Este material reúne las primeras cinco videoconferencias realizadas en el Marco de Cátedra Abierta: Ciclo de Videoconferencias llevadas a cabo por el Observatorio Argentino de Violencia en las Escuelas. Se exponen las videoconferencias de Alejandro Isla, Silvia Bleichmar, Phillippe Meirieu, Mario Goldenberg y Marta García Costoya quienes desde la antropología, el psicoanálisis, la pedagogía y la docencia aportan elementos para pensar la “violencia” en toda la complejidad que la abarca

Conferencia sobre estructuración psíquica

Face to a situation which has produced the fall of the omnipotent position which attempted to solve all suffering through psychoanalysis, the author, from her working perspective, proposes to advance in the idea of recovering theoretical-clinical fertility of psychoanalysis with a view to the XXIst century, in a movement of passage which might be considered as that of the passage “from alchemy to chemistry”. Correspondingly, there must be increasing awareness of the fact that the Freudianoeuvre is inevitably full of contradiction, and that in it remains an anlage of the thought of the time in which it was gestated, with both its good and bad judgments on the one hand, and also most precious contents transcending their original scientific andideological formations. A recovery of psychic structuring times as non-linear, rather as movement fated toaprès coup in the process of the topographic constitution, leaves open the question regarding a genesis which cannot be thought of as a linear course or radical ahistoricism. In the interplay opened between the initial oedipal structure, where each ofthe initial protagonists father and mother is pierced by repression and is a subject of the unconscious, it is necessary to redefine the father’s function in the terms posed some time ago already by structuralism. Thus, the mother’s function must be broken downinto its pulsating and narcissising character, and that of the father redefined in its structuring and lethal aspects: paternal rivalry, an essential constitutive element of the prohibition, cannot be avoided in the categorical imperative which installs castration,but which always preserves the hypothetical dimension due to the fact the father is pierced  by his own unconscious phantasms.These are not simply theoretical matters: they also have clinical con-sequences, as when the unconscious is construed as funded by primal repression and articulated in its relationships with the secondary psychic mechanisms, the question. When is it possibleto analyze? That acquires a specific metapsychological dimension for the analysis of both children and adults. The psychic constitution mechanisms obtain a dynamics, proper to them during the period of subjective constitution, through the difference posed between initial oedipal structure and metabolical and singular modes. And it is from this singularity that the curing process is determined. From it, likewise, derives the definition of the modes psychoanalysis operates in extension: interventions whichattempt to undo pathogenic knots produced during infancy and which also include clinical actions in the interventions articulating the child’s intersubjective structural relationships.The analyst’s capacity lies in the metapsychological fencing of these variables, both those pertaining to infancy and to specific moments in clinical work with adults, which require theoretical and clinical redefinition. This implies an approach encouraging us towards more and more subtle elaborations of our theoretical instruments impinging on practice, and even to update our working hypotheses Frente a una situación en la cual cierta desilusión se produce ante la caída de la posición omnipotente que pretendía resolver todos los sufrimientos mediante el psicoanálisis, la autora propone, desde su perspectiva de trabajo, avanzar en la idea de que la fecundidad teórico-clínica del psicoanálisis tiene que ser recuperada con vistas a enfrentarse al siglo XXI, en un movimiento de pasaje que podría ser considerado como "de la alquimia a la química". Cobrando conciencia, a la vez, de que la obra freudiana, como obra de partida, está inevitablemente llena de contradicciones, y que coexisten en ella los remanentes del pensamiento del tiempo en el cual se gestó, con sus aciertos y errores, por un lado, y también contenidos valiosísimos que trascienden las formaciones científicas e ideológicas que le dieron origen. La recuperación de los tiempos de estructuración psíquica como no lineales, sino como movimientos destinados al après coup en el proceso de constitución de la tópica, deja abierta la cuestión de una génesis que no puede ser pensada como evolución lineal pero tampoco como ahistoricismo radical. En el juego que se abre entre la estructura de partida, edípica, en la cual cada uno de los integrantes protagónicos de inicio padre y madre está atravesado por la represión y es sujeto de inconsciente, es necesario redefinir la función del padre en los términos en que ha sido planteado desde hace ya tiempo por el estructuralismo. Así como la función materna debe ser desdoblada en su carácter de pulsante y narcisizante, la función paterna debe ser redefinida en sus aspectos estructurantes y mortíferos: la rivalidad paterna, elemento constitutivo esencial de la prohibición, no puede ser eludida en el imperativo categórico que instaura la castración, pero que guarda siempre la dimensión hipotética en razón del atravesamiento del padre por sus propios fantasmas inconscientes. Cuestiones no sólo teóricas sino de consecuencias clínicas, ya que, concebido el inconsciente como fundado por la represión originaria y articulado en sus relaciones con los sistemas psíquicos secundarios, la pregunta ¿cuándo es posible analizar?, cobra una dimensión metapsicológica precisa, tanto para el análisis de niños como para el de adultos. Es en la diferencia que se plantea entre la estructura edípica de partida y los modos metabólicos y singulares en los cuales se juega la historia, que los procesos de constitución psíquica toman una dinámica propia en los tiempos de la constitución subjetiva. Y es esta singularidad la que determina el proceso de la cura. De ella deriva también la definición de los modos de operar del psicoanálisis en extensión: intervenciones que intentan el desanudamiento de los abrochamientos patógenos que se producen en la infancia y que incluyen también acciones clínicas en las intersecciones articulado-ras de las relaciones intersubjetivas estructurales del niño. La habilidad del analista reside en el cercamiento metapsicológico de estas variables, tanto en la infancia como en aquellos momentos particulares de la clínica de adultos que requieren redefinición teórica y clínica. Esto implica una aproximación que nos impulsa a elaboraciones cada vez más finas de nuestro instrumental teórico, de consecuencias prácticas, e incluso a una puesta al día de nuestras hipótesis de trabajo.

