Análise da distribuição de mamógrafos no estado do Piauí

O presente trabalho objetivou descrever e analisar a distribuição dos mamógrafos disponíveis para o Sistema único de Saúde (SUS) no Estado do Piauí com ênfase nas cidades mais populosas, verificando se a distribuição obedece a Portaria GM/MS 1.631. Por meio do estudo descritivo, exploratório e bibliográfico apurou-se dados a partir do site da CNES, referente a distribuição dos equipamentos, seu uso . Com base nisso, observou-se a diferença da distribuição nos estados brasileiros, tal como no Piauí, a quantidade de equipamentos cadastrados pelo SUS e a média aritmética do uso desses aparelhos. Conclui-se que, mesmo com o baixo número de mamógrafos em uso ao comparar com a distribuição de outros estados, algumas cidades do Piauí não obedecem à Portaria GM/MS n° 1.631, sendo evidente a diferença na distribuição e a falta de equipamentos em cidades com grande população

Osseointegrated Implants: A Comprehensive Review

The most common bone disorder found by implant dentists is osteoporosis, which is a systemic skeletal disorder associated with aging, which is characterized by loss of bone mass, making bones fragile and more susceptible to fractures. The World Health Organisation has defined osteoporosis as a bone mineral density level greater than 2.5 standard deviations below the mean of young normal women. After 60 years of age, a third of the population have this disorder, it occurs twice as often in women than in men. It is estimated that 1.3 million fractures and 133,000 all hip fractures occur every year as a result of osteoporosis. This study aimed to discuss aspects of the pharmacological action of Bisphosphonates (BP) and their influence on the bone tissue when associated with treatment with dental implants. There are several types of treatments that prevent or prevent the progression of osteoporosis. So, BP, such as alendronate, are inhibitors of bone resorption. Educación, tecnología y sociedad: relaciones de causalidad de la influencia social en los procesos de toma de decisiones tecnológicas

Este trabajo, buscando entender cómo la sociedad influye en el desarrollo tecnológico en la vida cotidiana, desarrolló un modelo teórico, traducido en escala de Likert para aplicación con estudiantes universitarios brasileños del Estado de São Paulo. Los indicadores sociales presentes en esta escala fueron generados a partir de análisis de contenido, para su posterior aplicación e evaluación cuantitativa por Modelaje de Ecuaciones Estructurales (SEM). Así, es posible apuntar que la muestra de los estudiantes encuestados apuntaran el gobierno, las instituciones educativas y investigativas, las empresas y los ciudadanos, como siendo los principales actores sociales responsables por el desarrollo tecnológico. Resultados que permiten reflexiones sobre la influencia social en las elecciones tecnológicas en el cotidiano, expandido a una breve introducción a los debates que apuntan la importancia de cambios en las políticas públicas para la educación tecnológica.This paper, trying to understand how society influences technological development in daily life, developed a theoretical model, translated into a Likert scale, to be applicable to Brazilians undergraduate students from Sao Paulo. The social indicators that are presented in this scale were generated from content analysis for subsequent implementation and evaluation through to Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). So it is possible to point out that the sample of undergraduates students surveyed points to the government, educational and research institutions, companies and citizens, as the main social actors strictly responsible for technology choices. The result allows brief reflections on the social influence on technology choices in daily life, extended for a brief introduction which indicates the importance of changes in public policies for technology education

A three-dollar cardboard panel solar cooker for low-income communities

Traditional cooking process demands fuel consumption while solar cooking takes advantage of the abundant, free solar energy. A BIOMASSA FLORESTAL (LENHA) COMO INSUMO ENERGÉTICO PARA OS ARTESÃOS DA CIDADE DE TRACUNHAÉM/PE

