A Novel CAD Tool for Electric Educational Diagrams
Computer-aided design (CAD) is a technological revolution, very powerful and with
large applicability to problem solving. It is essential in many different disciplines ranging from
architecture to education, medicine, physics, or gaming. In this work, we propose a novel CAD
tool, called CADDi, to assist in the design of electric diagrams in the educational context. We are
applying the theory of formal languages to create WDLang, an easy-to-use, highly expressive,
unequivocal, and correct programming language for designing electric circuits. This programming
language is the cornerstone of CADDi, which automatically generates the equivalent ladder diagram
(explains the circuit operation) to the programmed circuit, offering additional features that allow
analysis of its functionality in an interactive way. It also offers a graphical interface to directly
design ladder diagrams, or to modify the automatically generated ones. The existing electrical
CAD tools are either very simple, e.g., for creating good-looking diagrams with no functionality,
or too complex, for professional systems design. CADDi is extremely useful for learning purposes.
It assists users on how to generate ladder diagrams, and on understanding the behavior of electrical
circuits. Additionally, it serves as an assessment tool for self-evaluation in the translation from
wiring diagrams to ladder ones. In order to make CADDi highly accessible, it was implemented as a

ICT management in Latin America educational institutions. Between policies and innovation
[EN] The use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in
educational contexts has focused its greatest efforts on the acquisition and
use of technology. This makes necessary a conceptual and methodological
redesign of its use, one that integrates all the members of the organization
and generate permanent changes in the culture of the organization (Salinas,
2005). The management of educational institutions is crucial to normalize
experiences and provide references that can be integrated into environmental
conditions. Despite this, educational management has been relegated to the
studies of innovation in education supported by technology, with little
systematized information in this regard (Sunkel, Trucco, & Espejo, 2013).
The present work uses bibliographic techniques to analyze the trends that
have been followed in Latin America in terms of educational management for
the adoption of ICT. The influence of public policy on the promotion of these
programs is observed, as well as the need for a theoretical methodological
support for the development of an integral management model, in which the
technology component does not constitute a parallel item.Avitia Carlos, P.; Rodríguez Tapia, B.; Candolfi Arballo, N. (2020). ICT management in Latin America educational institutions.
The purpose of this study was to compare which material offers the biggest resistance to bacterial microleakage among guttapercha/Topseal (SybronEndo/Dentsply Mayllefer) and the RealSeal SE (SybronEndo), with the continuous wave obturation technique in 40 roots of human teeth.
For this purpose we used Torabinejab’s microleakage model to measure bacterial microleakage which consisted on an upper chamber containing BHI broth (brain heart infusion) with Enterococcus faecalis, and a lower chamber with Chromocult Culture (Labomersa S.A.).El propósito de este estudio fue comparar que material nos ofrece mayor resistencia a la microfiltración bacteriana entre la gutapercha/Topseal (SybronEndo/Dentsply Mayllefer) y el RealSeal SE (SybronEndo), con la técnica de obturación de onda continua en 40 raíces de dientes de humanos, para lo cual se utilizó el modelo de microfiltración bacteriana de Torabinejad que consistió en una cámara superior en la que se colocó caldo de Infusión cerebro-corazón con Enterococcus faecalis, y una cámara inferior con caldo de Enterococcus Chromocult (Laboratorio Labomersa S.A.)
A Survey on the Application of Evolutionary Algorithms for Mobile Multihop Ad Hoc Network Optimization Problems
Evolutionary algorithms are metaheuristic algorithms that provide quasioptimal solutions in a reasonable time. They have been
applied to many optimization problems in a high number of scientific areas. In this survey paper, we focus on the application of
evolutionary algorithms to solve optimization problems related to a type of complex network likemobilemultihop ad hoc networks.
Since its origin, mobile multihop ad hoc network has evolved causing new types of multihop networks to appear such as vehicular
ad hoc networks and delay tolerant networks, leading to the solution of new issues and optimization problems. In this survey, we
review the main work presented for each type of mobile multihop ad hoc network and we also present some innovative ideas and
open challenges to guide further research in this topic
herramienta analítica WOS (Web of Science) y el software bibliométrico Vosviewer.
Enhanced Antibacterial Activity through Silver Nanoparticles Deposited onto Carboxylated Graphene Oxide Surface
[EN] The strong bactericidal action of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) is usually limited by their degree of aggregation. Deposition of AgNPs onto a graphene oxide (GO) surface to generate GO-Ag hybrids has been shown to be an effective method of controlling these aggregation problems. In this sense, a novel carboxylated graphene oxide-silver nanoparticle (GOCOOH-Ag) material has been synthesized, and their antibacterial and biofilm formation inhibitions have been studied. AgNPs decorating the GOCOOH surface achieved an average size of 6.74 +/- 0.25 nm, which was smaller than that of AgNPs deposited onto the GO surface. In addition, better distribution of AgNPs was achieved using carboxylated material. It is important to highlight the main role of the carboxylic groups in the nucleation and growth of the AgNPs that decorate the GO-based material surface. In vitro antibacterial activity and antibiofilm-forming action were tested against Gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis) and Gram-negative bacteria (Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli). Both GO-Ag and GOCOOH-Ag reduced bacterial growth, analyzed by time-kill curves. However, the minimum inhibitory concentration and the minimum bactericidal concentration of GOCOOH-Ag were lower than those of GO-Ag for all strains studied, indicating that GOCOOH-Ag has better antibacterial activity. In addition, both nanomaterials prevent biofilm formation, with a higher reduction of biofilm mass and cell viability in the presence of GOCOOH-Ag. The carboxylation functionalization in GO-based materials can be applied to improve the bactericidal and antibiofilm-forming action of the AgNPs.This research was funded by Agencia Valenciana de la Innovacio (Valencian Regional Government) under the project INNEST00/19/002 and the Spanish Ministerio de Economia, Industria y Competitividad (project SAF2017-82251-R) and co-financed with ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) "A way for Europe".Barjola, A.; Tormo-Mas, MÁ.; Sahuquillo, O.; Bernabé-Quispe, P.; Pérez, JM.; Giménez Torres, E. El uso de simuladores para la enseñanza en línea de electrónica básica
Avitia Carlos, P.; Rodríguez Tapia, B.; Candolfi Arballo, N.
