A “moda” das aparelhagens

Neste artigo desenvolvo observações acerca da dinâmica “evolutiva” das chamadas festas de aparelhagem, a partir de sua recente projeção em Belém do Pará, apresentando alguns aspectos concernentes à sua reprodução no contexto citadino, incluindo suas dimensões pública e estético-performática. Utilizo-me de teorias construídas no âmbito das Ciências Sociais sobre a função e o significado das expressões festivas, especialmente, no que diz respeito à relação entre festa e cotidiano. Por meio de tais considerações, delimitei heuristicamente um quadro composto por três aspectos mutuamente envolvidos: a) a dimensão estrutural do evento festivo, marcada pela ordem da diferenciação suntuosa (estética, plástica, dramática e performática), b) a reprodução pública, correspondente às estratégias publicitárias, às veiculações nos meios de comunicação locais e regionais e à divulgação e promoção dos elementos relativos ao primeiro aspecto e c) as redes de sociabilidades, esteticidades, códigos de identificação grupal, gramaticalidades, afetividades, devidamente representados ordinária e eventualmente.This article describes the recent prominence and the “evolutionary” dynamics of festas de aparelhagem in Belem, presenting some related aspects to its reproduction in the context of the city, including their public and aesthetic-performative dimensions. We carry out a debate with Social Sciences theories on function and meaning of festive expressions, especially with regard to the relationship between festivities and everyday life. Through these considerations, a framework was delimited heuristically, composed of three aspects mutually involved: a) the structural dimension of the festive event, marked by order of monumental differentiation (aesthetic, plastic, dramatic and performative); b) the public performance, corresponding to advertising strategies, the broadcasts in local and regional media and the dissemination and promotion of elements related to the first aspect; and c) the sociability networks, aesthetic interests, group identification codes, grammaticality, affectivity, duly represented ordinary and eventually.

“O Caribe é aqui!": Considerações sobre a construção de uma identidade ético-estética paraense

Pensar os diferentes recursos, estratégias e negociações a partir dos quais grupos sociais diversos constroem suas fronteiras identitárias consiste em reconhecer, desde já, que se está a caminhar por terrenos repletos de trilhas que se cruzam, bifurcam-se, encontram-se ou até mesmo estão por serem abertas, e que não deixam de constituir os percursos pelos quais se deve enveredar. Por meio desta comunicação apresento algumas considerações desenvolvidas acerca da contribuição, apropriação e influência de gêneros musicais caribenhos para o processo de construção de uma identidade ético-estética paraense. Pesquisas preliminares sugerem que além das relações decorrentes de circunstá‚ncias e condições históricas, tecnológicas e geográficas específicas, houve também uma série de construções e articulações performático-discursivas no direcionamento que a relação Caribe/Pará teria ou não assumido para a definição e legitimação de uma identidade marcada pela presença caribenha. Além disso, percebe-se que este processo não se deu de maneira tão casual ou pontual, pois envolveu domínios múltiplos, que incluem transformações e fenoÌ‚menos inclusive globais, gradativamente e em diversas frentes, abrangendo projetos implementados ou articulados por sujeitos e grupos sociais com vistas à configuração desta relação.Â

Observando o invisível

O atual trabalho tem como objetivo a análise de uma oficina na qual estudantes do nono ano tiveram liberdade artística para elaborar explicações de fenômenos físico-químicos a nível atômico e os conceitos envolvidos através de desenhos, sendo eles: a combustão, a solubilização, a passagem de estado físico e reações de oxirredução. Essa oficina seguiu os critérios de um estudo de caso em que foi apresentada a importância e a problemática do uso das representações e utilizou a estratégia de estudo de tarefa individual. A análise desses desenhos foi feita utilizando, principalmente, a teoria de Gaston Bachelard para entender os possíveis obstáculos epistemológicos presentes nas representações, mas a teoria cognitiva de Jean Piaget e a teoria de ensino de David Ausubel vieram ao encontro para auxiliar no entendimento do momento cognitivo do estudante e para pensar em formas de contemplar uma aprendizagem significativa. A grande amostragem de trabalhos fornecem um amplo espectro de análises em que podemos observar exemplos clássicos dos obstáculos epistemológicos realista, animista, verbal e substancialista; inferências sobre qual a abstração o estudante realizou, podendo ser a partir de um objeto ou de uma ideia; e, por fim, com qual tipo de aprendizagem o estudante chegou na oficina, se foi com uma por assimilação ou significativa. Esse trabalho cria um precedente para futuras sequências didáticas em que o estudante seja o centro das atenções durante as aulas para realizar atividades que, mediadas pelo professor, destaquem possíveis obstáculos que apareçam no processo de ensino-aprendizagem, seja reconhecida sua capacidade cognitiva para ser desenvolvidas aulas que oportunizem a presença da aprendizagem significativa.The current essay aims to analyze a workshop in which ninth-grade students had artistic freedom to elaborate explanations of physical-chemical phenomena at the atomic level and the concepts involved through drawings, namely: combustion, solubilization, state change physical and redox reactions. This workshop followed the criteria of a case study in which the importance and problems of using representations were presented and used the individual task study strategy. The analysis of these drawings was made using, mainly, the theory of Gaston Bachelard to understand the possible epistemological obstacles present in the representations, but the cognitive theory of Jean Piaget and the teaching theory of David Ausubel came together to assist in the understanding of the cognitive moment of the student and to think of ways to contemplate a meaningful learning. The large sampling of works provides a wide spectrum of analysis in which we can observe classic examples of realistic, animistic, verbal and substantialist epistemological obstacles; inferences about which abstraction the student made, which may be based on an object or an idea; and, finally, with what type of learning did the student arrive at the workshop, whether it was with assimilation or meaningful one. This work creates a precedent for future didactic sequences in which the student is the center of attention during classes to perform activities that, mediated by the teacher, highlight possible obstacles that appear in the teaching-learning process, their cognitive ability is recognized in order to create classes that allow the presence of meaningful learning

