¿Pertenencia o identidad? Implicancias de dos categorías socioculturales para los derechos indígenas y la lucha contra el racismo

En este artículo realizamos un examen crítico de algunos de los usos y desarrollos actuales del concepto de identidad, particularmente de la identidad étnica y la etnicidad, ambos vinculados a los pueblos indígenas y afrodescendientes y la construcción de fronteras o límites de inclusión/exclusión social basados en la cultura. Planteamos la revisión y discusión de estos conceptos, teniendo como marco un contexto que desde el posestructuralismo y el posmodernismo ha establecido una cierta hegemonía del relativismo cultural, el primordialismo y el esencialismo, que con el propósito de ampliar la mirada de lo social y los ámbitos de derechos, naturalizan las diferencias culturales haciendo de cuestiones como las identidades sociales un producto más cercano a la biología que a las relaciones sociales, las prácticas y los discursos.

Space and territory from an anthropological perspective. The case of the Purhépechas of Nurío and Michoacán in Mexico

This article analyses some theoretical perspectives about the categories of territory and spacein indigenous contexts. To do this it attempts to review the traditional perspectives which link territory,political practice and ethnicity in indigenous contexts. The problem is addressed from the perspective ofpolitical anthropology and territorial geography, and takes as an example the case of the Purhépechas ofMichoacán in Mexico. The development of this case is important for the subject of territory, since Michoacánand the Purhépechas have been a real “laboratory” of Mexican and North American anthropology for theapplication of concepts and focuses such as “area studies”, “refuge regions” or “indigenous regions”. Thisaccounts for the relevance of an analysis which reviews and questions the assumptions which have been atthe base of these categorisations, starting from a perspective which is more centred on the subjects, theirway of life, and how they represent space and territory

La investigación etnológica en los Llanos Orientales: una visión panorámica

Within the framework of the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the National Ethnological Institute, this work seeks to understand the impulse of the great French ethnologist Paul Rivet and the first anthropologists who received his influence and imprinted the nascent field of ethnology. Likewise, it tries to shed light on the importance of their programmatic visions. I hope to achieve the above by recovering a panoramic view of the ethnology carried out in the Colombian Eastern Plains (Llanos Orientales), whose study was begun by the French and Colombians and later seconded by North Americans, who, despite their notable contributions to the field, did not continue their research in this region.  The Colombian Eastern Plains and the Colombian-Venezuelan Orinoquía still suffer from the lack of prolonged and constant studies on their immense cultural diversity, such a lack is evidence of the great debt that public organizations and academia owe to this corner of the country. In this work, I intend to propose an overview based on the review of the sources and the agents that were behind the ethnological, archaeological and linguistic research of Llanos Orientales. It is my hope that said program arouses the interest of researchers to join the important task of updating anthropological studies of the eastern region of Colombia. I will first make a general description of the indigenous context of the Eastern Plains and then focus on the testimonies that anthropologists have contributed to the study of this region.En el marco de la conmemoración de los 80 años de fundación del Instituto Etnológico Nacional, este trabajo busca comprender el impulso del gran etnólogo francés Paul Rivet y de los primeros antropólogos y antropólogas que recibieron su influencia e imprimieron al naciente campo de la etnología, así como también intenta arrojar luz sobre la importancia de sus visiones programáticas. Espero lograr lo anterior recuperando una visión panorámica sobre la etnología de los Llanos Orientales colombianos, cuyo estudio fue comenzado por franceses y colombianos y luego secundado por norteamericanos, quienes, a pesar de sus notables contribuciones al campo, no continuaron sus investigaciones sobre esta región. Los Llanos Orientales colombianos y la Orinoquía colombo-venezolana adolecen aún de estudios prolongados y constantes sobre su inmensa diversidad cultural, testimonio de la gran deuda que los organismos públicos y la academia deben a este rincón del país. En este trabajo, pretendo proponer un panorama a partir de la revisión de las fuentes y de los agentes que estuvieron detrás de la investigación etnológica, arqueológica y lingüística de los Llanos. Es mi deseo que dicho programa suscite el interés de los investigadores para unirse a la importante tarea de actualizar los estudios antropológicos de la región oriental de Colombia. Performance assessment of a kinetically-powered network for herd localization

