Es constatable el hecho de la revitalización de las fiestas de Semana Santa. El análisis trata de buscar las claves de ese hecho, que es multidimensional y complejo. Se establece una hipótesis psico-sociológica. El ritual cumple una función social, referente a la pertenencia al grupo y a la lucha por el poder. Cumple además una función simbólica. En ambos aspectos se da un peligro de manipulación política y religiosa.There has been a marked revival of Easter festivities in Andalusia. This analysis examines the key points of this revival, which is multidimensional and complex. A psico-sociological hypothesis is established. The ritual fulfills a social function, particularly with respect to the importance of the group and the struggle for power. It also has has a symbolic function. 'The Lord' of the cemetery of Granada. A case-study of peripheral religiosity

Este estudio de caso examina los rituales que tienen lugar junto a la imagen de piedra de un Cristo, situada al lado de una tumba en el cementerio de la ciudad de Granada. Se analiza el tipo de personas que concurren y las motivaciones que les mueven, a fin de aclarar su significación antropológica. Se trata de una práctica marginal, desde el punto de vista religioso y social. Representa un fenómeno de sacralización, con una finalidad al mismo tiempo utilitaria y mágica.This case-study examines the rituals that take place next to a statue of Christ, located beside a tomb in the cemetery of the city of Granada. The type of people who go there and their motivations are analysed in order to clarify its anthropological significance. This is a marginal practice from a religious and social standpoint. Intrusion Detection With Unsupervised Techniques for Network Management Protocols Over Smart Grids

[Abstract] The present research work focuses on overcoming cybersecurity problems in the Smart Grid. Smart Grids must have feasible data capture and communications infrastructure to be able to manage the huge amounts of data coming from sensors. To ensure the proper operation of next-generation electricity grids, the captured data must be reliable and protected against vulnerabilities and possible attacks. The contribution of this paper to the state of the art lies in the identification of cyberattacks that produce anomalous behaviour in network management protocols. A novel neural projectionist technique (Beta Hebbian Learning, BHL) has been employed to get a general visual representation of the traffic of a network, making it possible to identify any abnormal behaviours and patterns, indicative of a cyberattack. This novel approach has been validated on 3 different datasets, demonstrating the ability of BHL to detect different types of attacks, more effectively than other state-of-the-art methods

Ethnografical note on Bolivians' Evangelical Christian Community in Purchil, Granada, Spain

El colectivo de migrantes de origen boliviano constituye la nacionalidad extranjera más numerosa en la localidad de Purchil, en la Vega granadina. Entre ellos, desde los últimos cinco años, se está creando una comunidad cristiana evangélica compuesta por personas de esta nacionalidad. En este proceso de gestación y consolidación en el contexto migratorio concreto de Purchil, confluyen varios factores: la propia experiencia migratoria de una veintena de miembros bolivianos, apoyados externamente por el propio entorno confesional del país de origen y por otras comunidades evangélicas de Granada. También participa la administración local de Purchil. La forma preferente de agrupamiento es en torno al espacio y el tiempo religiosos de la comunidad cristiana evangélica. En este sentido, las prácticas religiosas constituyen para sus miembros una estrategia de adaptación al nuevo contexto migratorio, en donde despliegan sus creencias del país de origen en interrelación con las homónimas del país de acogida.Migrants of Bolivian origin constitute the most numerous foreign national group in Purchil, in Granada's Vega. In the past five years, an Evangelical Christian community composed of people of this nationality has begun to form. Several factors inform the process of gestation and consolidation in this particular migratory context in Purchil: first, the personal migratory experiences of a score of Bolivian members of this community; second, external support from the same confessional environment in the country of origin, as well as from other evangelical communities in the province of Granada; and third, the involvement of Purchil's municipal government. The preferred form of gathering for this community is in the religious space and time of Evangelical Christianity; in this sense, religious practice constitutes for its members an adjustment strategy to their new migratory context, in which they reveal beliefs from their original country in interrelationship with the homonymic cases of the receptor country.Grupo de Investigación Antropología y Filosofía (SEJ-126). High-resolution hepatitis C virus subtyping using NS5B deep sequencing and phylogeny, an alternative to current methods

HepatitisCvirus(HCV)is classified into seven major genotypesand67 subtypes. Recent studies haveshownthat inHCVgenotype 1-infected patients, response rates to regimens containingdirect-acting antivirals(DAAs)are subtype dependent. Currently available genotypingmethods have limited subtyping accuracy.Wehave evaluated theperformanceof adeep-sequencing-basedHCVsubtyping assay, developed for the 454/GS-Junior platform, in comparisonwith thoseof two commercial assays (VersantHCVgenotype 2.0andAbbott Real-timeHCVGenotype II)andusingdirectNS5Bsequencing as a gold standard (direct sequencing), in 114 clinical specimenspreviously tested by first-generation hybridization assay (82 genotype 1and32 with uninterpretable results). Phylogenetic analysis of deep-sequencing reads matched subtype 1 callingbypopulation Sanger sequencing(69%1b,31%1a) in 81 specimensandidentified amixed-subtype infection (1b/3a/1a) in one sample. Similarly,amongthe 32previously indeterminate specimens, identical genotypeandsubtype results were obtained by directanddeep sequencing in all but four samples with dual infection. Continuando con el trabajo de los equipos docentes se ha realizado este libro en el curso 2011/2012 como resultado de la maduración de los dos años anteriores, en los que este equipo ha realizado el libro “Manual de elaboración de guías docentes adaptadas al EEES” en 2010, la participación en el I Congreso Internacional de Innovación Docente, en julio de 2011 y la realización de un capítulo del libro “Equipos docentes: una nueva apuesta en el EEES” en 2011. El reconocimiento de la calidad de las guías docentes realizadas por el profesorado de nuestra universidad, y enviadas a ANECA dentro del programa piloto MONITOR viene expresamente en el informe global de seguimiento recibido en noviembre de 2011 en el que textualmente comenta “Las guías docentes sólo se pueden calificar de excelentes”

La experiencia simbólica de la Semana Santa: funcionamiento y utilidad.

Frente a las experiencias racionales y técnicas que predominan y casi se han presentado como las únicas reales y útiles en la cultura, se analiza aquí un caso representativo en la cultura andaluza de otro tipo de experiencias que atañen a los individuos y a la sociedad y que forman parte de la cultura. Las llamamos simbólicas. Se afirma en el artículo su utilidad o su eficacia en la gestión de esos ámbitos de la vida-muerte, violencia-paz del individuo y de la sociedad ante los que lo racional-técnico claudica en la capacidad de respuesta total. Se presentan también los mecanismos que hacen posible esta experiencia

Aproximación antropológica a tres casos de religiosidad marginal en la provincia de Granada

Con el trasfondo teórico de Émile Durkheim y del materialismo cultural de Marvin Harris se presentan tres casos de religiosidad en la provincia de Granada sobre los que vengo trabajando y sobre los que ya he publicado dos artículos. Estos tres casos me parecen representativos de otros muchos fenómenos de religiosidad católica en que se busca ante todo la solución a los problemas vitales de primera necesidad, con un funcionamiento eminentemente mágico-religioso y en el que el grupo de personas devotas presentan unas características socio-demográficas comunes y que consistirían en estar situadas en las capas más bajas o en los bordes o márgenes de las esferas económicas, sociales y racionales