Sentidos de “hysteria” em uma tese médica do século XIX

O presente trabalho busca discutir diferentes sentidos de histeria dentro do cenário nacional. Trata-se de um estudo sobre as intersecções entre a histeria e a história social e cultural do Brasil, tendo como foco a compreensão da construção social do papel da mulher na sociedade. Para isso, focamos especialmente em uma tese médica do século XIX, pois ela nos revela fenômenos sociais e culturais que estão por trás das diferentes percepções sobre a histeria. Em um primeiro momento, fizemos uma recapitulação histórica sobre o conceito, partindo da Grécia Antiga e chegando a Charcot e Freud. Após isso, trabalhamos a questão histérica no Brasil, sob a ótica da constituição de um projeto médico brasileiro que visava, entre outras coisas, ao controle social da população. Finalmente, fizemos uma análise da tese médica intitulada Dissertação Sobre a Hysteria, de Rodrigo José Gonsalves, publicada pela Faculdade de Medicina do Rio de Janeiro em 1846. Durante a análise, encontramos elementos que nos revelam diferentes concepções sociais sobre o gênero feminino e sobre o projeto médico brasileiro como um todo durante o período do Brasil Colônia e da Primeira República.This work aims to discuss different meanings of hysteria within the Brazilian context. It is a study about the connection between hysteria and the social and cultural history of Brazil, which focuses on understanding a social construction related to the role of women in society. To achieve this goal, we analyzed a 19th-century medical thesis, as it reveals social and cultural phenomena which are present behind different perceptions of hysteria. Firstly, we used a historical review approach with the intent of understanding the development of the concept of hysteria, beginning in Ancient Greece and making our way towards Charcot and Freud. Next, we focused on how the condition developed in Brazil, taking into account the constitution of a medical project that aimed, among other things, at social control of the population. Finally, we analyzed the discourse of the medical thesis entitled "Dissertação Sobre a Hysteria", written by Rodrigo José Gonsalves and published in Rio de Janeiro in 1846. During the analysis, we found elements that reveal different social conceptions about the female gender and the Brazilian medical project as a whole during the 19th and early 20th centuries

Technical and economic feasibility study for offshore transshipment operation: Case study for the port of Vila do Conde / PA

Intercontinental cargo transport is carried out mainly through the waterway modal, increasing the number of vessels and the deadweight of ships. This means that onshore ports cannot stand the cargo demands and, to make them competitive in this reality, a very high investment is needed, and their expansion can produce serious environmental impact. Thus, it is necessary to search for alternatives that facilitate the flow of vessels in the regional and world scenario. Hence, the present work conducts a technical and economic feasibility study of a direct offshore transshipment operation of solid bulk cargo of vegetable origin at the Organized Port of Vila do Conde, in Brazil, using the Net Present Value (NPV) methods, Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Payback. In the study, three scenarios were considered, each of which had its particularity related to the operating life and the amount of cargo handled. Therefore, it was noted that offshore transshipment is more viable in two scenarios – the project\u27s useful life is up to 14 years, so that the investment of capital in an onshore installation is more viable. Furthermore, it was found that, only in the worst-case scenario, offshore transshipment overlapped the other activity in any period of its useful life

Charge transfer mechanisms in DNA at finite temperatures: from quasiballistic to anomalous subdiffusive charge transfer

