Ank75. Three of them are new natural products. A further new antifungal is an azoxy derivative 3. All structures were elucidated based on spectroscopic and MS data and will be discussed here

    Anatomical changes of Ipomoea reptans due to mercury uptake and accumulation in contaminant soil

    Heavy metal contaminants like mercury is a serious problem to human, animals, and some plants’ health. Phytoremediation is an alternative technique, which can remediate the contaminants from soil using a hyperaccumulator plant. The goal of this research was to study anatomical changes of plant main organs (roots, stems, and leaves) of  Ipomoea reptans which are assumed as a hyperaccumulator plant that grows in mercury contaminant. The mercury concentration of the growth medium was 0, 61.871, 92.258, and 107.046 ppb. Ipomoea reptans were harvested after 27 days. The anatomical changes of the plant’s main organs were observed by preparing the cross-section of roots, stems, and leaves of I. reptans. The result showed that mercury treatment has caused anatomical damage at the xylem vessel of the root, and decreased bulliform cell size. The anatomical damage was found only in the root of I. reptans. The mercury concentration in media decrease to 0 ppb (P0), 50,420 ppb (P1), 58,583 (P2), and 96,120 (P3)

    Abstract: Streptomyces is one of bacterial genus which has been considered as a potential source of many novel antibiotics from both terrestrial and marine microorganism. In this paper, four secondary metabolites have been isolated and characterized from a marine Streptomyces sp. B5798, namely phydroxyphenylacetic acid (2), indole-3-carboxylic acid (3), indole-3-acetic acid (4), and Macrolactin A (5), respectively. Two of them are common compounds, namely indole-3-carboxylic acid (3) and indole-3-acetic acid (4). The 3,4 dihydroxybenzaldehyde is a degradation product of phydroxyphenylacetic (2) in microorganism. Macrolactin A (5) showed cytotoxicity against brine shrimps test (A. salina). All structures of the isolated compounds were elucidated based on spectroscopic and mass spectrometry data

    The Closure of Isbat For Polygamous Marriage on Legal Purpose Perspective

    After attendance, the enactment of the Supreme Court Circular (SEMA) Number 3 of 2018 answers the legal vacuum over isbat for Polygamous marriage. But in practice, the SEMA confuses its implementation. This study aims to analyze the application of polygamous marriage law in SEMA number 3 of 2018 and the juridical implications for justice, expediency, and legal certainty. This research includes normative legal research with statutory and conceptual approaches. Gustav Radbruch's theory of legal purpose is used as his analysis knife. The study concluded that closing the door of Isbat for Polygamous marriage is not the right solution because marriage isbat is one way to obtain legal guarantees in the eyes of the state. The aggrieved subject of the SEMA was a polygamous wife who could not take legal action in seeking justice. Judging from Gustav Radbruch's theory, SEMA number 3 of 2018 has not met the elements of legal objectives. The provisions in SEMA number 3 of 2018 only accommodate the interests of children. The rights of polygamous wives should be prioritized because the benefits received are more significant than tightly closing the door of isbat for Polygamous marriage. It is necessary to review SEMA number 3 of 2018 to contain concrete values of justice, expediency and legal certainty for children and wives

