The Turtle will transport past student theses while also serving as a remote "pin-up" review space. The unit travels through and out of campus, in order to place greater publicity on the output of MIT both within and beyond the Institute. This provides theses candidates with a prop for their respective presentations allowing for more informed contributions to the MIT School of Architecture. The Turtle ultimately aims to serve as cultural equipment towards informing a broader sphere of knowledge that becomes more accessible to the contemporary architecture student, their critics/consultants, and their respective audiences. Aplicación del estudio del trabajo para mejorar la productividad del área de finanzas de la empresa C&VERA S.R.L, Lima 2020

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo general determinar cómo la aplicación del Estudio del trabajo mejora la productividad del área de finanzas de la empresa C&VERA S.R.L, Lima 2020, para ello se aplicó el Estudio del trabajo ya que las causas relevantes que intervienen a la baja productividad una de ellas fueron los movimientos que no agregaban valor al proceso y tiempos no establecidos, para dar soluciones a ello se realizó un diagrama de recorrido y análisis de proceso con el fin de acercar el objeto de trabajo para que no haya tiempos largos de transporte y de la misma forma identificar qué actividades no agregaban valor al proceso para así simplificarlas y/o eliminarlas. El tipo de investigación es aplicada, su nivel explicativo, enfoque cuantitativo. La población fueron las licitaciones concluidas. Los instrumentos de recolección de datos fueron las hojas de registro y diagramas asimismo se evaluó la productividad teniendo un 42,76% antes y un 65,56% después respectivamente, dicho aumento se debió al incremento de licitaciones mediante la eliminación de actividades aumentado así las que agregaban valor ello fue favorable puesto que en términos económicos beneficia a la empresa

Involvement of synaptonemal complex proteins in sex chromosome segregation during marsupial male meiosis

Marsupial sex chromosomes break the rule that recombination during first meiotic prophase is necessary to ensure reductional segregation during first meiotic division. It is widely accepted that in marsupials X and Y chromosomes do not share homologous regions, and during male first meiotic prophase the synaptonemal complex is absent between them. Although these sex chromosomes do not recombine, they segregate reductionally in anaphase I. We have investigated the nature of sex chromosome association in spermatocytes of the marsupial Thylamys elegans, in order to discern the mechanisms involved in ensuring their proper segregation. We focused on the localization of the axial/lateral element protein SCP3 and the cohesin subunit STAG3. Our results show that X and Y chromosomes never appear as univalents in metaphase I, but they remain associated until they orientate and segregate to opposite poles. However, they must not be tied by a chiasma since their separation precedes the release of the sister chromatid cohesion. Instead, we show they are associated by the dense plate, a SCP3-rich structure that is organized during the first meiotic prophase and that is still present at metaphase I. Surprisingly, the dense plate incorporates SCP1, the main protein of the central element of the synaptonemal complex, from diplotene until telophase I. Once sex chromosomes are under spindle tension, they move to opposite poles losing contact with the dense plate and undergoing early segregation. Thus, the segregation of the achiasmatic T. elegans sex chromosomes seems to be ensured by the presence in metaphase I of a synaptonemal complex-derived structure. This feature, unique among vertebrates, indicates that synaptonemal complex elements may play a role in chromosome segregation

Satisfacción estudiantil con las clases remotas y competencias del docente en tiempos de pandemia

The aim of the study was to investigate the relationship between satisfaction with educational services and teacher competencies in the remote learning context during the pandemic. A total of 291 students from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at a public university participated, providing informed consent. Two questionnaires were administered to assess satisfaction with the quality of educational services and the perception of teacher competencies in remote learning. Statistical analysis using the Spearman's Rho correlation coefficient revealed a significant association between student satisfaction and teacher competencies, with a correlation coefficient of 0.709 (p-value > 0.01). This association persisted when examining each dimension of educational quality in relation to teacher competencies. In conclusion, a significant positive association was found between satisfaction with educational services and teacher competencies, as perceived by students in a remote context, suggesting that student satisfaction is strongly influenced by the competencies of their teachers.El objetivo del estudio fue determinar cómo se relaciona la satisfacción del servicio educativo con las competencias del docente en el contexto de desarrollo de asignaturas de forma remota, en tiempos de pandemia. Participaron 291 estudiantes de la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades de una universidad pública, previo consentimiento informado a quienes se les aplicaron dos cuestionarios uno para obtener información de satisfacción de la calidad del servicio educativo y otro para medir la percepción de las competencias del docente en el desarrollo de sus asignaturas en la modalidad remota. Los datos fueron sometidos a tratamiento estadístico a través de la correlación de Rho de Spearman para evaluar la asociación entre las dos variables, revelando una significativa asociación entre la satisfacción estudiantil y las competencias de los docentes en el desarrollo de sus clases remotas, con coeficiente de correlación de 0,709 (p-valor >0.01). Lo mismo sucede cuando se analiza cada una de las dimensiones de la calidad educativa con las competencias del docente en el desarrollo de las asignaturas. En conclusión, existe asociación positiva significativa de las variables satisfacción de la calidad del servicio educativo y competencias del docente, desde la percepción del estudiante en un contexto remoto, así la satisfacción del estudiante es explicada en gran parte por las competencias de sus docentes
