Utilizou-se como abordagem metodológica o estudo de caso e a análise de conteúdo, explorando-se conceitos sobre o conselho escolar, com enfoque às suas funções e composição bem como ao conceito de gestão escolar democrática e participativa no ambiente escolar. Da pesquisa, verificou-se que muitos conselheiros limitavam suas atribuições junto ao Conselho Escolar apenas no que tange à dimensão financeira ou burocrática o que compromete sobremaneira a gestão escolar democrática e participativa e incita reflexões para o fato de que não há como se falar de abordagem participativa de gestão isentando a responsabilidade de todos nas ações da instituição e que para que isso ocorra é necessário um discurso articulado com a prática e o exemplo de atitude democrátic

    Composed by three chapters, this dissertation addresses the Pedagogy of Alternation as a methodological proposal for the field population with the aim of clarifying its theoretical and methodological frameworks and its approach to the educational learning trends in light of the contribution of educational thinkers. Characterized as literature, it is a study about Field Education emphasizing its historical context and some conceptual elements as well as the emergence of the Pedagogy of Alternation in the world and in brazilian context, allowing to realize the intrinsic relationship that is with this methodological approach to the field education. Also, it makes a theoretical and conceptual overview of the pillars and instruments that make up the pedagogical practice of this educational proposal evidencing the comprehensive training, scientific and professional guidance through the dialogue of knowledge from family, social and educational context in an interdisciplinary way. It was also studied the contribution of educational thinkers to the Pedagogy of Alternation in order to verify this proposed approach education with educational pedagogical trends which enabled the realization that its theoretical and methodological foundations rely on different trends teaching and in that context , there is a vast field of studies to show and (re)create.Composta por três capítulos, a presente dissertação aborda a Pedagogia da Alternância como proposta metodológica destinada à população do campo com o objetivo de apresentar os seus referenciais teóricos e metodológicos e sua aproximação com tendências pedagógicas educacionais à luz da contribuição de pensadores da educação. Caracterizando-se como pesquisa bibliográfica, faz-se um estudo acerca da Educação do Campo enfatizando-se o contexto histórico e alguns elementos conceituais, bem como o surgimento da Pedagogia da Alternância no contexto mundial e brasileiro, permitindo-se perceber as relações intrínsecas que há nessa proposta metodológica com a educação do campo. Faz-se, também, um apanhado teórico-conceitual dos pilares e instrumentos que compõem a prática pedagógica desta proposta educacional evidenciando- se a formação integral, técnico/científica e orientação profissional através do diálogo de saberes a partir do contexto familiar, social e educativo de forma interdisciplinar. Estudou-se, também, a contribuição de pensadores da educação à Pedagogia da Alternância com o intuito de se verificar a aproximação dessa proposta de educação com as tendências pedagógicas educacionais o que permitiu a compreensão de que seus fundamentos teóricos e metodológicos se apoiam em diferentes tendências pedagógicas e que, nesse contexto, há um vasto campo de estudos para se mostrar e (re)criar

    Maternal obesity in mice exacerbates the allergic inflammatory response in the airways of male offspring

    It was previously demonstrated that non-allergen-sensitized rodents born to mothers exposed to a high-fat diet (HFD) spontaneously develop lower respiratory compliance and higher respiratory resistance. In the present study, we sought to determine if mice born to mothers consuming HFD would exhibit changes in inflammatory response and lung remodeling when subjected to ovalbumin (OVA) sensitization/challenge in adult life. Mice born to dams consuming either HFD or standard chow had increased bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) levels of IL-1 beta, IL-4, IL-5, IL-10, IL-13, TNF-alpha and TGF-beta 1 after challenge with OVA. IL-4, IL-13, TNF-alpha and TGF-beta 1 levels were further increased in the offspring of HFD-fed mothers. Mice born to obese dams also had exacerbated values of leukocyte infiltration in lung parenchyma, eosinophil and neutrophil counts in BAL, mucus overproduction and collagen deposition. The programming induced by maternal obesity was accompanied by increased expression of miR-155 in peripheral-blood mononuclear cells and reduced miR-133b in trachea and lung tissue in adult life. Altogether, the present data support the unprecedented notion that the progeny of obese mice display exacerbated responses to sensitization/challenge with OVA, leading to the intensification of the morphological changes of lung remodeling.     Evaluating the effectiveness of a training program that builds teachers' capability to identify and appropriately refer middle and high school students with mental health problems in Brazil: an exploratory study

    Background: in Brazil, like many countries, there has been a failure to identify mental health problems (MHP) in young people and refer them to appropriate care and support. the school environment provides an ideal setting to do this. Therefore, effective programs need to be developed to train teachers to identify and appropriately refer children with possible MHP. We aimed to evaluate teachers' ability to identify and appropriately refer students with possible MHP, and the effectiveness of a psychoeducational strategy to build teachers' capability in this area.Methods: To meet the first objective, we conducted a case-control study using a student sample. To meet the second, we employed longitudinal design with repeated measures before and after introducing the psychoeducational strategy using a teacher sample. in the case control study, the Youth Self-Report was used to investigate internalizing and externalizing problems. Before training, teachers selected 26 students who they thought were likely to have MHP. Twenty-six non-selected students acted as controls and were matched by gender, age and grade. the underlying principle was that if teachers could identify abnormal behaviors among their actual students, those with some MHP would likely be among the case group and those without among the control group. in the longitudinal study, 32 teachers were asked to evaluate six vignettes that highlighted behaviors indicating a high risk for psychosis, depression, conduct disorder, hyperactivity, mania, and normal adolescent behavior. We calculated the rates of correct answers for identifying the existence of some MHP and the need for referral before and after training; teachers were not asked to identify the individual conditions.Results: Teachers were already able to identify the most symptomatic students, who had both internalizing and externalizing problems, as possibly having MHP, but teachers had difficulty in identifying students with internalizing problems alone.     Integridade superficial resultante de diferentes processos de usinagem

    Among the factors that influence the performance of mechanical components, stand the material and surface conditions. During the machining process, the surface generated can be altered, which have influence on the properties of the material. Due to the variety of machining processes, it is necessary to evaluate the different processes in order to select the most appropriate for each manufacturing operation. Thus, the goal of this work was to evaluate the influence of different processes in the integrity of the generated surface using two conventional processes: drilling and milling, and one unconventional: electrical discharge machining (EDM). In drilling and milling tests were used carbide tools, and in EDM was used a copper electrode. The machined material was ABNT 1045 steel. The results showed bigger changes in the surface generated by the EDM process than those caused by the conventional processes. Key words: drilling, milling, EDM, properties of materials, process selection.Dentre os fatores que exercem influência sobre o desempenho dos componentes mecânicos, destacam-se o material utilizado e as condições da superfície. Durante o processo de usinagem, a superfície gerada pode sofrer alterações, as quais têm influência sobre as propriedades do material. Devido à variedade de processos de usinagem, é fundamental a avaliação dos diferentes processos, de modo a selecionar o mais adequado para cada operação de fabricação. Desta forma, o objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a influência de diferentes processos sobre a integridade da superfície gerada, utilizando dois processos convencionais: furação e fresamento, e um não-convencional: a eletroerosão. Na realização dos ensaios de furação e fresamento foram utilizadas ferramentas inteiriças de metalduro, e na usinagem por eletroerosão foi utilizado um eletrodo de cobre. O material usinado foi o aço ABNT 1045. Os resultados encontrados demonstraram maiores alterações na superfície gerada pelo processo de eletroerosão do que as provocadas pelos processos convencionais.
