    Get PDF
Purpose:  The main objective of this work is to identify and contribute to our understanding the relationship, importance, and benefits of applying good practices in Document Management in public entities.   Theoretical framework:  Recent literature has highlighted the significance of employing good practices in document management within organizational settings. These practices encompass efficient data organization, accessibility, version control, and security measures (Malekany, 2022). However, the precise impact and implications of implementing these practices remain a subject of ongoing exploration.   Design/Methodology/Approach: through a method of a systematic review and Meta-analysis, for which 51 research articles from the last 05 years were selected to be reviewed, it was compiled from different search sources and served to respond to the 08RQ raised that will allow a better understanding.   Findings: When reviewing, the first discoveries that were found were the multiple benefits that are obtained by using good practices such as cost savings, and speed of service, among others. The results show that in other countries, they already make use of them, and they become not an obligation but a part of the habit, from day to day regardless of the sector or area to which the institution is dedicated to.   Research, Practical & Social implications: We suggest a future research agenda and highlight the contributions made to executive and management education.   Originality/Value: Document management is an evolving domain, and there is still much to uncover and comprehend regarding its effects on productivity, information retrieval, and overall organizational performance

The duration of outdoor activities in extreme dry in warm weather, depends on the hygrothermal comfort conditions for users. In addition to the thermal environment conditions there are risks such as dehydration or Heat Stroke. The objective of this study was to estimate the comfort conditions for temperature and relative humidity of outdoor users of a recreational center in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. This work shows the estimated neutral temperatura, neutral relative humidity and thermal comfort ranges during the warm period for a public recreational green area located on a desert climate. A questionnaire was designed based on the scale of thermal sensation of ISO 10551 were measured dry bulb temperatura and relative humidity. A total of 822 questionnaires were applied during the months of July and August 2008. By estimated neutral temperatura, neutral relative humidity and comfort range with a statistical method of correlation. The analysis was done for three activity levels: passive, moderate e intense, besides the three levels together. The period of climate analyzed was asymmetric. The neutral temperature values obtained are approximately symmetrical with respect to the thermal comfort range, while the relative humidity comfort for moderate and intensity activity was asymmetric. The neutral temperatures and relative humidity obtained show that the intense activity in subjects with regular exercise and practice habits appropriate to the weather conditions, had a temperature of comfort similar to subjects with passive activity.Peer Reviewe

Nonetheless, further research is needed to corroborate these conclusions. The data comes from several sources, making bias less likely.   Practical implications: The study suggests that labor organizations review their practices regarding the incorporation of their workers, with due respect for equality between men and women, understanding that both have the same opportunities, rights and, furthermore, that they must be evaluated based on the capacity development.   Originality/Value: This study whose selection criteria of a large number of investigations of the main databases, led us to the analysis of sixty scientific articles, answering the research questions and establishing significant conclusions on the subject matter

Analysing the natural population growth of a large marine mammal after a depletive harvest

    Get PDF
An understanding of the underlying processes and comprehensive history of population growth after a harvest-driven depletion is necessary when assessing the long-term effectiveness of management and conservation strategies. The South American sea lion (SASL), Otaria flavescens, is the most conspicuous marine mammal along the South American coasts, where it has been heavily exploited. As a consequence of this exploitation, many of its populations were decimated during the early 20th century but currently show a clear recovery. The aim of this study was to assess SASL population recovery by applying a Bayesian state-space modelling framework. We were particularly interested in understanding how the population responds at low densities, how human-induced mortality interplays with natural mechanisms, and how density-dependence may regulate population growth. The observed population trajectory of SASL shows a non-linear relationship with density, recovering with a maximum increase rate of 0.055. However, 50 years after hunting cessation, the population still represents only 40% of its pre-exploitation abundance. Considering that the SASL population in this region represents approximately 72% of the species abundance within the Atlantic Ocean, the present analysis provides insights into the potential mechanisms regulating the dynamics of SASL populations across the global distributional range of the species.Fil: Romero, Maria Alejandra. The use of photodynamic therapy (PDT) against cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) based on chloroaluminum phthalocyanine (ClAlPc) is a promissory alternative therapy. The main purpose of this article was to assess the internalization and in vitro phototoxic activities of ClAlPc encapsulated in ultradeformable liposomes (UDL-ClAlPc) in Leishmania parasites and mammalian cells. Cell internalization was determined by fluorescence microscopy, cell and parasite damage by standard MTT or direct microscopic analysis and a phototoxic index (PI) was calculated as the compound activity (IC50) at 0 J/cm 2/IC50 at 17 J/cm2. Liposomal and free ClAlPc were internalized by infected and non-infected THP-1 cells and co-localized in the mitochondria. Treatment of UDL-ClAlPc was almost 10 times more photoactive than free ClAlPc on THP-1 cells and promastigotes and intracellular amastigotes of Leishmania chagasi and Leishmania panamensis. Liposomal compounds were active on non-irradiated and irradiated cells however PI higher than 50 were calculated. PI for amphotericin B referential drug were lower than 1.2. Empty liposomes tested at the same lipid concentration of active ClPcAl-liposomes were non-toxic. Upon photodynamic treatment a nonselective-parasite activity against intracellular amastigotes were observed and loss of membrane integrity resulting in a release of parasites was detected. Further studies oriented to evaluate both the state of infection after PDT and the effectiveness of UDL as delivery vehicles of ClAlPc in CL experimental models are required.Fil: Hernández, Indira Paola. Perception-Aware Perching on Powerlines With Multirotors

    Get PDF
Multirotor aerial robots are becoming widely used for the inspection of powerlines. To enable continuous, robust inspection without human intervention, the robots must be able to perch on the powerlines to recharge their batteries. Highly versatile perching capabilities are necessary to adapt to the variety of configurations and constraints that are present in real powerline systems. This letter presents a novel perching trajectory generation framework that computes perception-aware, collision-free, and dynamically-feasible maneuvers to guide the robot to the desired final state. Trajectory generation is achieved via solving a Nonlinear Programming problem using the Primal-Dual Interior Point method. The problem considers the full dynamic model of the robot down to its single rotor thrusts and minimizes the final pose and velocity errors while avoiding collisions and maximizing the visibility of the powerline during the maneuver. The generated maneuvers consider both the perching and the posterior recovery trajectories. The framework adopts costs and constraints defined by efficient mathematical representations of powerlines, enabling online onboard execution in resource-constrained hardware. The method is validated on-board an agile quadrotor conducting powerline inspection and various perching maneuvers with final pitch values of up to 180 ∘ . The developed code is available online at: https://github.com/grvcPerception/pa_powerline_perchin