Situado na Zona da Mata pernambucana, o município de Tracunhaém tem como principal atividade econômica a cerâmica artesanal. A arte ceramista do município conta com renomados artistas, o que faz da cidade um dos maiores centros de excelência na arte da modelagem do barro no país. Pernambuco abriga parte de dois biomas importantíssimos para a biodiversidade do planeta, a Mata Atlântica e a Caatinga, apresenta preocupante estado de degradação ambiental.Os impactos variam desde pequenos focos de desmatamentos, até áreas em processo de desertificação. Este trabalho analisa a demanda por biomassa florestal pelos artesãos de Tracunhaém, em Pernambuco. As atividades desenvolvidas pelos artesãos apresentam um grande potencial impactante, pois além de utilizarem a argila para a confecção de seus produtos, utilizam também a madeira como matriz energética, o que os faz merecer uma atenção especial no campo da pesquisa. Através de um acompanhamento sistemático, novas alternativas tecnológicas podem ser desenvolvidas no campo da produção florestal sustentada, que, embasada em uma política eficiente, pode abrir espaço para a implantação de pólos silviculturais não só para abastecimento dos fornos, mas, também, de outros empreendimentos, que ofereçam demanda por produtos florestais. Os dados nos permitem afirmar que no ano de 1998, os artesãos consumiram 1.235 m³ de lenha. Além do que, no período de realização da pesquisa, existiam 32 fornos a lenha em atividade, para apenas um forno elétrico. Com relação à quantidade de lenha utilizada por mês, verificou-se que cada forno consome em média 5,67 st/mês, fazendo com que o setor apresente uma demanda total mensal de 181,5 st/mês Esta pesquisa constatou que a cidade de Tracunhaém tem por tradição a utilização de carvão vegetal para alimentação dos fornos das cerâmicas, esta atividade provocou uma drástica redução na vegetação local e tende a se agravar, caso medidas urgentes não sejam viabilizadas.----------------------------------------------Situated in the Zone of the bush of Pernambuco state, the city of Tracunhaém has as main economic activity the artisan ceramics. The ceramist art of the city counts on famous artists, what it makes of city one of the biggest centers of excellency in the art of the modeling of clay in the country. At the moment, the State of Pernambuco shelters part of the two very important ecosystem for the biodiversity of the planet, the Atlantic tropical forest and the Caatinga, which presents a serious state of environmental degradation, where the impacts vary since small areas of deforestations, until areas in process of desertification. This work intends to analyze the demand for forest biomass for the craftsmen of the city of Tracunhaém, in Pernambuco state. The activities developed for the craftsmen of the city of Tracunhaém present a great potential impact, therefore besides using the clay for the confection of its products, they also use the wood as first source of energy, what it makes them to deserve a special attention in the field of the research, therefore through a systematic accompaniment, new technological alternatives can be developed, mainly in the field of the supported forest production, that duly based in one efficient politics, can also open space for the implantation of forest projects in these regions, that not only aim at the supplying of the ovens of the craftsmen of the locality in study, but, of other enterprises, that due the its peculiarities, also offer demand for forest products. The data in allow them assure that in the year of 1998, the craftsmen had consumed 1,235 m³ of firewood. Beside, in the period of accomplishment of the research, there were 32 ovens using the firewood in activity, for only one electric oven. With relation to the amount of firewood used for month, it was verified that each oven consumes in average 5,67 st/month, making with that the sector presents a monthly total demand of 181,5 st/month. A Robótica dentro dos ambientes escolares tem sido especialmente impulsionada pela socialização de projetos através da internet. Apesar da credibilidade que sustenta os artigos científicos organizados pelos indexadores acadêmicos, na prática, observa-se que muitos educadores e estudantes, principalmente da educação básica, recorrem a busca direta por meio dos motores de busca como o Google, por exemplo. Buscamos neste trabalho trilhar os caminhos percorridos por estes agentes em busca das referências mais relevantes relacionadas a Robótica Educacional, a fim de observar suas formas de efetivação, fazendo análises quantitativas sobre aspectos relacionados a pesquisa presente no cotidiano do usuário da internet. Os resultados demonstram o aumento na publicação de trabalhos relacionados ao tema analisado e discute dados geográficos das referências, níveis educacionais, materiais didáticos envolvidos e formas de abordagem da temática.