Jizz and the joy of pattern recognition:virtuosity, discipline and the agency of insight in UK naturalists’ arts of seeing

Approaches to visual skilling from anthropology and STS have tended to highlight the forces of discipline and control in understanding how shared visual accounts of the world are created in the face of potential differences brought about by multi-sensorial perception. Drawing upon a range of observational and interview material from an immersion in naturalist training and biological recording activities between 2003 and 2009, I focus upon jizz, a distinct form of gestalt perception much coveted by naturalist communities in the UK. Jizz is described as a tacit and embodied way of seeing that instantaneously reveals the identity of a species, relying upon but simultaneously suspending the arduous and meticulous study of an organism’s diagnostic characteristics. I explore the potential and limitations of jizz to allow for both visual precision and an enchanted and varied form of encounter with nature. In so doing, I explore how the specific characteristics of wild, intangible and irreverent virtuoso performance work closely together with disciplining taxonomic standards. As such, discipline and irreverence work together, are mutually enabling, and allow for an accommodation rather than a segregation of potential difference brought about by perceptual variety

La depresión en la mujer.

Se presentan datos sobre la prevalencia de la depresión en la mujer y una recopilación de las estadísticas disponibles en España. Se revisan trabajos de actualización sobre los factores predisponentes de orden psicosocial. Para explicar la morbilidad diferencial se propone el reconocimiento y estudio de la superposición existente entre los factores dinámicos que conducen a la depresión y las condiciones de estructuración de la subjetividad femenina.

Concomitant inhibition of PPARγ and mTORC1 induces the differentiation of human monocytes into highly immunogenic dendritic cells.

Monocytes can differentiate into macrophages (Mo-Macs) or dendritic cells (Mo-DCs). The cytokine granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) induces the differentiation of monocytes into Mo-Macs, while the combination of GM-CSF/interleukin (IL)-4 is widely used to generate Mo-DCs for clinical applications and to study human DC biology. Here, we report that pharmacological inhibition of the nuclear receptor peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARγ) in the presence of GM-CSF and the absence of IL-4 induces monocyte differentiation into Mo-DCs. Remarkably, we find that simultaneous inhibition of PPARγ and the nutrient sensor mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1) induces the differentiation of Mo-DCs with stronger phenotypic stability, superior immunogenicity, and a transcriptional profile characterized by a strong type I interferon (IFN) signature, a lower expression of a large set of tolerogenic genes, and the differential expression of several transcription factors compared with GM-CSF/IL-4 Mo-DCs. Our findings uncover a pathway that tailors Mo-DC differentiation with potential implications in the fields of DC vaccination and cancer immunotherapy
