CONSIDERATION AND EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCHES REGARDING THE INTENSIVE SEPARATOR FOR CLEANING OF CEREAL SEEDS

    Get PDF
The cleaning of cereal seeds represent an essential operation of the conditioning chain. Taking into account all considerations, the experts׳ attention has been drawn by the study of phenomena which influence upon the impurities separation process, aiming at a maximum reduction impurities. The paper presents the constructive-functional scheme of an intensive cleaner separator SAI 800 driven by means of electrical motovibrators, design, manufactured and testing at INMA Bucharest. The results of the experimental researches are highlighted, after which the optimal operating parameters were established.

ASPECTS ON OBTAINING THE RAW MATERIAL FOR PELLETIZING

    Get PDF
Energy willow is one of the most important energy crops. The problem is that it is hard to be used in its natural state, because it has low density, is hard to transport and store, thus requiring processing. Pelletizing offers a real possibility to valorise willow by transforming it into solid biofuels. The paper presents experimental researches on the process of obtaining raw material from energy willow in the view of transforming it into pellets

EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCHES ON EXTRUSION PROCESSING OF SOYBEAN SEEDS FOR THEIR SUPERIOR CAPITALIZATION IN ANIMAL FEEDING

The extrusion technology is one of the perspective and efficiency processes, combining hydrothermal and mechanical processing of raw material (soybeans seeds), allowing obtaining new-generation products and components with predetermined properties, with a new structure called instant products, which are successfully used in animals fodder ration. This paper presents the installation for soybean seeds superior capitalization -IVSS (consist of screw conveyor, supply system, extruder, cooling system, mobile belt conveyor and a unit for command and control) and the experimental research in the establishment of its optimal operating parameters. Taking into consideration all this aspects, this project designed at INMA Bucharest tries to transform typical farmer in professional livestock farmer which capitalize on the innovative technologies established by research

CONSIDERATIONS ON OBTAINING CAMELINA OIL BY COLD PRESSING

The oil obtained from oil plants have characteristics and properties that allow use for people food, animals and in some cases alternative fuel engines. Camelina is an oil plant that has properties superior to other known plants: sunflower, soybean, flax, etc., to be used as fuel, the paper presenting some considerations that make this plant as an alternative to fossil fuels

CONSIDERATIONS ON OBTAINING VARIOUS TYPES OF PELLETS FROM DIFFERENT TYPES OF BIOMASS

Materials with lignocellulosic structure (wood, straws, sawdust, etc.) representimportant energy resources. Their main disadvantage consists in the fact that they have very low density, which leads to difficulties in the process of handling, transport, storage, respectively increased production costs. Besides this, high variations of humidity in the material can generate difficulties in the operation and adjustment of processes within the installations where they are used. These drawbacks can be improved by drying and compacting (densification) the material at very high pressures, thus obtaining wood biofuels with a uniform structure, such as pellets. The paper presents the process of compacting different types of biomass in the form of pellets, using a reduced scale pelleting machine

INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR VERTICAL TRANSPORTATION OF GRAIN SEEDS AND TECHNICAL PLANTS

    Get PDF
In order to provide a technical and material basis which allows the best possible preparation of grain seeds and technical plants before being processed, consumed or stored, at the level of the European norms in the field, including compliance with the ecological requirements, a technical equipment is needed to respond all these requirements. The paper presents a belt elevator, with buckets, which is an integral part of the technological flows in silos, seed conditioning plants, FNCs, beer factories, oil factories and is intended for the vertical transportation of granular and powdery products, hence an effective and efficient solution in this field

THE INFLUENCE OF THE SPEED OF REVOLUTION OF A HAMMER MILL ON MISCANTHUS CHIPPINGS

    Get PDF
Taking into consideration the fact that biomass is gradually replacing the existent energy resources, it is necessary to know the preparation process. The first step of this process takes place from the harvesting stage that can be done with or without cutting. High volume of biomass represents an impediment in its usage as a final product. It is necessary to transform it in pellets or briquettes. Thus, each stage of the preparation process was studied by researchers both for establishing the influence of biomass properties on the process as well as for designing the equipment used for preparation process. In this paper experimental research regarding the influence of the speed of revolution of a hammer mill on miscanthus chippings were done. The usage of hammer mills it happens in generally during the second stage of preparation process which refers to fine grinding process of vegetal biomass

Towards industrial internet of things: Crankshaft monitoring, traceability and tracking using RFID

This paper was accepted for publication in the journal Robotics and Computer-Integrated Manufacturing and the definitive published version is available at http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.rcim.2016.02.004.The large number of requirements and opportunities for automatic identification in manufacturing domains such as automotive and electronics has accelerated the demand for item-level tracking using radio-frequency identification technology. End-users are interested in implementing automatic identification systems, which are capable of ensuring full component process history, traceability and tracking preventing costly downtime to rectify processing defects and product recalls. The research outlined in this paper investigates the feasibility of implementing an RFID system for the manufacturing and assembly of crankshafts. The proposed solution involves the attachment of bolts with embedded RFID functionality by fitting a reader antenna reader to an overhead gantry that spans the production line and reads and writes production data to the tags. The manufacturing, assembly and service data captured through RFID tags and stored on a local server, could further be integrated with higher-level business applications facilitating seamless integration within the factory

Social Media Use and Organizational Identity: A Case Study

    No full text
The organizational identity (OI) concept has been used only sporadically in information systems (IS) research despite the fact that technology in general and social media (SM) in particular are transforming the way individuals, groups and organizations think about and define themselves. This study examines the relationship between the extent of employees’ SM use for professional purposes and the nature of OI that employees hold about their employer. This relationship is examined in a medium-sized Italian HR Consulting Company. Data were collected by interviewing 22 employees and from examining their LinkedIn accounts. Our analysis unearths both strategic and cultural aspects of employees OI, with the former prevailing, and finds that that neither of these sides of OI vary depending on the extent of employees’ SM use. Considering that LinkedIn is the world’s largest professional SM, this study also has important practical implications highlighting the need to better explain SM use to employees