We address various regimes of charge transfer in DNA within the framework of the Peyrard-Bishop-Holstein model and analyze them from the standpoint of the characteristic size and timescales of the electronic and vibrational subsystems. It is demonstrated that a polaron is an unstable configuration within a broad range of temperatures and therefore polaronic contribution to the charge transport is irrelevant. We put forward an alternative fluctuation-governed charge transfer mechanism and show that the charge transfer can be quasi -ballistic at low temperatures, diffusive or mixed at intermediate temperatures, and subdiffusive close to the DNA denaturation transition point. Dynamic fluctuations in the vibrational subsystem is the key ingredient of our proposed mechanism which allows for explanation of all charge transfer regimes at finite temperatures. In particular, we demonstrate that in the most relevant regime of high temperatures (above the aqueous environment freezing point), the electron dynamics is completely governed by relatively slow fluctuations of the mechanical subsystem. We argue also that our proposed analysis methods and mechanisms can be relevant for the charge transfer in other organic systems, such as conjugated polymers, molecular aggregates, alpha-helices, etc

A dívida pública como mecanismo de aumento da desigualdade de renda no Brasil

As elevadas taxas praticadas aqui nas últimas duas décadas, em conjunto com a alta concentração da renda e da riqueza, acabam gerando um mecanismo de manutenção da desigualdade socioeconômica. Mesmo com todo crescimento do PIB e da renda observadas nos anos 2000, a desigualdade continuou intacta no estrato mais rico. Este trabalho busca discutir como as taxas de juros vêm atuando nas transferências, cada vez maiores, de recursos orçamentários oriundos dos tributos em geral em benefício, principalmente, das instituições financeiras e de um pequeno grupo que acumula a maior parte da renda no país. Procurou-se analisar quem são os detentores da dívida pública brasileira e como eles estão distribuídos em termos de renda e de riqueza financeira. Para tanto, utilizou-se uma metodologia de viés descritivo, associado a um conjunto de análises de natureza predominantemente empírica e quantitativa, a partir de documentos oficiais e artigos de jornal sobre o tema. Desta maneira, os dados apresentados revelaram que o Brasil é um país que combina elevada concentração do patrimônio financeiro com um crescimento da renda sobre o capital a taxas muito superiores aos rendimentos do trabalho. Como consequência, gera o favorecimento a uma pequena parcela da população que, ao obter a maior parte de seus rendimentos a partir dos ganhos do capital, é a maior beneficiária dos juros aqui praticados

A INFLUÊNCIA DOS CUIDADOS DE ENFERMAGEM E A EQUIPE MULTIPROFISSIONAL NO LUTO DA FAMÍLIA: UMA REVISÃO DA LITERATURA

Grief corresponds to the emotional response to the immutable loss of someone or something that is highly appreciated, being a unique and individual experience. The way the health team deals with this event and with the bereaved family can impact the way they experience bereavement. The objective of this work is to understand, based on recent literature, the influence that nursing professionals have and what behaviors are adopted to face the grief in the companion / family. Method: The present study is an integrative review of recent literature. The search for the articles was carried out in the LILACS, BDENF databases and in the virtual library SCIELO. After the inclusion and exclusion criteria were included, 27 scientific articles were selected that were related to the research objective. Results: The complete reading of the articles, as well as the division of these into subgroups, according to the main theme of the work, made it possible to understand these themes and discuss three lines that answer the research objective, these being The problems of the health team in assistance to the family and the patient; Communication as a way of humanizing care; and The importance of health professionals for the bereaved family. Conclusion: Although it is very important to introduce the subject in the academy, it is something that the professional, too, learns to deal with the accumulation of experience. However, the basis for doing this must begin during graduation. Nursing conduct should not be one of the reasons that contribute negatively to the family's grieving process.O luto corresponde a resposta emocional a perda imutável de alguém ou algo que se tenha muito apreço, sendo uma experiência única e individual. A forma como a equipe de saúde lida com este evento e com a família do enlutado pode impactar na forma como estes experienciam o luto. O objetivo deste trabalho é compreender, com base na literatura recente, a influência que os profissionais de Enfermagem possuem e quais as condutas adotadas para o enfrentamento do luto no acompanhante/família. Método: O presente estudo é uma revisão integrativa da literatura recente. A pesquisa dos artigos foi feita nas bases de dados LILACS, BDENF e na biblioteca virtual SCIELO. Após a inclusão dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão, foram selecionados 27 artigos científicos que estavam relacionados ao objetivo da pesquisa. Resultados: A leitura completa dos artigos, bem como a divisão destes em subgrupos, conforme o tema principal do trabalho, possibilitou a compreensão de tais temas e discussão de três linhas que respondem ao objetivo da pesquisa, sendo estas Os problemas da equipe de saúde na assistência a família e o paciente; A comunicação como forma de humanização do cuidado; e A importância dos profissionais de saúde para a família enlutada. Conclusão: Apesar de ser muito importante a introdução do assunto na academia, é algo que o profissional, também, aprende a lidar com o acúmulo da experiência. Porém, as bases para se realizar isto devem começar durante a graduação. As condutas de enfermagem não devem ser um dos motivos que contribuem negativamente no processo de luto da família
