A test for serial independence of regression errors is proposed that is consistent in the direction ofserial dependence alternatives of first order. The test statistic is a function of aHoeffding-Blum-Kiefer-Rosenblatt type of empirical process, based on residuals. On formal verification of arithmetic-based cryptographic primitives

Cryptographic primitives are fundamental for information security: they are used as basic components for cryptographic protocols or public-key cryptosystems. In many cases, their security proofs consist in showing that they are reducible to computationally hard problems. Those reductions can be subtle and tedious, and thus not easily checkable. On top of the proof assistant Coq, we had implemented in previous work a toolbox for writing and checking game-based security proofs of cryptographic primitives. In this paper we describe its extension with number-theoretic capabilities so that it is now possible to write and check arithmetic-based cryptographic primitives in our toolbox. We illustrate our work by machine checking the game-based proofs of unpredictability of the pseudo-random bit generator of Blum, Blum and Shub, and semantic security of the public-key cryptographic scheme of Goldwasser and Micali.Comment: 13 page

Implementasi Blum-blum-shub Dan Chaotic Function Untuk Modifikasi Key Generating Pada Aes

Salah satu kriptografi yang masih tangguh menurut National Insitute of Standard and Technology (NIST) yakni Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). AES bekerja secara block cipher menyebabkan diperlukan waktu pemrosesan cukup tinggi. Terlebih, data yang akan diproses pada zaman sekarang membutuhkan space memory yang besar. Sehingga data yang akan diproses juga membutuhkan tambahan waktu. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan suatu penambahan modifikasi terhadap metode kriptografi dengan memasangkan metode Chaotic Function pada saat memproses pembangkitan kunci yang dihasilkan agar terjadi penurunan kebutuhan waktu proses saat mengenkripsi atau mendekripsi. Selain itu, juga ditambahkan fungsi pembangkit bilangan acak yang bekerja saat memproses pembangkitan kunci dengan metode random number Blum-Blum-Shub. Dari hasil penelitian, diperoleh hasil minimalisasi waktu pemrosesan sebesar 20.70% lebih cepat ketika dilakukan penambahan modifikasi dibandingkan tanpa modifikasi. Serta memory USAge yang dibutuhkan saat proses kriptografi tetap sama yakni sebesar 15 kilo bytes

A companion for the Kiefer--Wolfowitz--Blum stochastic approximation algorithm

A stochastic algorithm for the recursive approximation of the location $\theta$ of a maximum of a regression function was introduced by Kiefer and Wolfowitz [Ann. Math. Statist. 23 (1952) 462--466] in the univariate framework, and by Blum [Ann. Math. Statist. 25 (1954) 737--744] in the multivariate case. The aim of this paper is to provide a companion algorithm to the Kiefer--Wolfowitz--Blum algorithm, which allows one to simultaneously recursively approximate the size $\mu$ of the maximum of the regression function. A precise study of the joint weak convergence rate of both algorithms is given; it turns out that, unlike the location of the maximum, the size of the maximum can be approximated by an algorithm which converges at the parametric rate.
