We continue with the publication of a bibliography and index of place-names from the journal Bullettino di archeologia e storia dalmata / Vjesnik za arheologiju i historiju dalmatinsku / Vjesnik za arheologiju i povijest dalmatinsku. As in the preceding volumes, the data for the bibliography and index were taken from the articles, the journal’s cover wrappers and from the supplements. The articles are numbered and organized in alphabetical order by author name. The unsigned articles are listed before the signed articles. The numbers in the index designate bibliographic units. The abbreviations are accompanied by changes in journal titles, and a precise list of each year/volume, year of publication and year of printing

Roditelji su ispunili Upitnik Socioekonomskog statusa obitelji (SES; Velki, 2012), Skalu roditeljske uključenosti u obrazovanje djet eta (RUOD; Velki, 2012) i Upitnik roditeljskog poznavanja djetetovih vršnjaka (RPDV; Velki, 2012). Basic goal of this study was to examine age, gender and socioeconomic differences between parents, in relation to their involvement in childhood education and ado lescent peer relationships. The study included 192 parents (25% fathers and 75% mothers) of adolescent s of first, second, third and fourth grade from the seven secondary schools in Slavonia. Average age of parents was 45.28 years (sd = 6.03) and age ranged from 33 to 65 years. Parents completed the Socioeconomic Status Family Questionnaire (SES; Velki, 2012), the Scale of Parental Inclusion in Child’s Education (RUOD; Velki, 2012) and Questionnaire on Parental Knowledge of a Child (RPDV; Velki, 2012). The obtained results show that parents do not differ in involvement in child’s education, regarding gender; but that mothers are better acquainted with child's peers than fathers. Also, parents of different ages are equally involved in childhood education as well as adolescent peer relationships. The results of this research indicate that there is no difference in involvement of parents in schooling and adolescent peer relations, due to socioeconomic status

This is a book report on "The Early Reader in Children\u27s Literature and Culture" which was edited by Jennifer M. Miskec and Annette Wannamaker. The essay collection The Early Reader in Children’s Literature and Culture deals with books especially written and designed for children who are beginning to read independently, called Early Readers, and it is the first volume to consider this category. In the book, the editors argue that Early Readers deserve more attention than they have so far received, as they play a very important role in the process of learning how to read

    Interpolatory Weighted-H2 Model Reduction

    Get PDF
This paper introduces an interpolation framework for the weighted-H2 model reduction problem. We obtain a new representation of the weighted-H2 norm of SISO systems that provides new interpolatory first order necessary conditions for an optimal reduced-order model. The H2 norm representation also provides an error expression that motivates a new weighted-H2 model reduction algorithm. Several numerical examples illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach

Based on the current scholarly literature, daily press, and published archival sources, the author has reconstructed the process of modernization of Zagreb through the prism of electrification. After the initial amazement that the public demonstrations of electric power caused, it became an indispensable energy source in everyday use. Ultimately, the amount of its consumption in industry and per capita is an indicator of development in a particular area

NATIONALIZATION OF THE FRENCH CAPITAL IN CROATIA 1945 - AN EXAMPLE OF THE SODOAD COMPANY

    Get PDF
In 1945 "the revolutionary forces" gained political power in Yugoslavia. The economic and political transformation necessary for the development of a socialist society was possible only by abrogating the existing proprietary relations. This is exactly the reason why the Communist Party of Yugoslavia decided to disown all capital holders (including foreign capital holders) in order to withhold the material basis for the power struggle. The SODOAD company was among firms nationalized in 1945

The Bray-Liebhafsky oscillatory reaction: Kinetic investigations in reduction and oxidation pathways based on hydrogen peroxide concentration monitoring

By direct monitoring of the hydrogen concentration during its catalytic decomposition into water and oxygen in the presence of potassium iodate and sulfuric acid, that is in the Bray-Liebhafsky system, the pseudo-rate constants of overall reduction and oxidation pathways were determined The dependence of the obtained rate constants on acidity was evaluated. It was found that the pseudo-rate constant of the overall reduction process increases with increasing acidity, whereas the pseudo-rate constant of the overall oxidation process decreases with increasing acidity. The corresponding activation energies were also calculated using values of this constant at two temperatures.

Activation energies as the validity criterion of a model for complex reactions that can be in oscillatory states

    Get PDF
Modeling of any complex reaction system is a difficult task. If the system under examination can be in various oscillatory dynamic states, the apparent activation energies corresponding to different pathways may be of crucial importance for this purpose. In that case the activation energies can be determined by means of the main characteristics of an oscillatory process such as pre-oscillatory period, duration of the oscillatory period, the period from the beginning of the process to the end of the last oscillation, number of oscillations and others. All is illustrated on the Bray-Liebhafsky oscillatory reaction
