O presente trabalho de monografia pretende demonstrar, através dos conceitos de consumidor, fornecedor e relação de consumo, a incidência de responsabilidade objetiva da empresa GOOGLE Inc. pelos danos oriundos das condutas de usuários do site de relacionamentos ORKUT. Pretende demonstrar a figura de consumidor dos participantes do ambiente virtual projetado pelo ORKUT, ainda que de consumidor equiparado, e a posição de fornecedor da GOOGLE Inc., ambas de acordo com a legislação vigente no microssistema determinado pelo Código de Defesa do Consumidor, para possibilitar assim a verificação da existência de relação jurídica de consumo entre as partes, conferindo-se assim responsabilização objetiva da empresa administradora pelos danos ocasionados no uso do serviço de relacionamento ORKUT e o consequente dever de reparação ao usuário lesionado. Ambos os elementos foram afirmativamente verificados neste trabalho

Water diffusion in rough carbon nanotubes

We use molecular dynamics simulations to study the diffusion of water inside deformed carbon nanotubes with different degrees of deformation at 300 K. We found that the number of hydrogen bonds that water forms depends on nanotube topology, leading to enhancement or suppression of water diffusion. The simulation results reveal that more realistic nanotubes should be considered to understand the confined water diffusion behavior, at least for the narrowest nanotubes, when the interaction between water molecules and carbon atoms is relevant.Comment: 17 pages, 8 figure

Pigmented eccrine poroma on scalp simulating melanoma

Introduction: The eccrine poroma is a benign lesion, usually solitary and nodular, frequent in the palm and foot plant. Due to its rarity, the pigmented variant can easily be confused with melanoma. A clinical case of pigmented poroma on the scalp is reported; this is a location considered atypical, simulating malignant melanoma. Case Report: A 73-year-old male patient, phototype IV, reported the appearance of a painless lesion on the scalp for six months, associated with sporadic bleeding. On examination, it presented as a blackened nodule with an erythematous center of firm consistency, measuring approximately 1.5 cm in diameter. Dermatoscopy observed a predominant vascular pattern in blood cells. The main diagnostic hypothesis was melanoma, but the histopathological study concluded partially pigmented eccrine poroma. Discussion: Pigmented eccrine poroma is a rare tumor with unknown pathophysiology. It is considered a great simulator for clinically imitate several tumors, benign and malignant. In this clinical case, after dermatological examination and dermoscopic evaluation, the main diagnostic hypothesis was malignant melanoma. The few clinical cases published with a dermatoscopic study presented a similar history and diagnostic doubt, and the diagnosis was clarified only after histopathological evaluation. Conclusion: The evaluation of pigmented skin lesions must be done both clinically and with dermatoscopy, used as a tool that corroborates the diagnosis. The diagnostic hypothesis of eccrine poroma should be considered when pigmented lesions do not have melanocytic characteristics, and the diagnosis is confirmed only after histopathological evaluation

Optimization of hydrodynamic radial bearing surface with static load

A component-based framework for certification of components in a cloud of HPC services

HPC Shelfis a proposal of a cloud computing platform to provide component-oriented services for High Performance Computing (HPC) applications. This paper presents a Verification-as-a-Service (VaaS) framework for component certification onHPC Shelf. Certification is aimed at providing higher confidence that components of parallel computing systems ofHPC Shelfbehave as expected according to one or more requirements expressed in their contracts. To this end, new abstractions are introduced, starting with certifier components. They are designed to inspect other components and verify them for different types of functional, non-functional and behavioral requirements. Diffusion behavior of water confined in deformed carbon nanotubes

We use molecular dynamics simulations to study the diffusion of water inside deformed carbon nanotubes, with different degrees of eccentricity at 300K. We found a water structural transition between tubular-like to single-file for the (7,7) nanotubes associated with a change from a high to low mobility regimes. The water which in the undeformed (9,9) nanotubes is frozen, becomes liquid for the distortion above a certain threshold. These water diffusion enhancement (suppresion) is related to a reduction (increase) in the number of hydrogen bonds. This suggests that the shape of the nanotube is a particularly important ingredient when considering the dynamical and structural properties of confined water.Comment: 16 pages, 9 figure

Mobile Application for Gas Prices and Locations Inquiry in Manaus Amazonas

The original features the prototype of an application that allows drivers to locate and compare fuel prices in the city of Manaus. Regarding the applied methodology approaches, this research is quantitative, field, survey and applied. It uses data and statistics from national surveys with population indices. It also brings data from an online questionnaire to measure drivers\u27 opinions and information about the context of Manaus in relation to the stations. After analysis, it is noted that the application that helps drivers is not only necessary in a city with more and more vehicles as well accepted by potential users

Justiça Fiscal Como Mecanismo de Promoção do Desenvolvimento Nacional

The need for implementation of existing development project in our Constitution and can not be understood only in the political, economic or social, but in all of them all, is pressing. Analyzing this situation under Tax Law, its implementation exploits the realization of equality and fundamental freedoms of taxpayers, through the state, which has the regulatory power of the entire tax law. Thus, currently, the State has been responsible for designing and setting limits to a propellant and rampant pseudo development, rather than draw effective ways and methods for the taxpayer to exercise his right and duty to pay taxes in a fair and humane way, from the materialization of ability to pay. Tax reform is one of the main instrumental way of promoting tax justice for national development. Important thus examine the tax taxation as a way to consolidate one of the fundamental objectives of the Constitution, which is the national development, and in return the key role of the State as holder of all imposing competence in the tax area. A necessidade de concretização do projeto de desenvolvimento existente em nossa Carta Magna, não podendo ser entendido apenas no âmbito político, econômico ou social, mas sim no conjunto de todos eles, é premente. Analisando tal situação à luz do Direito Tributário, sua concretização instrumentaliza a efetivação das igualdades e liberdades fundamentais dos contribuintes, por meio do Estado, o qual possui o poder regulador de todo o ordenamento jurídico tributário. Assim, atualmente, o Estado tem sido responsável por delinear e estabelecer limites a um propulsor e desenfreado pseudodesenvolvimento, ao invés de traçar caminhos e métodos efetivos para que o contribuinte possa exercer o direito-dever de pagar tributos de forma justa e humanizada, a partir da materialização da capacidade contributiva. A reforma tributária é umas das principais vias instrumentais de promoção da justiça fiscal em prol do desenvolvimento nacional. Seasonality and nesting habits of the endemic social wasp Polistes ridleyi Kirby, 1890 in the Fernando de Noronha Archipelago, Northeast Brazil

We studied the seasonality and made notes about the nesting habits of the endemic social wasp Polistes ridleyi Kirby, 1890 of the Fernando de Noronha Archipelago. We collected 427 adult paper wasp P. ridleyi specimens for nine months using Malaise interception traps. The highest abundance of wasps was observed in October, November, and December, a fact most likely explained by the lowest precipitation levels on the island. We recorded 38 P. ridleyi nests. However, most of them were collected in a single Cynophalla flexuosa (L.) plant. This agglomeration may suggest multi-combs behavior, as reported for another species of Polistes spp
