Techniques for the study of singularities with applications to resolution of 2-dimensional schemes
We give an overview of invariants of algebraic singularities over perfect
fields. We then show how they lead to a synthetic proof of embedded resolution
of singularities of 2-dimensional schemes.Comment: 26 pages; minor changes have been adde
Deteksi Jumlah Bakteri Total Dan Coliform Pada Sludge Dari Proses Pembentukan Biogas Campuran Feses Sapi Potong Dan Feses Kuda
This study aims to determine the amount of total and coliform bacteria in sludge from the process of forming a mixture of biogas feces of beef cattle and horse feces. The method used in this study is the experimental method in the laboratory using a completely randomized design with 3 treatments, ie P1 = C / N ratio of 25, P2 = C / N ratio of 30 and P3 = C / N ratio of 35 and replications 6 times. To determine the effect of treatments, data were analyzed with ANOVA and Duncan test. The results showed that the mixture of feces of beef cattle and horse feces with various C / N ratio had significant ffect on total bacteria and coliform in sludge. Treatment P3 (C / N ratio 35) to produce the total number of bacteria (4.95 x 107 cfu / g) and coliform (6.33 x 106 cfu / g) the lowest
Classical transients and the support of open quantum maps
The basic ingredients in a semiclassical theory are the classical invariant
objects serving as a support for the quantization. Recent studies, mainly
obtained on quantum maps, have led to the commonly accepted belief that it is
the classical repeller -- the set of non escaping orbits in the future and past
evolution -- the object that suitably plays this role in open scattering
systems. In this paper we present numerical evidence warning that this may not
always be the case. For this purpose we study recently introduced families of
tribaker maps [L. Ermann, G.G. Carlo, J.M. Pedrosa, and M. Saraceno, Phys. Rev.
E {\bf 85}, 066204 (2012)], which share the same asymptotic properties but
differ in their short time behavior. We have found that although the eigenvalue
distribution of the evolution operator of these maps follows the fractal Weyl
law prediction, the theory of short periodic orbits for open maps fails to
describe the resonance eigenfunctions of some of them. This is a strong
indication that new elements must be included in the semiclassical description
of open quantum systems.Comment: 7 pages, 9 figure
Chronic exposure to cannabinoids during adolescence causes long-lasting behavioral deficits in adult mice
Regular use of marijuana during adolescence enhances the risk of long-lasting neurobiological changes in adulthood. The present study was aimed at assessing the effect of long-term administration of the synthetic cannabinoid WIN55212.2 during adolescence in young adult mice. Adolescent mice aged 5 weeks were subjected daily to the pharmacological action of WIN55212.2 for 3 weeks and were then left undisturbed in their home cage for a 5-week period and finally evaluated by behavioral testing. Mice that received the drug during adolescence showed memory impairment in the Morris water maze, as well as a dose-dependent memory impairment in fear conditioning. In addition, the administration of 3 mg/kg WIN55212.2 in adolescence increased adult hippocampal AEA levels and promoted DNA hypermethylation at the intragenic region of the intracellular signaling modulator Rgs7, which was accompanied by a lower rate of mRNA transcription of this gene, suggesting a potential causal relation. Although the concrete mechanisms underlying the behavioral observations remain to be elucidated, we demonstrate that long-term administration of 3 mg/kg of WIN during adolescence leads to increased endocannabinoid levels and altered Rgs7 expression in adulthood and establish a potential link to epigenetic changes.Beca Ramón y Caja
Endeudamiento.
AbstractThis article show the debt policy and agency theory, but considering the ownership structure of Chilean companies. The econometric model was performed using causality and effect analysis , through structural equations models (SEM)) The results reflect a predominance of pecking order model to explain the financing as companies with shareholder concentration. Firms prefer to finance their projects with their own resources, then borrowing to avoid possible loss of control by majority shareholders
MLb-LDLr: A Machine Learning Model for Predicting the Pathogenicity of LDLr Missense Variants
Untreated familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) leads to atherosclerosis and early cardiovascular disease. Mutations in the low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLr) gene constitute the major cause of FH, and the high number of mutations already described in the LDLr makes necessary cascade screening or in vitro functional characterization to provide a definitive diagnosis. Implementation of high-predicting capacity software constitutes a valuable approach for assessing pathogenicity of LDLr variants to help in the early diagnosis and management of FH disease. This work provides a reliable machine learning model to accurately predict the pathogenicity of LDLr missense variants with specificity of 92.5% and sensitivity of 91.6%. © 2021 The Author
