Open Access publishing: the continuing development of the Journal of Nutritional Science

The Journal of Nutritional Science (JNS) was established in the early part of this decade as an initiative between the Nutrition Society and Cambridge University Press(1), with the first volume appearing in 2012. The founding Editor-in-Chief, Professor Philip Calder, was at the time also Editor-in-Chief of the British Journal of Nutrition (BJN). This reflected the original concept that the JNS would be closely allied to the BJN, with the same Editor-in-Chief and a common Editorial Board. The new journal was in part intended to provide a vehicle for articles that while scientifically sound were not able to be published by the BJN, because of the pressures on space in the Society’s flagship journal. A close association between the JNS and the BJN continued when Professor Graham Burdge took over as Editor-in-Chief of both journals in 2013

The aims of this research were: (1) to adjust the asessment of recent technology service tariff; (2) to assess the loading of recent cost of good manufactured to be exact cost of good manufactured; and (3) to determine the profit different. The research results shew that: (1) the application of technology service  tariff  stoneware BJN-4 according to Govermental Regulation Number 6 year 2015 about Rp 1.750,00 each kg; (2) The technology service tariff stoneware BJN-4 according to Govermental Regulation Number 6 year 2015 resulted cost of good manufactured about Rp 1.346,10 each kg; and (3) the technology service tariff stoneware BJN-4 influenced of profitability. The technology service tariff stoneware BJN-4 according to Govermental Regulation Number 6 year 2015 resulted gross profit, operating profit, and net profit about Rp 403,90 each kg, Rp 201,99 each kg, and 161,60 each kg. The gross profit, operating profit, and net profit of technology service  stoneware BJN-4 lower about Rp 587,61 each kg, Rp 293,77 each kg, and Rp 235,01 each kg than its theoretically. The theoretical gross profit, operating profit, and net profit were Rp 991,51 each kg, 495,76 each kg, and Rp 396,61 each kg

Automated verification of shape and size properties via separation logic.

Despite their popularity and importance, pointer-based programs remain a major challenge for program verification. In this paper, we propose an automated verification system that is concise, precise and expressive for ensuring the safety of pointer-based programs. Our approach uses user-definable shape predicates to allow programmers to describe a wide range of data structures with their associated size properties. To support automatic verification, we design a new entailment checking procedure that can handle well-founded inductive predicates using unfold/fold reasoning. We have proven the soundness and termination of our verification system, and have built a prototype system

Interconversion of Prony series for relaxation and creep

Various algorithms have been proposed to solve the interconversion equation of linear viscoelasticity when Prony series are used for the relaxation and creep moduli, G(t) and J(t). With respect to a Prony series for G(t), the key step in recovering the corresponding Prony series for J(t) is the determination of the coefficients {jk} of terms in J(t). Here, the need to solve a poorly conditioned matrix equation for the {jk} is circumvented by deriving elementary and easily evaluated analytic formulae for the {jk} in terms of the derivative dG(s)/ds of the Laplace transform G(s) of G(t)

We give a characterization of the extremal sequences for the Bellman function of the dyadic maximal operator. In fact we prove that they behave approximately like eigenfunctions of this operator for a specific eigenvalue.Comment: 20 page
