    A Secure Image Steganography Using Shark Smell Optimization and Edge Detection Technique

    The stegangraphic system supply premium secrecy and ability of conserving the mystery information from gaining stalked or cracked. The suggested method consists of three phases which are edge detection, embedding and extraction. This paper concentrated on three basic and significant parts which are payload, quality, and security also introduces a new steganography method by using edge detection method and shark smell optimization to effectively hide data with in images. Firstly, to promote the hiding ability and to realize altitude standard of secrecy the mystery message is separated into four parts and the cover image is masked and also divided into four sections, then the edge detection algorithm and shark smell optimization is performed on each section respectively. Edge prospectors were utilized to produce edge pixels in every section to hide mystery message and attain the best payload. To increase security, the shark smell optimization is used to select the best pixels among edge pixels based on its nature in motion, then reflect these pixels above original carrier media. Finally the mystery message bits are hidden in the selected edge pixels by using lest significant bit technique. The experimental outcomes appreciated utilizing several image fitness appreciation fashion, it displays best hiding ability, achieve higher image quality with least standard of deformation and provide altitude standard of secrecy, also the results shows that the suggested method exceeds previous approaches in idioms of the PSNSR, MSE also demonstrate that the mystery information cannot be retrieved of the stego image without realizing the algorithms and the values of parameters that are used in hidden proces

    AbstractThe first year of school is an important beginning which involves critical processes, as it determines how a new school-child will perceive the concepts of school, learning, and teacher and the effects of this perception may affect future school success. This new beginning may increase the stress levels of both children and parents. Starting school does not mean that parents transfer their role of educator entirely to the teacher; instead, education should be handled jointly at home and school. To enable this, parents need to be educated too. As such an education would raise the awareness levels of parents, it may also decrease their anxiety levels. In this study, the state anxiety levels of 61 parents with a child who has just started the first grade were measured before and after the parent education program and it was found that the program was effective

    WOS:000849663100001Triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) are promising new generation systems with their basic motion-based working principle using both triboelectric and electrostatic effects. Today, the energy densities of TENGs are insufficient for many electronic devices and new strategies are needed to increase their power conversion efficiency. In this study, two different Perylene-based organic structures were added to the triboelectric layers as well as the electrochemical properties of these structures, and the device parameters related to these properties were investigated. A large variety of instrumental analyses, including cyclic voltammetry, contact angle, scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, and so on, have been used to identify the relationship between doped molecules, their doping ratios, and obtained fiber structures. Depending on molecular structure and even any small variations in side groups of molecules, different doping rates brought about various device outputs. Compared with undoped layers, doping of small molecules led to a similar to 3.3 times increase in the maximum power of the best-performed devices, and a very high voltage value of 500 V was obtained. The analysis of doping with small molecules undertaken here has extended our knowledge of how material design improves the electrical output and contributes to the device performance in TENGs

The contact angles of the surfaces were measured by sessile drop method. Both laser textured and control (untreated) coupons were exposed to the E. coli culture for 48 h in a lab-scaled test system. Attached bacterial counts and produced carbohydrate amounts in extracellular polymeric substances (EPS) on LTS and control surface (CS) were compared to investigate the surface adhesion property of hydrophobic surface. The bacteria were found to be attached to the LTS later than on the CS. Also, the counts of sessile E. coli on the LTS were lower than that on the CS. In addition, it was determined that the carbohydrate amounts on LTS were significantly higher than the ones on CS (p< 0.01). It could be an indication that bacteria secrete more EPS to adhere to the hydrophobic surface. © 2017 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim. All rights reserved

    Early Jurassic–Early Cretaceous Calcareous Nannofossil Biostratigraphy and Geochemistry, Northeastern Iraqi Kurdistan: Implications for Paleoclimate and Paleoecological Conditions

    Early Jurassic- to Early Cretaceous-age calcareous nannofossils from the Sarki, Sehkanyian, Sargelu, Naokelekan, Barsarin and Chia Gara formations are investigated for the first time from the Warte area, northeastern Iraqi Kurdistan. A range of isotopic and inorganic geochemical analyses are carried out in order to reconstruct the paleoecological and paleoclimatic conditions during which the Sarki, Sehkanyian, Sargelu, Naokelekan, Barsarin and Chia Gara formations were deposited. The age of the Sargelu Formation was determined as Bajocian–Callovian based on the first occurrence of Cyclagelosphaera margerelii, Watznaueria britannica, W. fossacincta, W. manivitiae, Watznaueria barnesiae and Watznaueria ovata. Geochemical proxies (Sr, Ca, Al, Rb/Sr, Sr/Cu and Sr/Ba) for paleoclimate and paleoecological conditions, along with oxygen isotopes (δ18O) data, suggest that warm and arid climatic conditions were predominant during the Early Jurassic–Early Cretaceous period

    A persistent, low-grade inflammation accompanies many chronic diseases that are promoted by physical inactivity and improved by exercise. The beneficial effects of exercise are mediated in large part by peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ coactivator (PGC) 1α, whereas its loss correlates with propagation of local and systemic inflammatory markers. We examined the influence of PGC-1α and the related PGC-1β on inflammatory cytokines upon stimulation of muscle cells with TNFα, Toll-like receptor agonists, and free fatty acids. PGC-1s differentially repressed expression of proinflammatory cytokines by targeting NF-κB signaling. Interestingly, PGC-1α and PGC-1β both reduced phoshorylation of the NF-κB family member p65 and thereby its transcriptional activation potential. Taken together, the data presented here show that the PGC-1 coactivators are able to constrain inflammatory events in muscle cells and provide a molecular link between metabolic and immune pathways. The PGC-1s therefore represent attractive targets to not only improve metabolic health in diseases like type 2 diabetes but also to limit the detrimental, low-grade inflammation in these patients
