Relationship between financial literacy and financial distress among youths in Malaysia - an empirical study
This paper examines the relationship between the levels of financial literacy and financial distress among Malaysian
youths. A quantitative approach was adopted to determine the relationship between variables of financial literacy
and those of financial distress. Questionnaires from previous studies were used to determine the levels of financial literacy and financial distress of 430 youths. The findings show that the levels of respondents’ financial distress and financial literacy were moderate. The study also shows that there is a positive but weak relationship between financial literacy and level of financial distress. The implications of the study points to the fact that the
organizations concerned would do well to invest in human resources, in particular, with respect to personal financial
management for their employees as such knowledge investment would help raise the level of financial literacy among employees and achieve the organisations’ own objectives of high productivity. This is evidenced in previous studies that indicated that financial distress was one of the factors leading to reduced productivity at the workplace.
As such this investment in reducing the employees’financial distress by way of enhancing their financial literacy
would serve, in the long run, to improve the effectiveness of the country’s delivery system, especially in the public
service
Enam Kontinum Dalam Konseling Transgender Sebagai Alternatif Solusi Untuk Konseli Lgbt
Globalization caused by modern and dynamic society, creates several kinds of concepts, terms, and new theories today. The development in psychological science, and guidance and counseling are indicators of science development. Society problems come from the result of the change from that society, for example modern lifestyle that gives positive and negative impact. Transgender, gay, and lesbian phenomenon is one of the alternative lifestyle that spreads in Indonesia which is experienced by teenagers. It creates new problem for teenagers, their family, and their surroundings. The biggest problem in this case is there\u27s no specific step for counselor and psychiatrist to help transgender, gay, or lesbian counselee. The new concept that offered in this article is Six Continuum of Transgender Counseling. Six continuum are aimed to give direction for counselor that may help gay, lesbian, and transgender counselee by doing counseling. Six continuum that have to be passed by counselor are (1) self, (2) relationship, (3) differential of feeling, (4) spiritual intervention, (5) acceptance of environment. Researchers are using literature study as their research method, by explored and examined some literatures: books, journal, dissertation, e-book, and some cases that happened in our society. This article especially developed and inspired by previous article. The article\u27s tittle is Transgender Counseling Through (Wisdom-Oriented Counseling Approach)
Digital Paleography: Using the Digital Representation of Jawi Manuscripts to Support Paleographic Analysis
Palaeography is the study of ancient handwritten manuscripts to date the age and to localize ancient and medieval scripts. It also deals with analysing the development of the letters shape. Ancient Jawi manuscripts are one of the least studiedarea. Nowadays, over 7789 known Jawi manuscripts are kept in custody of various libraries in Malaysia. Most of these manuscripts were undated with unknown authors and location of origin. Analysing the different types of writing styles and recognizing the manuscript illuminations can discover this important information. In this paper, we discuss the palaeographical analysis from the perspective of computer science and propose a general framework for that. This process
involves investigation of Arabic influence on the Jawi manuscript writings, establishing the palaeographical type of the script, and classification of writing styles based on local and global Jawi image features
Breakdown characteristics of polyethylene/silicon nitride nanocomposites
Silicon nitride (Si3N4) has been utilized as a nanofiller in polymeric insulation due to its good characteristics in both electrical insulation and thermal conduction properties. In this work, a comparative study was performed between unfilled polyethylene and polyethylene containing different amounts of Si3N4 nanofiller. The study showed that the low density polyethylene (LDPE) added with 15 wt% of Si3N4nanofiller could have higher breakdown strength compared to equivalent LDPE with 10 wt% of Si3N4nanofiller. Morphological characterizations of the nanocomposite samples were performed using field emission electron microscopy (FESEM) and the results showed that the breakdown performance of the investigated materials were affected by the agglomeration of Si3N4 nanoparticles
Art as a Vehicle for Social Change: The Harlem Renaissance
The black gatherings particularly in Harlem, constituting a community with its peculiarities, thanks to the effective contributions of intellectuals and artists through a new movement called the Harlem Renaissance urging the Blacks to struggle peacefully to gain more rights. For about thirty years, African Americans used arts in their battle to dispel common stereotypes. The origins of the movement were articulated in the philosophies of some prominent figures like W. E. Dubois and Allen Locke. The black community is a reality within the U.S.A, no one can deny its rights and this thanks to the struggles it has led, and to artistic contribution which has made the USA a nation with specificities, different from white man‘s country of origin. It sheds light also on the work of Toni Morrison’s Song of Solomon to stress the continuing heritage of the Harlem. A descriptive analytical analysis based on Cultural pluralism and Americanism concepts of Franz Boas‘ theories of race and culture (1930) is used in this research. The aim of the study is to show the role the elites can play to improve their communities’ status and the importance of art in shaping identities and giving insights for a better future. The Harlem Renaissance established the careers of many important African American writers, artists and thinkers who were influential for decades. It brought forth a body of creative cultural work that have become classics in African American and American culture. It created an ongoing interest in African American culture that continues up to this day.

On The Queuing System M/Er/1/N
In this paper the queuing system (M/Er/1/N) has been considered in equilibrium. The method of stages introduced by Erlang has been used. The system of equations which governs the equilibrium probabilities of various stages has been given. For general N the probability of j stages of service are left in the system, has been introduced. And the probability for the empty system has been calculated in the explicit form
Solubility of CO2 in Aqueous Solutions of 2-Amino-2-Methyl-1-Propanol at High Pressure
Carbon dioxide is one of the major green house gases.
It is removed from different streams using amine absorption process.
Sterically hindered amines are suggested as good CO2 absorbers.
Solubility of carbon dioxide (CO2) was measured in aqueous
solutions of 2-Amino-2-methyl-1-propanol (AMP) at temperatures 30
oC, 40 oC and 60 oC. The effect of pressure and temperature was
studied over various concentrations of AMP. It has been found that
pressure has positive effect on CO2 solubility where as solubility
decreased with increasing temperature. Absorption performance of
AMP increased with increasing pressure. Solubility of aqueous AMP
was compared with mo-ethanolamine (MEA) and the absorption
capacity of aqueous solutions of AMP was found to be better