Developing a herd localization system capable to operate unattended in communication-challenged areas arises from the necessity of improving current systems in terms of cost, autonomy or any other facilities that a certain target group (or overall users) may demand. A network architecture of herd localization is proposed with its corresponding hardware and a methodology to assess performance in different operating conditions. The system is designed taking into account an eventual environmental impact hence most nodes are simple, cheap and kinetically powered from animal movements-neither batteries nor sophisticated processor chips are needed. Other network elements integrating GPS and batteries operate with selectable duty cycles, thus reducing maintenance duties. Equipment has been tested on Scandinavian reindeer in Lapland and its element modeling is integrated into a simulator to analyze such localization network applicability for different use cases. Performance indicators (detection frequency, localization accuracy and delay) are fitted to assess the overall performance; system relative costs are enclosed also for a range of deployments

LA RELACIÓN CUERPO Y MOVIMIENTO EN LIBROS DE TEXTO DE EDUCACIÓN INFANTIL DE 1996 Y 2012

Abstract: Textbooks are involved in the process of reproduction and direct or indirect transmission of social behavior patterns, norms and values. The aim of this study is to compare the way the relationship between body and movement are represented in the images of a textbook published in 1996 and another published in 2012 belonging to the same publishing group and addressed to the children’s educational system (Pre-K). For the study of the images, the content analysis technique was used based on a system of categories previously established. Despite being published with a gap of sixteen years both textbooks have the following common elements: Equal presence of male and female bodies; they show mainly Caucasian children’s bodies; and finally, none of the textbooks shows a body with any type of disability. In turn, the textbooks are different in terms of the location of the body in space and motor activity levels implied by the images. Although none of categories used for body analysis is related to social class, it is possible to infer that the hegemonic relations that occur in everyday representations of bodies have been developed in the country with a view to a distinct recognition of the differences of gender, race and disability on a scale from greater recognition of gender to a minor recognition in terms of disability. The way the Body and Movement dimensions studied, with their respective categories were addressed allows us to notice different social imaginary settings, contributing to the exercise of criticism that corresponds to teachers and other professionals involved in teaching.Los libros de texto participan en el proceso de reproducción y transmisión directa o indirecta de modelos de comportamiento social, normas y valores. El objetivo del presente estudio consiste en comparar la forma en que se representa la relación cuerpo y movimiento en las imágenes de un libro de texto publicado en 1996 y otro publicado en 2012 pertenecientes al mismo grupo editorial y dirigido al sistema educativo infantil (Pre-Jardín). Para el estudio de las imágenes se utilizó la técnica de análisis de contenido con base en un sistema de categorías previamente establecido. Los dos libros de texto a pesar de ser publicados con una diferencia de diez y seis años, presentan los siguientes elementos comunes: Igualdad de presencia de los géneros masculino y femenino; señalan principalmente cuerpos infantiles con representación racial blanca; y finalmente, los dos libros de texto no representan ningún cuerpo con algún tipo de discapacidad. A su vez, los dos libros de texto se diferencian respecto a la ubicación del cuerpo en el espacio y los niveles de actividad motriz implícitos en las imágenes. Aunque en las categorías usadas para el análisis del cuerpo ninguna está relacionada con la categoría de clase social, es posible inferir que las relaciones hegemónicas que se manifiestan en las representaciones cotidianas de los cuerpos se han desarrollado en el país hacia un reconocimiento diferenciado de las diferencias de género, raza y discapacidad en una escala que va de mayor reconocimiento en cuanto al género a un menor reconocimiento en el asunto de la discapacidad. La forma como las dimensiones de Cuerpo y Movimiento estudiados, con sus respectivas categorías fueron abordadas, permite notar distintas configuraciones de imaginarios sociales, lo que contribuye al ejercicio de la crítica que corresponde a profesores y demás profesionales relacionados con la enseñanza

Estudio financiero para una empresa dedicada a la crianza de peces

Trabajo de síntesisEste ejercicio académico se apoyó en la implementación de herramientas financieras y procesos suministrados a lo largo de la especialización en administración financiera que con la intervención de varias materias académicas se refinaron, igualmente se estructuraran indicadores de gran impacto mediante la elaboración del flujo de caja proyectado de acuerdo a las condiciones de la granja acuícola. Acorde a lo anterior se pretende que este trabajo tenga como objetivo, analizar financieramente al ente económico en estudio, entre los periodos 2016 a 2017, para elaborar un pronóstico de la inversión en este proyecto acuícola, mediante la elaboración del presupuesto de caja y simulación de posibles escenarios.INTRODUCCIÓN 1.
