Multilevel Clustering Fault Model for IC Manufacture

A hierarchical approach to the construction of compound distributions for process-induced faults in IC manufacture is proposed. Within this framework, the negative binomial distribution is treated as level-1 models. The hierarchical approach to fault distribution offers an integrated picture of how fault density varies from region to region within a wafer, from wafer to wafer within a batch, and so on. A theory of compound-distribution hierarchies is developed by means of generating functions. A study of correlations, which naturally appears in microelectronics due to the batch character of IC manufacture, is proposed. Taking these correlations into account is of significant importance for developing procedures for statistical quality control in IC manufacture. With respect to applications, hierarchies of yield means and yield probability-density functions are considered.Comment: 10 pages, the International Conference "Micro- and Nanoelectronics- 2003" (ICMNE-2003),Zvenigorod, Moscow district, Russia, October 6-10, 200

The results of studies of the current state of freshwater ecosystems and their biotic components in the western part of the Yamal Peninsula are presented in the article. Based on the evaluation of the structure of communities of phytoplankton, zooplankton, benthos, and whitefishes, the range of problems related to the protection of biological resources during the development of the Kruzenshternskoye gas field is defined. The data on species composition and quantitative indicators of hydrobionts of different types of waterbodies and watercourses in the lower reaches of the Mordyyakha and Naduyyakha Rivers basins is the basis for environmental monitoring of water objects during development and exploitation of the Kruzenshternskoye gas field. Estimation of the fish fauna state and their food base in the territory of the Kruzenshternskoye GCF according to the monitoring program is present. The river delta zones are the most important feeding areas of the salmonid and whitefishes valuable fish species in the territory of Kruzenshternskoye GCF. In cases where water bodies and watercourses are not completely demolished for the construction of GCF facilities, changes of quantitative and qualitative characteristics of communities of hydrobionts after the end of operations are reversible. River ecosystems are restored within a shorter period of time in comparison to lacustrine ones. Proposals for the protection of fisheries resources and monitoring of aquatic ecosystems on the basis of comprehensive studies are reported. Recommendations on reducing the anthropogenic impact on aquatic ecosystems in the development period are present. The results of the investigation were used in the development of the environmental protection part of the Kruzenshternskoye deposit project. Anthropogenic disturbances present now on the gas deposit territory of Kruzenshternskoye does not influence the aquatic ecosystems. The article have been prepared within the Project of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences № 12-P-47-2013 and "The Arctic" Project of the Presidium of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences № 12-4-3-012

THE APTIAN STRATIGRAPHY OF SOUTHERN TUARKYR (NW TURKMENISTAN, CENTRAL ASIA)

The ammonite successions of Turkmenistan, particularly those of the Greater Balkhan and Tuarkyr areas, are considered references for the Aptian Stage. Six sections across the uppermost Barremian - basal Upper Aptian interval were studied in the Tuarkyr desert in October 1997,and ammonites and bivalves were collected. Data are compared with those from a section sampled by a Russian team in 1959. The stratigraphic distribution of the faunas in the sections is discontinuous, as the fossiliferous levels intercalate with terrigenous sediments. The ammonite faunas, at least in the intervals sampled, show low diversity and are dominated by the genus Deshayesites in the lower Aptian and the genus Epicheloniceras, associated with the less common Caspianites, in the basal upper Aptian. The Turkmenistan sections contain species present also in the Caucasus, England, Germany, France and Switzerland, indicating that the Turkmenian faunas reflect impoverishement rather than geographic isolation. The chronologic equivalence between the Turkmenian Epicheloniceras subnodosocostatum Zone and the Epicheloniceras martinioides Zone in England seems questionable because the Epicheloniceras-bearing beds of the Tuarkyr correspond to the upper part of the E. martinioides Zone, i. e. the Epicheloniceras buxtorfi Subzone. The bivalve fauna consists mainly of pteriids, Exogyrinae oysters and trigoniids. These groups undoubtedly indicate a very shallow, fairly warm and fully marine environment, typical of the Tethyan Lower Cretaceous. The heterodonts are too rare to give further bathymetric indications. None of the taxa indicate deep burrowing and all are assumed to be ?? littoral. The bivalve fauna shows strong affinities with that of the English Lower Greensand.&nbsp