    β-Sitosterol From Bark Of Artocarpus Camansi And Its Antidiabetic Activity

    Research compound betasitosterol from the bark of plant of Artocarpus camansi (kulu) and test its antidiabetic has been done. The study begins by extracting samples (3.5 kg),w in the solvent of hexane, hexane extracts obtained,then separated by gravity column chromatography, and was characterized by GC-MS. The results obtained are groups of fractions A, and B. From phytochemical test results, the fraction of group B, has a steroid framework. Group fractions B after rechromatographed is obtained a pure isolates of B. Characterization by 1H-NMR and MS (from GC-MS), pure isolate of B is β-sitosterol. Antidiabetic activity test results showed that the extract of n-hexane, fraction group A and fraction group of B  (containing βsitosterol), can lower blood sugar levels male Swiss Webster mice were performed by the method of glucose tolerance. Dose of extract of n-hexane is  50 mg/dL at minute 30th, 60th and 90th can lower glucose as much as 103 mg/dL; 71 mg/dL; and 49.33 mg/dL. Group of  fraction A of a dose 50 mg/dL at 60th minutes and 90th can lower blood glucose of mice are: 116 mg/dL; and 58 mg/dL. Group B fraction (containing β-sitosterol) at a dose of 50 mg/dL at minute 30th, 60th and 90th can lower glucose by 73 mg/dL; 87 mg/dL; and 73.33 mg/dL. Group fraction of B is the highest in lowering blood glucose average compared with n-hexane extract and group A.     Penelitian ini bertujuan melakukan isolasi dan penentuan aktivitas mikrobial senyawa bioaktif reduktiomisin dari bakteri Streptomyces sp. Ank181 daratan (terrestrial). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di laboratorium kimia organik, Institute of Organic and Biomoleculare Chemistry, University of Goettingen, Germany. Isolat dan subkultur agar bakteri Streptomyces sp. Ank181 diperoleh dari koleksi sampel genus Streptomyces Professor Dr. H. Anke, Institute for Biotechnology and Drug Research, Kaiserslautern, Germany. Struktur reduktiomisin dalam penelitian ini dielusidasi berdasarkan data spektroskopi dan spektrometri massa. Tiga senyawa metabolit sekunder telah berhasil diisolasi dan diidentifikasi dari bakteri tanah genus Streptomyces sp. Ank181, yaitu reduktiomisin, asam 2,3-dihidroksibenzoat, dan asam indole-3-karboksilat. Hasil uji antimikroba menunjukkan bahwa reduktiomisin bersifat bioaktif terhadap bakteri, jamur dan sitotoksik terhadap Artemia salina

Pelecehan seksual yang terjadi pada kalangan mahasiswa sangat banyak terjadi, sehingga penting sekali perlunya adanya penanggulangan. Dengan adanya alat digital yang memudahkan pengguna dalam komunikasi lawan jenis dengan cepat yang bisa disalahgunakan untuk pelecehan seksual. Penulis menggunakan metode kuantitatif dalam penelitian ini. Yakni melihat perilaku mahasiswa yang terjaring dalam kejahatan sesksual tindakan pelecehan seksual bagi mahasiswa Universitas PGRI Semarang. Dilakukan dengan cara pengambilan sampel melalui kuisioner secara komprehensif. Pada penelitian ini penulis menemukan bahwa adanya dari kalangan mahasiswa Universitas PGRI yang pernah melakukan tindakan kejahatan seksual

    CHARACTERISTIC OF OVARIAN AND ESTRADIOL CONCENTRATIONS IN THE FOLLICULAR FLUID OF SLAUGHTERED ACEH CATTLE

    The objective of this study was to characterize the morphology of ovary from slaughtered Aceh cow and measuring the concentration of estradiol in the follicular fluid to examine the potential utilizing for in-vitro fertilization (IVF) development in Aceh cattle. In total, 30 pairs of ovaries were collected from 30 Aceh cattle slaughtered at Banda Aceh abattoir. Morphological characteristics of ovaries observed were the size of ovaries, weight of ovaries, number of follicles, the diameter of follicles, corpus luteal (CL), and volume of follicular fluid. The follicular fluid was aspirated using a disposable syringe and analyzed the estradiol concentrations using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The follicles were grouped into 3 categories based on the diameter (Ø) of follicles: small follicles (Ø 1 - 5 mm), medium follicles (Ø 5 - 8 mm), and large follicles (Ø 8 mm). The morphological characteristic of ovaries varied between right and left ovaries in which right ovaries showed bigger size and weight compared to the left ovaries (P0.05), whereas the number of follicles and follicular fluid did not significantly different (P0.05). The concentrations of estradiol in follicular fluid of large and medium follicles were significantly higher compared to small follicles (P0.05), whereas the concentration of estradiol between large and medium follicles, did not significant different (P0.05). In conclusion, the follicles from abattoir can be used as potential oocytes resources to support IVF development for Aceh cattle in the future. The follicular fluid provided from these follicles can be an alternative for in vitro maturation media of oocytes due to containing high estradiol concentrations
