    ReSolVe : restaurer la fertilité des sols viticoles en agriculture biologique

    Le projet ReSolVe (programme Core Organic Plus) regroupe 6 pays dans l’objectif de restaurer la fertilité des sols viticoles par des méthodes alternatives dans des parcelles conduites en agriculture biologique présentant des zones caractérisées par des déficiences de vigueur, de récolte ou encore de qualité. L’objectif est de tester des techniques compatibles avec l’agriculture biologique afin de rétablir la fertilité et le fonctionnement du sol dans ces zones dégradées : ajout de compost, semis d’engrais verts, et semis d’un enherbement géré en mulch. 6 parcelles d'essai ont été mises en place en France. Les relations entre caractéristiques des sols, biodiversité (dont mésofaune), décomposition de la matière organique et conséquences sur la productivité de la vigne ont été évaluées lors d'une première année témoin en 2015 et les effets de la mise en place des modalités commencent à être évalués en 2016

    Soil enzymes were used to assess the impact of different treatments applied in four farms, each one with three vineyards as replicates, on soil functionality. 8 enzymes related to C, N, S and P cycling were measured and functional diversity indexes were estimated. Three treatments were compared: compost, green manure and dry mulching with respect to degraded and non-degraded soil. The four vineyards showed different enzymatic patterns and response to treatments. Vineyards with the largest difference between degraded and non-degraded soil have benefited more largely from the treatments. In particular, dry mulching seemed to be more effective than green manure or compost, with the exception of San Disdagio. However, the effect the short term

    The purpose of this guideline is to describe the methods used during ReSolVe project for soil functionality assessment, so they can be implemented in similar studies. A brief introduction first underlines what are the main functions of soil and why maintaining an optimal soil functionality is particularly of major interest in viticulture. Then the different protocols selected for ReSolVe project and this guideline are presented according to the following classification: - Part I: assessment of soil physical and chemical features; - Part II: assessment of soil biological features (ecosystem service provision and providers); - Part III: assessment of rhizosphere biological features; - Part IV: assessment of grapevine quantitative and qualitative indicators reflecting soil functionality. In each part, global objectives of the monitoring are explained (what is it used for, in which cases…) and the parameters to evaluate are listed with their corresponding methodological sheet.     Background: Rasburicase (FasturtecH or ElitekH, Sanofi-Aventis), the recombinant form of urate oxidase from Aspergillus flavus, is a therapeutic enzyme used to prevent or decrease the high levels of uric acid in blood that can occur as a result of chemotherapy. It is produced by Sanofi-Aventis and currently purified via several standard steps of chromatography. This work explores the feasibility of replacing one or more chromatography steps in the downstream process by a crystallization step.     Quantitative and qualitative analyses among the soil microarthropods can be used in biomonitoring as tools in multi-disciplinary approach to characterize soil quality. Three groups of microarthropods - Collembola and Oribatida as detrivores and Gamasina as predators - were selected to evaluate the impact of different management treatments adopted to recover degraded soil in organic. Differences in arthropod populations between French and Italian sites were registered. In Italy, after two years of recovering treatments, an increase of the abundances of all groups, particularly detritivores in degraded plots, was observed. The population of gamasids increased, in all sites, only in non degraded plots. Soil invertebrates of similar trophic groups, like collembolans and oribatids, seem to differently respond to treatments: the collembolans were more affected by some agronomic practices enhancing soil fertility
