetic zeolites. Among a variety of methods for modifying these sorbents, more attention is now being given to techniques that employ carbon nanomaterials. This is due to the unique properties of nanostructures – developed surface, availability of active functional groups, etc. In the present work, the classic materials – NWC coconut shell activated carbon and synthetic NaX zeolite – were chosen as initial sorbent samples to be modified. The authors developed a process flowsheet for the carbon nanomodification, which contains the following main stages: preparation of a catalytic mixture solution under given temperature conditions, impregnation of porous materials using the obtained solution, and drying and synthesis of carbon nanotubes via chemical vapor deposition. The proposed technological line consists of a reactor for synthesis of carbon nanotubes, the patented design of which will allow for simultaneously modifying in an effective way different types of materials. As a result, the layer of carbon nanostructures, the quality of which can be varied by changing the conditions of the modification procedure, is formed on the substrate surface

    Данная статья посвящена проблеме записи заимствованных слов гайрайго в японском языке. Проанализированы наиболее популярные учебники по японскому языку отечественных авторов. В ходе анализы было выявлено, что в учебниках приведены не все правила записи иностранных слов. Кроме того, в учебниках приведено недостаточное количество упражнений на закрепление навыка записи иностранных слов.This article is devoted to the problem of writing loanwords of gairaigo in Japanese. The most popular Japanese language textbooks by Russian authors are analyzed. During the analysis, it was revealed that the textbooks do not contain all the rules for writing loanwords. In addition, the textbooks provide an insufficient number of exercises to consolidate the skill of writing loanwords