Purpose – The purpose of the article is to develop recommendations for overcoming threats and effective use of possibilities of development of small innovational enterprise in the process of its management under the conditions of global competition. Design/methodology/approach – The authors use the method of systemic and problem analysis, opposite tack, method of SWOT-analysis, and method of economic modeling. Findings – The authors determine the place and role of small innovational entrepreneurship in development of global markets and conduct SWOT-analysis of management of small innovational enterprise under the conditions of global competition. As a result of the research, the authors come to the conclusion that globalization of international markets is an objective process that takes place regardless of wish and realization of its importance and consequences by entrepreneurship. That’s why small innovational business would be under the threat of disappearance without adequate reaction to change of global markets. Originality/value – In order to restructure the process of management of small innovational enterprise for the conditions of global competition, this work offers proprietary recommendations for increase of effectiveness of management of small innovational enterprise under the conditions of global competition and develop the authors’ model of increase of effectiveness of management of small innovational enterprise under the conditions of global competition.peer-reviewe

Structural and Functional Organization of Photosynthetic Apparatus in Wild Halophites

The structural and molecular parameters of photosynthetic apparatus in plants with different strategies for the accumulation of salts were investigated. The objects of the study were euhalophytes (Salicornia perennans, Suaeda salsa, Halocnemum strobilaceum), a crynohalophyte (Limonium gmelinii) and a glycohalophyte (Artemisia santonica). The euhalophytes S. perennans and S. salsa belong to plants of the halosucculent type, while the other three species represent the xerophilic type. Larger cells with a great number of chloroplasts, a high content of membrane glycerolipids and unsaturated C18:3 fatty acid and smaller pigment and light-harvesting complexes characterize the features of euhalophytes with a succulent leaf type. Therefore, thefeatures of the halophyte photosynthetic apparatus structure are closely related to its functional indicators and are defined by a strategy in both the accumulation of salts and the method of water regime regulation. Keywords: chlorophyll, lipids and fatty acids, photosynthetic apparatus, ultrastructure of chloroplast

Search for the Radiative Capture d+d->^4He+\gamma Reaction from the dd\mu Muonic Molecule State

A search for the muon catalyzed fusion reaction dd --> ^4He +\gamma in the dd\mu muonic molecule was performed using the experimental \mu CF installation TRITON and NaI(Tl) detectors for \gamma-quanta. The high pressure target filled with deuterium at temperatures from 85 K to 800 K was exposed to the negative muon beam of the JINR phasotron to detect \gamma-quanta with energy 23.8 MeV. The first experimental estimation for the yield of the radiative deuteron capture from the dd\mu state J=1 was obtained at the level n_{\gamma}\leq 2\times 10^{-5} per one fusion.Comment: 9 pages, 3 Postscript figures, submitted to Phys. Cluster observations of the midaltitude cusp under strong northward interplanetary magnetic field

We report on a multispacecraft cusp observation lasting more than 100 min. We determine the cusp boundary motion and reveal the effect on the cusp size of the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) changing from southward to northward. The cusp shrinks at the beginning of the IMF rotation and it reexpands at the rate of 0.40° invariant latitude per hour under stable northward IMF. On the basis of plasma signatures inside the cusp, such as counterstreaming electrons with balanced fluxes, we propose that pulsed dual lobe reconnection operates during the time of interest. SC1 and SC4 observations suggest a long-term regular periodicity of the pulsed dual reconnection, which we estimate to be ~1–5 min. Further, the distances from the spacecraft to the reconnection site are estimated on the basis of observations from three satellites. The distance determined using SC1 and SC4 observations is ~15 RE and that determined from SC3 data is ~8 RE. The large-scale speed of the reconnection site sunward motion is ~16 km s-1. We observe also a fast motion of the reconnection site by SC1, which provides new information about the transitional phase after the IMF rotation. Finally, a statistical study of the dependency of plasma convection inside the cusp on the IMF clock angle is performed. The relationship between the cusp stagnation, the dual lobe reconnection process, and the IMF clock angle is discussed
